  1. OK timbo let's have the link then.
  2. Check out this review of my Tag Indy 500, very close to original and both quartz. http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...hl=tag+indy+500
  3. I didn't really like it much at first, but after the reviews and wristshots it's really grown on me great buy!
  4. http://www.cousinsuk.com/searchresults.aspx?searchtext=st18
  5. My gen Tag Aquaracer continues to wind as I screw the crown in
  6. I'm not sure, he's an apprentice dealer and also the one that offered a Swiss Cousteau for $400, so I think the jury's still out. You could try contacting ajoesmith, he recently bought a batch of A7750s and he's totally legit - I bought two Swiss movements from one of his earlier group buys which went perfectly
  7. Well one option would be a new movement, there's a new apprentice dealer on TRC (crippler) offering Asian 7750's for $45 plus $30 shipping
  8. I think at least one member has taken the plunge on one of his offers and is going to post feedback on the board when he gets his watch........so let's wait and see.
  9. As you're in the UK you might want to give PT a try, based in the UK and ships from there too so no drop shipping and no customs issues to worry about. www.precioustime-uk.com or www.ptswiss.com. Good luck.
  10. Great link offshore, thanks for posting.
  11. Did you just buy this watch?? It may just be the quality of your photography but that looks a little beat up to me, if its new I would send it back for replacement.
  12. Just thought I'd share a couple of pics of my new Swiss blue dial Steelfish. Watch is from PT, supplied on the SS bracelet, leather strap and deployant from Ruby. Maybe an unusual colour combination but I like it
  13. There's also a blue dial available from certain dealers which would get my vote
  14. I suppose what I meant by reasonable was "cheap", when Cousins had them on stock they were priced at
  15. I've had an order for an ETA 2824-2 loose pack movement on back order from Cousins for several weeks now and have just had an email to say that they can no longer source them. Their website still shows the factory sealed movements (too expensive) but they've also told me they're having trouble getting these and the loose pack is now listed as obsolete. Does anyone know of a reasonably priced source for these movements, preferably in EU, Ofrei list them but they're too expensive for what I have in mind and I've heard they can be a pain to deal with. Alternatively, if anyone has a working 2824 going spare at a reasonable price let me know. Thanks.
  16. Nice one rodwc, I'll try that myself. One question, does the flip clasp come off the bracelet? I see its attached by what appears to be a double ended screw, is that a screw or just some kind of pin that's made to look like a screw?
  17. Doesn't Homer carry some unbranded Pams and Rolies?
  18. I think the 7751 is based on the 7750 but with a different date arrangement and the addition of a moon phase display.
  19. Cousins product reference for 1.8mm x 22mm "Swiss made spring bars" is 138A22,
  20. Hand size info as originally posted by The Zigmeister: Genuine ETA 7750 all variants (all) Hour 2.00mm Minute 1.20mm Center Seconds 0.25mm Subdials 0.17mm ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Old Asian 7750 version all variants(21,600 BPH) Hour 2.00mm Minute 1.20mm Center Seconds 0.25mm Subdials 0.17mm ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- New Asian 7750 (28,800 BPH) Normal ones - NOT the Daytona model Hour 2.00mm Minute 1.20mm Center Seconds 0.20mm Subdial 0.20mm Also note on the New 7750, the center seconds post, is below the top of the minute hand tube. On all other versions of the 7750, the center seconds post is about 1mm above the minute hand tube, not below it. Therefore the center seconds hand on the new 7750's, has an extra long tube on it, to make up this height difference. So not only is the hand smaller in diameter, it's longer as well... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- New Asian 7750 Daytona model (28,800 BPH) Hour 2.00mm Minute 1.20mm Center Seconds 0.20mm Subdial 0.17mm NOTE that on the new Daytona model, the 9 and 3 subdials are above the center line of the movement, whereas the other 7750's are all in line with the center post. In other words, a Daytona has the subdial hands slightly higher than the 3 and 9 markers, but a 7750 has the subdial hands at 3 and 9 lined up with the markers. Also note that the center seconds hand post is ABOVE the minute hand tube.
