  1. Must be a mistake. Do the conversion yourself, at today's exchange rate $225 =
  2. This one is a rep. rep gen If you look at a picture of the real thing you will see that there are 11 sections on the barrel of the pen between the areas that I've marked and from the top of the pen the end of the clip lines up with the end of the sixth section. On the one you've pictured here there are only nine sections and the end of the clip lines up with the end of the fifth section. Also the fold on the end of the clip looks a little rough to me, circled in the image. Plenty of pics of the real thing on the net....just google. Edited to add image of gen pen
  3. I have a genuine 2893-2 movement which is running fine (+4s per day), but have noticed that the GMT hand seems to lag behind slightly when the minute hand passes twelve o'clock. So when the hour passes, the GMT hand doesn't line up with the correct 24hr marker untill around 20 minutes past. This is the first GMT I've bought so I'm not sure if this is normal?
  4. Curses! I never once thought to check how the online coverage compared to the television lol, oh well at least we don't have to put up with James Allen ever again It's going to be interesting what happens next year. From what I've read BMW appear to have the upper hand with KERS, but Williams and Honda have both invested big bucks in companies that specialise in the technology. So next year, teams that were near to the back and midfield might suddenly be right at the front end. I think the teams with the best aero departments will still be the favourites though; skinny wings with more mechanical grip from the slicks will be where the advantage lies, not in silly boost systems. I'm not even sure if I can see KERS actually materialising?
  5. Mike Hawthorn and Keke Rosberg only won once in their respective championship years. Besides, Hamilton crossed the line first in more races than Massa did this year
  6. ...like leaving a fuel nozzle attached to the car
  7. You might want to consider investing in one of these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Watch-Strap-Adjuster...%3A1|240%3A1318 Ebay is awash with them and you'll find it invaluable for sizing all the other reps you're bound to buy
  8. As far as AR is concerned the Tag Link really benefits from it but your options to get it done have narrowed somewhat recently, you may wish to familiarise yourself with this thread: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=80585&hl= The only other option is chieftang, check out his section for details.
  9. OK......First you need to unscrew the crown, this will put it in the hand winding position, pull the crown gently again to the first stop and it will be in the date adjustment position, pull it again to the second stop and you're at the time setting position. You cannot stop the sub dial at 9, that is the running seconds hand and it runs continuously when the watch is running, the other two sub dials at 6 and 12 are chronograph registers and only work when the stopwatch (large centre second hand) is running, the dial at 12 is the 30 minute register and the one at 6 is the 12 hour register. To operate the stopwatch you need to press the top button (2 0'clock) and to stop it you press this button again, the buttons are usually fairly stiff to operate and need a firm press to work. To return the large second hand to the 12 o'clock position you stop the chrono by pressing the top button and then press the bottom (4 o
  10. Here you go, check this thread http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...amp;hl=indy+500
  11. Did they fit without the need to bend them? Perhaps my old Aquaracer had misalligned lug holes, but the spring bars needed a slight bend in the middle for them to fit. Pics? :-)
  12. Me too! Great feeling to be able to completely strip a 2836-2 and rebuild to working condition>
  13. I bought this (moo-croc) strap and deployant from Ruby, watch came from PT. Is was a little while ago and I bought it on the same order as another watch so cant remember exactly what I paid but I think about $35.
  14. Great write up BT, if I'm honest, still as confused as ever over which route to take - EuroTimez or PT Supreme? One thing I did wonder though, is the PT WM9 avaiable as an LV?
  15. If you're referring to the watch pictured in the first post, it is a gen.
  16. AFAIK not!! It's stamped Titanium on the caseback but it's made from SS.
  17. Someone has the gen bracelet on TZ for
  18. Thanks for the pics Lani, the watch looks first rate! Are you going to be having this one serviced? Reason I ask is I'm interested in what complication they've used to merge the minutes/hour counter onto the running seconds and weather or not its long term reliability will be a concern. It does look great though, really liking the look of the Black Knight Orange.
  19. Yup, lost a very valuable MB pen (gen) a couple of years ago when I used the same service. Me and the buyer assumed the same thing happened. Thankfully it was insured, but it still gets me that some theiving bastard's got a
  20. Both sites are run by Silix, silixprime is their premium site dealing in better quality reps while watchsilix is for the cheaper end of the rep market.
