  1. Chomps - sorry to hear about the PO, but yes, the stripped threading has been a big issue. Get some gen parts and as the Zigmeister pointed out -$100 for the parts and install.
  2. LOL...yep - came from ebay. There's a seller in Australia who had recently listed several Omega dials, including some 2531s, 2254 and some additional white and red seamaster dials. Both 2531 gen dials were sold for about $35. $35 for a used gen dial ?!?! What a great deal.
  3. Many thanks....im actually digging the 2532 and it seems to be getting more wrist time than my 2531. Hmmm...maybe one of my frakens need to go ??!?!? To be continued........
  4. Battle of my Fraken Seamasters - 2531 vs 2532 Both Seamasters modded with gen dials and gen hands. The 2531 has Cheif's double A/R where as the 2532 has single-sided A/R along with a gen insert. BTW - notice the cases? Yep - the good ol' "closed factory" cases. The 2532 actually has a serial number on the lugs. Enjoy the pics:
  5. Ha ha ha...made a replica site out of King's site....ya - I wouldn't trust it for one second.
  6. I have never ever heard of that. I would contact Paypal ASAP to figure out what exactly is going on before he withdrawals the funds and not end up shipping out the bag.
  7. Ah, i see it now. Thanks for pointing it out to me.
  8. Not to play dumb - but i will . What is the missing tick at 10?
  9. You gotta mod this bad-boy. Start ordering those gen parts
  10. I havent been following along, but what happened to Lello?
  11. BTW - Can a 7753 movement fit the modded 7750 UPO Dial layout?
  12. HOLY F*@&$* SH%(# THIS IS AWESOME !!!! Now I can re-purchase the UPO Chrono. Please Francisco please offer this mod !!!!!
  13. If anyone is interested (or for any property in Chicago), let me know. My wife's a realtor for Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. There is no better place to enjoy summer than in Chicago
  14. John - welcome to the board. One thing we stresss to all our newbies is to SEARCH, SEARCH & SEARCH some more. You will find your answers and then some.
  15. Usually the clones go for about $200, where as lately, UPOs have been going for $250 in the sales section. Also - there have been a few that have already been modded - so, less work for ya
  16. Keep in mind - the UPO is 45.5mm where as other POs are 44.5mm or 45mm. Be sure to ask WatchEden the exact size of this watch. Also - he doesnt even list the lug width - which should be 22mm. Some 45 POs are 20mm - incorrect. Lastly - this is an Asian movement - NOT an Asian ETA Clone. Therefore, you would have to source that movement. You may as well just purchase either a Swiss UPO or a Cloned UPO and go from there.
  17. Make sure its a true ETA Clone and not an asian with a swiss case. If its an a true ETA Clone - then yes, it will accept gen parts.. I have a UPO with a cloned movement and threw on the gen hands. Im ready to throw on the gen dial too.
  18. Ha ha ha .....too funny
  19. From what I read, the gen hands will not fit the rep 7750 movement. If you're looking for hands, ask one of our dealers to source you some.
  20. "close but no cigar" The UPO is a great watch to wear unmodded and of course modded. Several members have modded the UPO to include the following OEM Parts: Gen Dial Gen Hands As for the crystal, some have either purchased a gen crystal or sent it off to Chief for his kick-ass A/R treatment. Then there's some who modded their UPOs with a gen tube , crown & HE valve Then there's a couple of who went out and bought a gen bezel to use the pearl Lastly - some went out and bought a gen rubber strap too Am I missing anything else ?!?!?!?
  21. FYI - I have an Asian PO dial that fits perfectly over my cloned 2824 movement.
  22. So an $80 asian POS went
  23. Do you mean Chronometer? Chronograph is a different dial and movement.
  24. Actually, if Im not mistaken - you're dial is for a quartz. Notice the gen dial doesnt have "chronometer". Grab a swiss quartz movement (anywhere between $26-$52) and some gen hands from ofrei ($60) and you're fraken is all set to go.
