Just curious for those of you who own PAV straps...original & MP...how soft are they. I remember reading somewhere that since they are waterproof straps, they are quite stiff. Just curious to know how they break in.
I'm beginning to think that I have no idea what this ar is like...it's one of those things I just need to see in person to fully appreciate. Pics are great but I just cannot wait to see it in person.
I would recommend getting a loupe and checking things out. Perhaps the spindle is squared or something and you need to get it on there just right. Wish I could be more help. Or you could just send it to get the lume & cannon pinion fix and get the small hand put back on then.

Actually I don't have the movement yet, I'm looking to buy it though. In fact, there is a small spindle there that's sticking up. Is cutting it with a pair of pliers an acceptable solution? Short of opening up the movement and removing it. But then I guess if it was removed, the watch might not function properly???
Pictured here is an Asian Unitas movement from a 113g that is suppose to have a seconds hand at 9. I want to put this in a 47mm case with a base dial so I will not be needing the seconds hand. How can I remove the seconds hand spindle without damaging the movement? Can it just be snipped without jarring anything inside the movement? Please help!
I'm a bit confused. Pictured here is an Asian Unitas movement from a 113g that is suppose to have a seconds hand at 9. I want to put this in a 47mm case with a base dial so I will not be needing the seconds hand. Looking at the movement, there does not seem to be any sort of pin coming up from the movement at 9 for the seconds hand to connect to. It's as if the seconds hand has an arm that goes down into the movement and connects to the gears. So therefore, there doesn't appear to be anything to cut off. Am I wrong? Am I just not seeing it? Someone please come to the rescue and straighten me out.
I've shipped countless watches through the USPS and I swear every person I talk to there tells me something different. Whether it's about insurance, delivery confirmation, shipping times. It's really a crap shoot. Though after reading this, anything I ship international will be Priority.
I've definitely got a 1/2 link for you and have yet to size a new UPO bracelet in my watch box so I can probably give you at least another 1/2 link, but maybe a full link.
Just go to your local office store and get several different paper clip sizes...find the right one and Macgyver it (sorry if you're not familiar)...you could go with a gen bracelet for just over $200 or search our dealers for a replacement.
First of all, those of us that have been here long enough know to take reviews of reps for what they are. If all of the reps we receive were as pristine (or flawed) as the reps reviewed! But that is not the case and we should know better. Do your due diligence and don't trust anyone else to do it for you.
We all must know and/or assume that the watch a dealer sends to one of our esteemed members for review, has been inspected meticulously by that dealer and is the cr
