Sorry to highjack your thread B but since I have some gen crystal experts here, I thought I'd ask. Are MBW/MBK the only rolex reps that will accept gen crystals? I've been here long enough to know the answer to this question but you never know these days.
I also agree that the gmt pictured in the group shot is better (imho) than the gmt pictured in the original post. The gmt in the original post looks to be a hybrid between the 6542 & 1675. It has the rail dial but big gmt hand...was planning on doing heavy mods anyhow.
I do neither...I have too much invested in the few reps I have to shower in them...and I've tried sleeping with them...but wake up in the middle of the night...just feeling stupid.
Ah man, I wish I could have been there. Looks like it was a good time. The best thing about these GTGs is that you get to test drive (for a few hours) the many many watches you've been thinking about but haven't pulled the trigger on. And from the looks of it, there were several watches there I've had my eye on for quite some time. Next time for sure.
Chief got my Pam crystal today for the AR run and discovered it's defective. Does anyone know where to source a crystal for 44mm Pams? It be great if I could get one before he sends the batch in but if not, that's fine...I still need one. Thanks in advance guys.
Judging by the 501B endlinks, the lug holes have to be there. No other way to get to the spring bars.
No idea if it's real or not, I would say yeah though...why not.
I can't believe Rolex is doing this. Hopefully it will only last a few years and thirty years later they'll become collectors pieces...if it sticks till the end of time, I'm definitely going to buckle down and buy a gen pre 2008 sub and wait thirty years till they become collectors pieces. Either way it's a win-win. I'm getting a collectors piece out of the deal
I love the Tudor, it's one of my favorite watches ever posted on this forum, love the hands. You don't mind telling me where you got that strap for your speedmaster? I like it and wouldn't mind getting something similar for my vintage GMT on the way from TTK.
Your better off sending it to The Zigmeister so you can get your repairs done right. Try opening up the case and having a look though. A 111 I had a while back stopped running, I opened the caseback and found a screw had come loose and was lodged in the movement, easy fix. Worth a shot. But if you care about the watch, send it to The Zigmeister.
I know Bertieng had an MBW 93150 bracelet with gen 580 endlinks sitting in the sales section for weeks, pretty good price too...don't know how it was missed. Don't know if he still has it or can source anymore.
