  1. OP is trolling . And he is really not very good at it. Onzenuub nailed it.
  2. I picked this up from over at RWI (thanks to Phil G) Worth a minute or so of your time. What a hoot!
  3. No more DC-3 I live in a remote area and the A/C I fly occasionally are DHC-2,DHC-3, and Beach-18 for fly in fishing and hunting camps. DC-3's were fun during crosswind landings. We better get back to the scammer which RWI is currently running to ground and making life miserable for.
  4. Yes no armament at all, and believe me when I say flying a DC-3 or H-748 in conflict zones is not a lot of fun.(exciting though!) Edit: Ezio, your diagram is priceless I may use it at some point in the future.(with your permission of course) Is it copyrighted?
  5. Apparently Legend, your the man in the know as far as 1:1 A+++ Asian haute cuisine goes. Any noobs take you up on your slic'em/dice'em offer yet?
  6. Klink was posting over at RWGbiz in December 2014 http://www.rwg.bz/board/index.php?showtopic=92100&view=findpost&p=1495939
  7. My condolences to you Legend, a situation like yours would have me upping my medication. People who expect you to go out of your way for them without themselves exhibiting any common courtesy in the process, is just plain wrong. That aside, It is unfortunate that people new to this game assume (wrongly due to lack of research) that there is a "best " out there of any brand of rep. The latest model is not necessarily the one with the least "flaws", or even if it is, the watch that arrives on your doorstep may have been assembled by a deranged orangutan. Knowing what "flaws" you are willing to put op with only comes with experience, a commodity unfortunately, that newbs are in short supply of.( and apparently courtesy as well) By the way, where do you get the best eats in Singapore?(stir fried newbs aside) It would be a bit of a commute though, from my current location. (Northern Canada)
  8. I hate to be an "I told you so" Wait a minute,no I don't. This is a far better forum than "Kermie" deserves to participate in. Plain and simple, you guys demonsrated too much class and restraint when dealing with him. I may be a bit rough around the edges, but he was rotten to the core and deserved being sumerily dealt with. I also believe the group IQ dropped while he was online, though perhaps member " sneed12's" participation on the forum mitigated the drop. I like the raffle idea!
  9. Here is a good contradictory quote(in regards to his apparent philosophy concerning reps) from his first post in "I am a watch collector" kingfrog said; "I decided I don't need to spend any more money on high dollar Gens and only on very specific Reps that are well under the radar and particularly unusual." This from a guy that says he will not wear a rep, except to try out for the gen. It sounds to me like he will be buying a few "unusual and under the radar" reps that he will wear as gens.( without the fear he obviously had about being called out with his "Rolex" rep) HE is a "fake" and it is not rep watches that make him this way.
  10. He is entertaining them over at watchuseek now. Under the name "SubVette" same name as he used at RWI. http://forums.watchuseek.com/f2/where-do-you-buy-your-watches-1423762-2.html#post11630570
  11. He is not gone, he is over on another thread giving advice on rep dealers. I wonder if his "Go To " guys read what he put in the shoutbox the other day, regarding C.C. payment.(if they did they might not be that happy to deal with him again) http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/174779-is-trusty-time-reliable/#entry1388041 @ kingfrog : (07 January 2015 - 07:33 PM) I Would Not Worry About Credit Card Security, If You Have An Issue They Will Come To Your Rescue And Freeze The Seller Account. Cc Are The Most Secure. I Sue Them Even With Paypal As A Second Layer Of Protection. @ oleh : (07 January 2015 - 11:54 AM) Tried Buying A Watch Off Torobravos, But The Creditcard Form Doesn't Look Secure. :\
  12. I wonder why,if you lack experience you want to do this in the first place. anyway You can stick a length of tape onto it and pull up, or if you have fine tweezers, get under the lip and pop it up. Good luck!
  13. Some Moonies and some Daytona have the st-19 hand wind chrono movement in them. It seems to be a pretty reliable movement with a few exceptions. Recently there have been "click" spring breakage problems associated with them.(including my moonie)
  14. You are an interesting fellow and can't seem to make your mind up as to whether you are going to be a "real" person and buy only gens, or join the rest of us and be "fake". Your statement: "I decided I don't need to spend any more money on high dollar Gens and only on very specific Reps that are well under the radar and particularly unusual." You are a piece of work. FFS
  15. kingfrog Why are you here? Actually, forget I asked. The reason is fairly obvious from your last post. You are a troll. This seems like a good solution, It seems to be the top choice by all the other rep forums to deal with you.( under your various alias )
  16. I think the service recommendations are for gens,or A7750 chrono's to try keep them from blowing up(a full service on A7750 is about$200+) If you have a watch that is running fine with a clone movement or A7750 non chrono I would leave it alone, as service will cost close to the same on a working, or non working rep, about $100+.(unless there are major parts issues)
  17. If the watch in question is running fine I would not have a service performed, wait until there is a problem.(erratic timekeeping, poor power reserve, etc.)
  18. Didn't see the prints and dirt till after.
  19. Not mine. http://www.rwg.bz/board/index.php?showtopic=91972
