  1. IFR= Instrument Flight Rules Flight with no exterior references due to, cloud, rain, snow, smoke, etc. Timed turn= a turn executed using a T/B indicator(turn and bank indicator) and a watch,to execute a 180 degree rate 1 turn in 1 minute to depart encountered low or no visibility conditions. http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=3&ved=0CDMQFjAC&url=http%3A%2F%2Fanswers.yahoo.com%2Fquestion%2F%3Fqid%3D20100622002954AACf5R2&ei=Zm4FU_G8N8fd2QXiyIHwBg&usg=AFQjCNFs4G8C7IDJe6EKBTQnpu7Lr7AKJQ&bvm=bv.61535280,d.b2I&cad=rja
  2. Flew for 30+ years military/commercial, wore uncluttered dial Seiko, and Citizens with sweep seconds and digi/analog dials. The watches with flight computers in the bezel are next to impossible to use without an autopilot. I believe it is still in the air regs (Canadian anyway) that a timepiece with sweep seconds must be available for use in the event of inadvertent flight into IFR conditions. ( timed turn) This is in the event of instrument failure and only having a functioning T/B indicator.
  3. I'm an old guy but still can appreciate the young lady with the rifle and watch. Don't know what the watch is but the rifle is an Anschutz Fortner Biathlon trainer in .22LR cal.( I guess a reference to the winter Olympics)
  4. You must like conversations that start with " fake Rolex bud" without even an "is it a " preceding it.
  5. I think in the description there should be a comma and the word "and" between seconds at six and functional regulator It should look more like this(it makes a difference) Asian 7750 automatic chronograph movement at 28800VPH with seconds at 6 , and a functional regulator. The regulator controls the watch timing and really has nothing to do with the "seconds at 6" issue. AFIK
  6. Welcome to the forum from a fellow Canuk!
  7. Never dealt with them, not one of this forums TD's(AFAIK) just make sure you are dealing with the original TS at this location: http://www.tswatchltd.com/ Best bet is to pick the watch you want and then email a dealer from this forums TD list an ask them if they can source it for you. Ordering off the web site is a bad idea as you won't know if it is available before you pay. Good luck and do some reading before you order! http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/85981-hey-noobor-not-so-noobread-this-now/ P.S. it's CNY and all shipping from China has stopped for a couple of weeks.
  8. I hope you are right as they normally don't return them. As for the old dial , you can get it redone at anytime, but it will only be Original once. Best of luck!
  9. Welcome to the forum! Here is an older post that may give you some idea of the difficulties in making an accurate Daytona rep. http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/99940-daytona-reps-and-choosing-the-right-one/?hl=7750+seconds+at+problem
  10. Welcome to the forum! I hate to say it but you will be very lucky if it is fast or slow by only 10 seconds when it arrives. Virtually every watch I have received has needed regulation to keep 10 seconds +- . You will have to wear the watch for a week or so to allow it to settle down, before you can figure out its accuracy. Once you do, there are threads in the forum that show how to adjust your watch. Good luck!
  11. Welcome to the forum, you might try an intro in the new members section before asking for advise, all dealers have a feedback section and it is a good place to get info on the dealer and his product . Have a look at this stuff first. http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/85981-hey-noobor-not-so-noobread-this-now/
  12. Welcome to the forum! The dark side will get you sooner or later(and since you have signed up you are all ready got!)
  13. Welcome to the forum! As far as bezels go, far less than 1% of the watch wearing public wear Rolex subs and of that 1% half are more than likely have no idea what the bezel is for cause they bought a Rolex cause they could. Maybe 25% of that 1% are as obsessed about what the bezel looks like as we are , and how many of them will see YOUR watch? And as stated many times before, if anyone recognizes the type of watch you are wearing they are most likely going to think it's fake just because of the brand ,not because they can pick out a flaw. Enjoy your new V6 purchase and if you get really obsessed, buy a gen insert and crystal to save your sanity. Good luck!
  14. Just stick to the TD's from this forum, if they can't get you what you want it can't be got. http://www.rwgforum.net/forum/230-watches-clothing-accessories/
  15. Yes I know,( I have a couple packs I got online) but it seems people just throw the"cape cod will get them out " into their sales posts weather or not they ever have used the stuff!
  16. Just by coincidence I started a similar thread over at the other RWG this morning http://www.rwg.bz/board/index.php?showtopic=68486 Got some interesting feedback!
  17. When I set up my initial PP account, the spending limit for me was $3600, It didn't matter that it was backed by a platinum card. When I reached this threshold I could no longer pay via PP until it was linked to a bank account. No photo ID was required, I just opened an account at my bank just for PP and put a couple of bucks in it. So far no more PP problems. (hopefully this keeps up!)
  18. Yes they are the TD's on this forum. A bit hard to use I'm afraid. If you have a watch in mind email one of the TD with a picture and they will get back to you with availability. Remember this is not Amazon. Good luck!
  19. Welcome to the forum! TD=Trusted Dealers, are found here: http://www.rwgforum.net/forum/230-watches-clothing-accessories/ No matter what replica you buy there are basic steps you should take to help it be water resistant 1)ensure crystal is seated 2)"O" rings for caseback and stem are greased 3)caseback is tight The best bet is to have your watch tested at a watch kiosk. Do lots of reading before you order, start here: http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/85981-hey-noobor-not-so-noobread-this-now/
  20. I like your choice better than mine.
