The shots are beautiful in any case and I envy you,for me the cold would be easier to take with the mountain view included!

Thanks for the info! Wow, only experienced -50's on Baffin island. I'll take what I've got as it has Zoomed up to -28c.

My bad, I flew for years and was constantly referring to visible points of reference and comparing to map info. A bit anal I know. What is the temp where you are ? Here where I am it was -40c at 07:00 CT. No mountains, just frozen trees, lakes, and swamps!( I'm north of Kenora Ont. Can.)
-
Sorry Nanuq Beautiful picture but I don't think 300 miles in straight line as curvature of the earth would not allow unless Mt. McKinley is 25 miles high. (or you have some kind of weird atmospheric lensing happening here.) HAPPY NEW YEAR any way! (30 miles definitely!)

Mike you must be into watching the oldies channel cause you can't be as old as me.(I saw these at the movies when they came out!) Flint was great!(that watch kickstarted his heart.)

As far as fictional spy's go I'll agree, but Dean Martin as "Matt Helm" is a close second.(those 50's and 60's secret agents loved their hootch)

Aero_Dave said "Anyhow, I already have a new sw200 from a Seiko Monster that I'm not using so that's what I'm going to try to use as the transplant / donor watch." Just a question. Whats a selita doing in a Seiko monster (not stock I'm sure!)

Unfortunately subdial spacing is off in the handwind version, and you have to freeze the subdial at 6(install a plexi crystal as well)They end up looking pretty good but they are not a 1:1 by any means. Here's mine

Help-Customs-possible seizure at halfway point?
flyr replied to yourlefttoe's topic in General Discussion
Guys , his package has been stopped in a totaly DIFFERENT COUNTRY . The watch is now in Malysia not Australia! I think it was addressed incorrectly or taken off the aircraft at the wrong airport. In either case I am at a loss as to what the OP should do.I wish him luck though! -
Cartel 1675 & 5512; how to convert to low beat movement?
flyr replied to gsiguy's topic in The Rolex Area
Low beat Swiss 2846, unfortunately they are usually old rebuilt and dirty. -
Trusted dealers are TRUSTED, Stay away from Daytonas with seconds anywhere but the 9 o'clock position. Welcome to the forum and Good Luck! http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/102027-graphite-lubrication-for-resuscitating-seconds-at-6-movements/#entry699770

To be on the safe side change dates before 8pm and after 4am so the auto date change mechanism is not engaged. I always set mine around 6am

PO fans, what do you all think of the moon watch ?
flyr replied to Jonny2400's topic in The Omega Area
I think you are more into "Bling" than "Class". The Speedy Pro is classy and understated (for a chrono) To each their own I guess! -
Welcome to the forum! Hopefully everything will go smooth for you.

I think I gave the OP a bad steer, Omega never made this. http://www.google.com/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=images&cd=&cad=rja&docid=5YDSwFOevY7YUM&tbnid=GAFcvXd8AoEwQM:&ved=0CAEQjxw&url=http%3A%2F%2Ftimefraud.com%2Fvietnam-conquers-ebay-with-counterfeits%2F&ei=U8SbUpfyJcPpoATYsYGwBQ&bvm=bv.57155469,d.cGU&psig=AFQjCNHKFWlWtnhxmEK_LcRYhRBcMa9Qaw&ust=1386026444424560 I guess that makes it a "FAKE" I apologize to the OP and hope he is not bidding thinking it is a real Omega!

There is this on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/OMEGA-Vintage-Vietnam-War-Era-US-USA-Military-Wrist-Watch-Manual-Wind-SWISS-/261339186140?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cd90783dc

Welcome to the forum! Unfortunately you have just asked just about the most reviled question you could have. "Who's got the best Sub" The best bet for you is to do a lot of reading before you order because the best sub for you will be the one you pick yourself. The ones you have referenced are good choices, all the TD's carry them. Pick your TD then the watch!(look at their reviews) Don't worry about what the movement looks like as all subs are closed case back. Asian ETA clone is your best bet in the under 300 range as no one knows if you will get a fully Swiss movement if you pay for one. READ,READ,READ! Good Luck!

Welcome to the forum! If you are seeing reps going for as much as you want to spend that are not modded or custom built , you are looking at a potential rip off. Here is trusty's site, - http://www.ttw888.com/ Wrong link! $248 ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Correct link as pointed out byJkay http://www.ttw888.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=22&zenid=62e092b9fac3857a88552676335afa49

Try teflon dry lube for bike chains. Soak bracelet overnight , work links back and forth up and down in a twisting motion. Let air dry then wipe down and wear. Works every time for me!

hello i need some help to selecting a good watch
flyr replied to bdaniel2's topic in General Discussion
Welcome to the forum! If it's a chrono (stopwatch) a 21 jewel movement will not operate like the gen , a7750 will. If it is a non chrono (3 hands) a 7750 will sweep smoother than 21 j unless it is the high beat 21j 21j are cheap and relatively simple to replace if they break. 7750 are more complex and costly to repair. Go to the reviews section and read up on the watches you are interested in. Here is some movement info http://www.rwgforum.net/forum/76-movement-qampa/ Good luck! -
More than likely this one, 45.5 UPO with sunnydale crystal.
