  1. Yes, but they are not insane...the dealers. Guys and girl, come on, if people buy them...why should it be cheaper ? For sure, at that price I'm not near the point I would want one... For that money one of our great modders could make any Rolex look like a gen
  2. Good idea It starts to grow on me...but still very sloooowly. Did you change the date wheels ? If not, what is your opinion ? Good / Bad ? Cheers Stephane
  3. Hi Guys, Lello said next week (should be between 1st and say 10 august). Cheers Stephane Note: Ingy DW only...others later in september.
  4. Yes, I know a guy who makes really nice desktops PM me if you want to know You should consider to offer your services, why not. And, as I always say: loosing a watch (stolen, seized, lost...) is both party matter. It's part of this game and hobby to share the risks, at least with members or "non cartel collectors". Thanks again, Stephane
  5. Congrats... I should get them in august
  6. You're never missing something aren't you
  7. Man, I have no such nice story, but I simply wanted to let you know I had a great time reading yours. Cheers Stephane
  8. Oh my god! Great looking watch D. May I ask why no vintaged dial ? Glowing is not that sexy for that watch, is it ? Cheers Stephane
  9. Dear All, You might remember Pug's fantastic thread on "How to replace day/date wheels on a IWC 3717?". If not, you'll find a link in this thread anyway. That IWC was (or is) mine. Why do I post about it again? Well because it is another nice experience with a respected member of this community. That's how things should always happen: share, share, share Pug and I, as many other members of course, have the same watch: the Iwc 3717 from PT. We do realise, like everybody else, that the day/date wheels are misaligned but, more important, not correct. The print quality is poor. So the idea is to get correct day/date wheels from somewhere. That is where Monsieur Euno helped me a while back and saved me hours of search by providing the parts numbers at Cousins in the UK. Thanks Monsieur Euno. Here is the information if you need the parts for your IWC 3717: Item: Valjoux 7750 Date Indicator 3 o'clock White Figures On Black Background Reference: VAL775025571WB3; Unit Price: £3.70; Unit VAT: £0.65; Quantity: 1 Item: Valjoux 7750 Day Indicator 3 o'clock White Figures On Black Background ENGLISH Reference: VAL775025611WB3; Unit Price: £3.00; Unit VAT: £0.53; Quantity: 1 So, while sending some PM back and forth with Pug he suddenly proposes to install them for me… Wow, cool experience. It's a deal and here we go. I send the parts and the watch to Pug. The translant Better than any description, you can discover Pug's first watch work "pinned" by following this link: Pug's post: tons of pictures, rather be on high speed! No way I could add anything interesting here Waiting, waiting, waiting… Now, once the work has been done, Pug sent the watch back to me of course. This is the painful part of the story, really hard time Usually a watch needs 2 working days from UK to Belgium. In this case it took around …3 weeks :cc_confused: Sit back and imagine how Pug and I felt What would we do if the watch doesn't arrive? As a matter of fact, there was a strike in UK's post services. I even imagined that a british postman discovered what was in the package and decided to steal it. Anyway, after sweating a bit (hmmm, a lot in fact ), all is fine and the baby crossed the channel New pictures Well there are a lot of pictures of this watch out here. I can't see any reason to post 50 more, but here are the fresh ones after Pug's work. Conclusion Pug: you rock. I would like to thank you but also point out that you have serious balls. Working on another guy's watch is quite risky unless you've done it hundreds of time (which is not the case I believe). Congratulations for that. But not only: congratulations for the work itself. As an example of your great work, there is not a piece of dust inside the watch. No scratches on the dial or hands. As I have had some of my other watches opened. I can say that I do not always receive them back without dust. And that s*cks for sure when you discover dust on the dial itself while shooting a picture . I know, you do not really want to become a watchmaker. But, if you decide to do so, I wouldn't mind sending some of my watches over again. Cheers and warm regards, Stephane Nice background isn't it? The actual watch while on Pug's work bench Some pictures of the modified watch Look at that incredible chrono second hand! The Asian Day-date wheel The Eta Day-date wheel

  13. Lucky Man They don't look so different from ours do they ? I wish my boss: 1. collect Genuine watches (he only have one ugly full gold "old man" watch, an Omega if I remember) 2. was living on the same continent as me (with his watches if he'd collect them) Cheers Stephane
  14. Well, last time I traveled it was these ones: Next time I have no idea but my top choices would currently be at least these ones: Cheers Stephane
  15. Yes. That was quite a long journey allthough from UK to the continent. Thanks dear Strikers from Her Majesty Royal Mail. Pug and I were seriously thinking that it was eventualy stolen No hobby like rep hobby...what an adrenaline maker ;-) For sure I enjoy it: it didn't leave my wrist since I got the pack. Guys, I will shot some pictures asap ! Cheers Stephane
  16. I'd prefer an UltimateSoCalledPerfectNewGenerationSwiss1:1SubmarinerNotFromSameMakerNewMakerOn e Cheers Stephane PS: how the hell can anyone find his way in all these descriptions...need a lot of patience and search indeed
  17. Man, please do forget about any grade AAA or Grade 1 or whatever reps. That is simply bullsh*t. Forget about spam mails. Forget about whatever Submariner (or any other watch model) that would cost you more than 350$. This community best "out of the box" Submariner costs 350$. Some very hard to rep watches might be expensiver though...but a Submariner for 1.000$ is just a joke. And, yes, read read read read read read read read read read read read read read read read read read read read ! That is what everybody here did before getting a little true knowledge about Submariners. Cheers Stephane
