Hi Pix, Congratulations. It's a great watch, you won't be disapointed. It might even become a daily beater as I discovered during these holidays. Enjoy, Cheers Stephane

Hmmm, sorry to break this romantic thread Hope you have a great party. If not, well let's have some great music/lyrics from Lucio Dalla.

Rolex and Omega Widescreen Wallpapers "Diving Buddies"
Stephane replied to NaviChief's topic in General Discussion
Well, if I follow my own experience, no way Omega can beat Subs. I started loving a 16610, then discovered 1680, then went to 1665, now looking at 5513/12... As Pug said, a piece of history. The other factor is price: Omega (PO or whatever) is way to affordable to become a dream to fullfil. Owning a 10K SeaDweller is a dream and yet can be achieved. Cheers Stephane -

Which Member's Taste in Watches do you Admire?
Stephane replied to Victoria's topic in General Discussion
I agree with you. I still can't see why I would get that one, today I mean. Right now, I read to many "bad/average" comments. I think we have to wait to see if hype transform to classical for the HBB. If it grows on me, why not. But there is no chance it does grow on me if it's only hype... Which is what it is since it's out there. I saw my first Hublot back in the early 80ies in San Marino, Italy. I fell in love with it but coudn't afford it. Now, 25 years later, I would not buy it, not even a cheap rep of that simple Hublot. I don't see it as being a "classic". Cheers Stephane -
Well I'm happy you mention this. I must be too old to understand the hype with these phones... Is it a phone or some kind of sofisticated d*ldo ? If not, what is it ? Please Pm me about that !!!

Thanks for these kind words. The SS Ingie is really one of my fav. When I go back, I'll try to shoot a pic like yours. I'm pretty sure it will not be easy though. Again, you are a true artist. I can't stop looking at these pics. Bye for now, Stephane

As Mao Tse Rwg said: Patience is a vertue! Did HE really said that or was it Confu-Rwg Anyway, TTK will reply to you, don't worry about that. And, yes it's worth the wait. I have been looking for one for 6 months. I am not disapointed at all: 1. It's an RWG legend 2. It's a unbeatable rep for the price (even better than the Ultimate @ 458$ in my opinion) 3. If you go to higher priced Subs like MBW or TW best, you will already have a correct dial and bracelet to throw in. By the way, I have a modded MBW 1610 with a Noob Dial and some nice mods waiting for me when I go back home. We'll see what members think about it. I hope that the artist will accept to sign his work this time though Cheers Stephane

Has anyone tried the water resistant of UPO?
Stephane replied to arminvanbuuren's topic in The Omega Area
Indeed. Even if advertised or certified WaterProof. I was about testing it in the sea today. But, with such a bad crown, I think I'll pass. Make sure your crown screws in perfectly (that is without any resistance) before you test it... Cheers Stephane -
They should ask us to design it for them

Wow, is it your picture or Bazz ? I love these pictures.

@ Ubi & Dluddy. Thanks for this comment. It's my nephew who pressed the button. I told him, a bit like a father would say (scream): "Everyting must be in the picture and everyone should understand it's a Rolex! Make sure it's perfect" He seems to like this hobby already We spend an hour or so talking about his Quartz Tissot and my Automatic Tissot before going to the rep hobby details... My god, my sister is going to kill me if her son starts to spend some $$$ in watches Life is cool @ Bazz: I'm missing my Ingies that stayed in Brussels. Your pictures are absolutely fantastic. Thanks for sharing. Cheers Stephane

Congrats FasTTap! Will you go (or do you already have) for the AP RO, VC Overseas and Ingie ? Cheers Stephane

Our beloved watches deserve holidays, don't you think so?
Stephane replied to Stephane's topic in The looney bin
Dear All, Today is saturday, 21st of july. It's Belgium national day. As we're not in Belgium but in Palma, Spain, well we do not really celebrate. The spanish didn't even think about organizing a private firework for us on the beach So, nothing exiting to tell you today as we stayed on the beach. Yes, one thing: the kids (9 and 11 years old) and my nephew (17) dreamed to go swim again in the sea, after dinner, around 10PM. Only kids can think it is very sexy and funny to get wet and sandy again after a great evening shower and a full day out there I must have lost my kid spirit I stayed on the terrace and shot sunset pictures of the UPO. I'm feeling guilty, but yes, sand s*cks after a while. So, today was UPO day and I must say that I liked it. I didn't even swap for the GreatWhite in the evening I must have taken to much sun. Anyway, here a palm tree shot in the morning and two others: sunset and sun gone No water one though. I'm afraid of ruining the watch if I simply throw it in the see and try to shoot a good wave picture. Maybe I'll try that tomorrow... Cheers & thanks for reading. Stephane -
Ben, Don't be afraid to throw it in the sea Cheers & wear it well Stephane

Hi Laz, Thanks for asking, vacation is fine. I am in no way an expert about mvt and waterproofing. I have had several times condesation into my reps when gently cleaning them with a toothbrush under a small filet of water from the tap. I opened the crown and case back and 24 hours later they were "dry". The watch it self (the mvt) never stopped though. They still keep fantastic time over several days by the way. So, it's more a mvt issue you have I think. Now, any watchmaker should be able to change the O rings, grease them and shut the case back with a correct tool. That shouldn't stop you from showering or swimming in a pool. But as many other members, I would stay away from water with reps unless they come back from a trustable watchmaker that says "go ahead"! Cheers Stephane
