  3. Well, that is fun, because Olivier and Simon will arrive in few minutes at my place...just joking. Ok, I think I'll go for Air-run. Another teaser: Michael Bubl

  5. Hi All, I'm in deep sh*t and do not want it to hit the fan I must know, before my sunday 11am (Paris time), how I should pronounce this guy's name. Aaron (singing Lili/U-Turn). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJRh0PlWB6g I would pronounce it like the first name Aron or Annabel or Eva with a french A. Not like in "I have A (E in french) great day". Thank you very much for your kind help. Cheers Stephane
  6. Thanks for saving my watch. I'm glad you have a spare screw now that it's not floating in this 7750! I guess that when you will have modified a 100 watches you will be in the position of opening a screw shop So, you are definitely right : quality control is a fairy tale It's a pity Cheers Stephane
  7. That is what I say every week: "I'll stop untill next month". This morning I state: "no more spendings before august". My god, 23 more days Pix ? We're both ill
  8. Dear All, A while ago I posted a thread related to my Tissot PRS 516 (see my signature). I also asked for tips on how to open the case to regulate it. Since then, because some member comments, I didn't open it. I was afraid to be unable to close it back. I did it this morning I opened the watch, managed to close it back and here is a genuine ETA 2836-2 with serial ! Isn't this movement a beauty ? Thanks for looking, Cheers Stephane
  9. I agree. The one on the bottom right of your picture is stuning too...and around 200$ delivered and no waterproof issues I think I will add it to my son's Seiko collection one day. Funny that I'm wearing this one this morning:
  10. AAAAAhhhhhrrrrrggggghhhhh My goodness Pug, what a stress reading this tutorial based on my watch ! I'm so happy you did it ! I do not think I would have ever tried myself Thank you so much! Cheers Stephane Here is the watch before Pug's work... Not obvious, but the day/date did not align correctly though.
  11. This week-end I will try to NOT wear a Rolex Let's start the week-end with this one:
  12. Hi NRG, Well, yes it's a different 6 in 610. Now, I remember having read here that there were so many different dials that it was hardly impossible to say which one should be consider as the reference Even the colour "red" has variations. Remember that when a watch is sent to RSC they also change the dials instead of restoring it! We'll see how this watch will look after being in the hands of one of our best modder Cheers and thanks for having pointed this though. Stephane
  13. Yes, I know, not very original, but as I have my best watches travelling, I only have one gem:
  14. Hi NRG, Which reference link are you taking about ? Anyway, the DW is something that must be changed... Cheers Stephane
  15. @ BK & Tribal Wow, that is a great lesson guys. Thank you very much. Ok, I see why the Noob is needed. Fortunately I have one coming from TTK but I would prefer to keep it as it is. It's a piece of legend. So, I'll source a separate dial and bracelet to put in/on my MBW 1610. Cheers Stephane
  16. I'm running dating services over the web and phone for a north american company. That is for the money. My second hobby, that makes me some money too, is radio presentator The second hobby money is paying the first hobby (reps) costs though. Cheers Stephane
  17. Hey CableGuy, Welcome to the fasinating world of mods... Good luck though as it's not an inexpensive hobby. I second Pug when he is saying get a vintage (SD GreatWhite from TTK is affordable). And BK is right too: Paul's SCP is ok, but, again TTK's 16610 MBW is a much better choice for mods. @BK and all 16610 experts: Why does everybody say the NoobMariner Dial and bracelet is so much better than the MBW one ? Could you post a pic with a Noob, a MBW and a Gen dial side by side ? It seem to me that the MBW dial is not bad at all ? Maybe I'm wrong and should get a Noob one to swap in my MBW Cheers Stephane
  18. Ask TTK he might find you one
  19. Hi all, I'm an happy customer of the www.authenticwatches.com one. I got 2 watches from them at good prices. One I paid (custom taxes, vat and shipping included) around 1.100
  20. Wishfull thinking Fred. You will get all of them. Then you will buy genuine parts (a crown let's say) Then you will try to look at genuine crystals... Then you will be F****D Sorry, but that is the reality of this hobby... . . . . . . Oh and WELCOME
  21. Well, Pho, this is an hilarious way for getting some birthday gifts and greetings Best wishes from Brussels, Europe . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . For the gift, could you wait a bit ? I recently bought a very expensive watch from a florida based member
  22. Outch. Then the one I have won't fit. No regrets though, it's not the best looking crown at all Cheers and good luck. Stephane
