  1. Wow that is blink ! It surely deserved to be posted. I remember some years ago in Turkey that a shop was selling full solid gold Daytonas ...Rep! Funny world Cheers Stephane
  2. CableGuy, I understand your frustration. The rep game isn't easy...but that is why we like it, no ? Can I suggest that you get an MBW and send it to one of our modders for gen parts and metal work ? This way, once and for all you will have a good Sub and can start to look at other models. Cheers Stephane
  3. Congrats again Pix. You surely can take splendid pictures. Amazing and great to see this one so close to me We should have a coffee somewhere on the border and both wear our PRS 516 Cheers Stephane
  4. Guys, I'm sorry to post these links again, but I am 100% sure these two guys in Belgium posted 1665 GW for around 5.000
  5. It does not at all look ridiculous Evil... Why do you say that ? And, by the way, the first pick angle is tremendous
  6. Right now, wearing this UPO, but I should put it back in the travel pouch as the crown doesn't screws down anymore. Did I read threads about this bloody crowns ? I need to fix that asap. But still a wonderful sensation when on the wrist Cheers Stephane
  7. what did I say before... That watch is growing on me badly ! Looks promising Tribal. One question though: is this an easy to find MBW ? Does it come from MBK ? Cheers Stephane
  8. Ok, well I do not care so much about "luxury cars", allthough I'm happy to drive an Alfa Romeo. But, if I ever had too much money it would definitely be a black DB9. Cheers Stephane
  9. Exactly ! Now I can see them full size Congrats
  10. Yes but would be less fun...
  11. This is the perfect example of the quality of the members here: only some experts could tell you! Ubi, help ! Most members couldn't answer...so imagine "average Rolex fans"
  12. Hmmm, it looks like building a vintage Rolex from scratch is much more expensiver than getting a gen on the second hand market. I will remain faithfull to this hobby rules: get a good rep in a not to bad case (Mbw/TWbest), buy some obvious genuine parts (crystal/crown), have one of our artists paint or vintage the dial... Man, getting a piece of carton "officialy certified original whatever Rolex number part it is" for hundreds of dollars is insane when you know that Rolex does throw this in their trash to replace them with modern parts... My opinion only of course. But I love the two ones I have so far: 1665 GW & 1680 Red, both with a lot of genuine parts and boths modded by artists. At the end of the day, today (26/07/2007) I really get more fun the way I learned to do things on this great forum. I may change my mind if I ever have the budget to get a fully genuine 1665 GW. But I will never be sure it's 100% genuine and original as Rolex Service Center might have changed the second hand for a brand new one or some RWG artist vintage the dial... As a conclusion to this comment: my GreatWhite is already very expensive and I love it because it looks great, feels great, has been modded by an artist. I could want to upgrade it and buy a genuine dial (500$ ?) and a genuine correct bracelet (700$) plus a genuine correct case back (might be even more than the bracelet)... With all these additional parts, plus a genuine mvt of course, where am I going to end ? 5.000$ at least. This is not the game we're in, is it ? Cheers Stephane
  13. Yesterday, AquaLand with the kids, time for the Black Monster. I got stoped 3 times by people wanting to know what time it is Must be seen from very far away Today, working a a bit so back to this one
  14. Congrats PPete. It's a beauty. Allthough I love Edge's 1680 Red, I must say yours is really "perfect". Cheers Stephane
  15. I maybe irritating, but you give 50$ ! Edited: How can you be sure my intentions are only good ... Maybe I want to make it a big business and buy shares
  16. Cool We were at 29, we are now at 31 ! Am I missunderstanding somthing here ? There are hundreds of members reading and posting... Like Ken said; do you want to wake up without RWG ? This is what is going to happen guys ...
  17. I hope so... When I donated it was working right away though. COME ON LET'S DONATE GUYS...
  18. Well there are tons of sites...but, to my opinion, the best one is this one. If you search for topics about these watches you will get far more information than what you'll gather from the web. We have incredible specialists like Freddy333, RepAustria, Tribal, Edge, ...and of course our main masters, Nanuq, By_tor, Ubi, Pug, ...or BKLM1234, L-Dizzle, ... Sorry guys, I cannot name you all. I could give you obvious links like http://www.vintagesubmariner.com/vintagesubs.html but it will not teach you as much as our members can... My only opinion though. Cheers Stephane

  20. Dear All, Yesterday, Monday july 23rd, we went to Marineland... Yes I know, it's not that cool to visit these places. I agree that animals should be in the nature. But, still, the kids can't resist, and we, parents, cannot resist either to make them happy. I guess that is why these places still exit. So
  21. Rolex ? Omega ? Both are splendid collection to build So, from sunny Palma, here are the wrist shots for the beginning of this week: My wife: On this one it is not obvious, but it's her B&M My nephew (we have some more horny shots...he is 17...so..., you know what I mean "E partita la mia mano") and me (Photo taken by my nephew, in a dark tunnel with a shark, but not a Great White, the shark of course) Cheers Stephane
