  1. I would go to metropilitan opera. And I'm hereby telling you that you DO NOT need a suit to go there. I was arguing with my dad about this topic, because he insited that I had to wear a suit (because "everyone else would be wearing one aswell"). Turns out there were more people in jeans than in a tux!

PS. if you can get to the Plunge @ Hotel Gansevoort Rooftop, take some wristshots :)

Elbow your way into the elevator and travel up to the hip and hellishly crowded Plunge, in the 15th-floor penthouse of the Hotel Gansevoort. You

  2. Just got a few new numbers.

According to an internal t-mobile report they only sold 70.000 iPhones (the old one) within the first 11weeks in germany. Thats the poorest numbers compared to all nations where the iPhone has been sold (and I think germany was the 2nd largest country where it was sold).

In Austria it was even worse, they only sold 8.000 iPhones in 6 months.

50Euros is 80$ per months. Does ANYONE think they would have sold iPhones at 80$/Month + 650$ for the 8GB Phone with only 50 Minutes included in the USA? And no in-calling and no free weekends? I dont think so. It's a rip off!

80$ for 50 Minutes is like an asian folex at replicacenter for 1000$

  3. I agree with thomasng :thumbsupsmileyanim:

I hadn't realised how much of a fanboy Pugwash is !

And Slay... doesn't he have an iPhone? I'm still waiting on the new Blackberry.... don't like the idea of non-removable battery and memory storage (as well as having to use iTunes). I guess I'll wait and see if it grows on me.

And finally, whatever happened with the trademark case?

Yes, I have an iPhone, and I love it very very much, but (and thats a big BUTT!) I paid 300Euros for it and I have my own contract (which is much much cheaper than t-mobile).

I dont like beeing forced into an expensive contract for 2 years. Especially not if I'm paying so much money for the phone!

Can I not have this phone and say that it wont be a success at 400Euros + at least 50Euros/month for the contract? Please keep in mind, 50Euros a month buys you 50 Minutes ONLY in germany. Its expensive and it was not a success. No wonder why.

Who pays 50Euros for 50 Minutes + Internet? I have an HSUPA flatrate (7.2mbit/s 3G) for 39Euros and for 10 Euros I get at least 100 Minutes. So I'm paying 50Euros for 100minutes and unlimited 3G (and not unlimited EDGE - which is like 0,3mbit/s -) AND I can use the data flatrate on my notebook aswell. AND I have unlimited IN-calling.

T-Mobile are a bunch of bloodsuckers (in germany). Period.

PS yes, i'm drunk, so mea culpa for typos etc.

  4. WRONG. :bangin:

    MG-42:

    Caliber: 7.92x57

    http://world.guns.ru/machine/mg33-e.htm

Not wrong, 7,92x57mm is the same as 8x57IS.

The 1905 pattern cartridge was the German service cartridge in both World Wars and is now known in Europe as the 7.92x57mm IS or the 8x57mm IS and in the USA as the 8 mm Mauser or 8x57mm JS (it was its widespread use in Mauser rifles that earned this cartridge its "Mauser" tag, though Mauser only chambered it in its rifles and did not develop the cartridge).

    Wrong again! ^_^

    G3's effective range [G3A3]: 500m

    M16A2's effective range: 550m

Now you are comparing what the book sais to real life experience? I can assure you, noone except a trained sharpshooter will hit a man-sized target on 550m distance with the regular M16/G3 sight.

Effective range is not only determined by the caliber, its also determined by the sight you use. And both weapons lack a proper sight for combat beyond 200m

If it were up to me I'd go with a G36 [standard], it's lightweight, extremely reliable, and has an effective range of 800m! It's also SEXY!

    :p

    god knows I love H&K! B)

Never ever does this weapon have an effective range of 800m! I was trained with that rifle and the effective range is 400m and not more (with the integrated scope). Of course, you might hit something at 800m (I once hit a moving man-sized target), but its very very unlikely.

When you#re in the infrantry, they ALWAYS teach you to never ever shoot at such a high distance. 200-300m is the best distance with strandard infantry assault rifles.

The Arctic Warfare Magnum has an effective range of about 800-900m and thats a sniper rifle! But no

  5. ??? A 5.56mm round is just as deadly as a 7.62mm round, it's not all about the bullet caliber it's how well you aim and where you manage to shoot your opponent. ;)

Take the U.S. Forces in Iraq for example, they're kicking ass with the M4/M16 over the AK's/G3/FAL the insurgents are using. B)

Have you ever shot 7.62mm? I can saw a leg off with our 7.62 machine gun! it was so feared among americans, they called it "hitler's bonesaw"

"So distinct and terrifying was the weapon, that the United States Army created training films to aid its soldiers in dealing with the psychological trauma of facing the weapon in battle."

Some rounds are more deadly than others, because some shoot right through the body and some break and the parts "swirl" around in your body and mess up all your internals.

  6. because it was NOT a success in germany. They even said it didnt even meet expectations in the United States (even though I think it was a success in america, but americans were used to cell phone plans that cost 50$ or more and phones that cost 300 or 400$ with a contract).

They also lowered the price tremendously after a few weeks.

That gives me another idea, in germany they started selling it at the lower price and they still sold 10.000 units only (1st day). In the US on the other hand, the price was 600$, yet they sold 300.000.

You cannot disprove ANY of my facts, you dont even try. Are you trying the "i'm not even trying to address the issue, I just go on to blobble and hope noone will notice"-chewbaka defense?

Whats next? You dig out a monkey and say "look at this silly monkey"?

  7. Let's revisit this thread, just so we can laugh at Slay.

On release, November 9th, 2007, T-Mobile in Germany sold 10,000 on the first day. Let's see what yesterday's sales figures give us. I love it when people are so outrageously wrong. It makes me giggle.

How about you mention that the iPhone sold MISERABLY in Germany, it sold so miserable that they had to lower the price tremendously. They started giving it away for ONE Euro (and that was the first gen iPhone!).

The old iPhone DID NOT meet ANY of the expectation in Germany AT ALL

Maybe YOU also mention, that germany has more than 1/4 of the population of the United States, and Apple sold close to 300.000 Units on the first day in the United States. 4x 10.000 is not 300.000, not even close my friend!

Maybe you also mention that after the 1st day, the hype was almost gone in germany?

Only a retard takes my metaphorical "only 1000 units" out of context like you just did... get the facts next time before you start a pissing contest.

How about we all start laughing AT YOU now? ;)B)

  8. HAHAHA Are you guys serious. The ANSWER is china all the way. China is the next great super power of the world. Why do you think Americans are so afraid of everything they see the chinese do. The chinese army has about 350 million people (thats more than the american population!!) and the america army only has a mere 1 million people. And the chinese economy will be the most strongest as well.

hey turkish man, maybe YOU should read about the spartands and maybe then you REALIZE that quality goes WAY over quantity.

but i'm following my own advice and i'm not even gonna start arguing with an extremist like you!

  9. I did this. You need to get it fixed. I used Palpatine, but I believe Finepics can do it as well.

If you fancy fixing it yourself, you need to be comfortabble removing the hands, the dial and a few bits of the movement. I took one look and decided to sent it off.

I gave it a "try" and [censored]ed up the whole watch B)

  10. GSG9 come whit some prof pleas, Bope have proven themself on a daily basis in the Favelas in Brazil and they have to act and go under fire against kids whit ak47's on a daily basis and hostage, kidnaping and more vonerubel situations EVERY DAY.

Special task force south africa is beyond any group this guys are hardcore they are trained like the special forces of south africa some of the most efficent fighting combat units in the world..what was the murder rate in south africa last year i think it was 16000 and in Brazil its also crazy like 150 cops killed until now this year..

Not to forget fighting under winter condition Russian special forces like the Speznatz woud win over any country in the world same whit the Norwigans that trains US special forces in winter combat..

A police force have to be proven in combat, biggest test of a police officer is when under fire and fighting for his and his fellow mens life.

In Norway all special unit police officer serves time in Eastern europe to see and be apart of armed combat.

Arguing on the internet is like running in the special olympics, even if you win, you're still retarded!
