newbie - needs some guidance on acronyms
billyfras replied to toosmokeduptosee's topic in General Discussion
That sucks? I msgd PT for a DSSD but couldnt use PP... Then I tried TB but he only took WU. So I went over to RWI and got one in a M2M that shipped from EU in no time. Mint condition! -
Before I got deeper into the watch world, I loved subs. But the more I got explored, the more I had to spread my love around. I still appreciate a nice Sub or Daytona, but they have fallen down the pecking order for me.

Wow Mart, We started this around the same time and I have 4 reps. You have over 20. Lol. I don't think I'll ever own that many at once. Nice collection though!

Starting Equipment to Learn how to Service ETA?
billyfras replied to Big Dazza's topic in Watch Repair & Upgrade
I was about to post this same topic but Big Dazza was a couple days ahead of me. And thanks to ceejay for all that useful information! Now I clearly have a picture of where I need to start. -
New Tag Chrono - We need to get a rep of this thing.

NIce watch... I still prefer a day/date. -
What a hideous thing. Makes me wonder how these watchmakers decide on a pricepoint to come in at.

Well I've learned my bit for the day too!

Wrist shot request AP diver vs Rolex Submariner
billyfras replied to danielv2000's topic in General Discussion
Im really looking to get a Diver, but Ive never tried one on. I am starting to think my 7 inch wrist might be a little small. Strange how it doesn't seem that large looking at it in the display case. -
Held by Customs or How to ship a package overseas to USA !
billyfras replied to panerai153's topic in General Discussion
Great news! I hate these customs horror stories. But I'm glad you got your watch... Now are you ready to off load it yet? Lol -
Toro and this hobby is not good for my economy
billyfras replied to dannesyd's topic in General Discussion
Good to know. Especially since I'm seriously considering Toro for my next purchase. -
Ive always wondered why AP doesn't display the movement. I have a thing for admiring the movement as well. Plus the v5 movement is a beauty. If you do get this done or even try to, please share your experience.

We need to set up an escrow system for member transactions. Members who really want to be protected against seller fraud would pay money to the escrow account instead of directly to the seller. The payment would only be sent to the seller once the watch has been received and in satisfactory condition. For this privilege, the buyer would pay either, 1. A flat fee or 2. A percentage of the transaction cost. This would also be a great way for RWGForum to make some money while helping to protect it's members. It would definitely take a lot of planning and hammering out of details, but I think it's worth a thought.

MD2020 Who is dealing with him, I'm worried now!
billyfras replied to sgtguk's topic in General Discussion
This thread would be perfectly fine without the unnecessary input. Some of these guys who insist on defending Mike and speaking negatively about those trying to get watches back probably have more posts in here than Mike himself does. I just cannot fathom why this thread would concern anyone but those who want to get their watches back. -

billyfras replied to sgtguk's topic in General Discussion
@Tony, go easy. Just focus on what we're trying to achieve here. Some damn communication. Screen everything else out. It's frustrating enough without the unnecessary bull$#!+ I hear that Mike is having email issues. I'm sure that making a post in this topic to update us shouldn't be too hard. Everytime I come online I see that he's been active anyway. Mike... Dont you want this crap over and done with?? I sure as hell do. -

Mike, get at me regarding my Montblanc ASAP. -
Would those possible causes be the same on a jumpy 7753 instead of a 7750?

Had this problem on my Montblanc Timewalker Chrono and sent it off for servicing hoping that would take care of it. The report I got back from the watchmaker is that the choppiness only got slightly better after servicing. I know he tried changing out the center wheel/center chrono gear and he said he got some better results from doing that... Unfortunately in doing so, something else broke and I haven't seen my watch since. If I do see it again I'll tell u if the improvement was significant.

Mike. Thanks to u I'm now facing some real inconveniences In regards to actually receiving the watch. You were made aware of my situation and said it would be no problem getting it off so I could avoid these inconveniences. It's been waaaay too long for more crap now Mike. All you're doing is gluing a hand in place and sending it back! Come the [censored] on, man! -
