  1. I'm wearing this rare beauty I received today, its screaming for a prof crystal so will be sorting that out soon. The dial is gorgeous. DSC07657.JPG by Micky Aldridge, on Flickr
  2. Promising news A, this has been years in the making!
  3. Its either a 2824-2, or 2836-2 ETA clone.
  4. Thi sis why I stick to emails, so much easier to track, especially if customers follow my instructions, supplying their tracking number in text form, and not a photo of the tracking label, this helps track down a package via email search. It don't help if someone sends you a watch without communicating to you about it though.
  5. The last photo of the bracelet shows some serious wear, and needs repairing asap otherwise the watch will fall off your wrist and damage it.
  6. Domi has been a watchmaker for as long as I can remember, and is highly rated, so you are lucky to have him available on tap
  7. My hobby turned into a business, and its never ending when it comes to tools, and equipment, there's always that one tool you need lol
  8. Same reason I don't own a dj. 8" wrist they look tiny.
  9. Cool, mines on bracelet, I am a known bracelet kind of guy Oh, and G, orange paint hans landed, and just about to buy the deep red for the other hands Omega Signal Red by Micky Aldridge, on Flickr
  10. I regret having to sell my baby, my Carrera franken, it has so much personal attachment to it, but when things got rough, it had to go, and at a great loss too, but needs much and all that. I am now thinking of building another to replace it In the meantime I have picked up a couple of m2m deals, one of which is this beauty which I plan on fitting a prof crystal in it, the dial looks amazing, really looking forward to receiving it, its in Helsinki right now...
  11. Do you have link to the dealer website where you got this rep? There maybe some info on the fitted movement on there.
  12. Ideally the movement will need to be removed from the case, this will give you a much better viewpoint of the balance area, its here I suspect the screw to be hiding out.
  13. Just uploading a photo for you, you have a loose, rogue movement clamp, and s crew in the movement. Here you go.. loose movement tab & Screw by Micky Aldridge, on FlickrYou You need to locate the missing screw, and refit the movement tab with it.
  14. Do you know what movement is in there? Does it have the faux dress plate/s? Sometimes the faux screws on these dress plates can come unstuck, and can cause the balance to stop by getting wedged in the pallet area.
  15. Do you know what calibre the movement is? Quartz movements are usually pretty cheap, so if that movement is terminal, it would be cost effective to simple replace the movement for a new one.
  16. Whilst it maybe possible, you do need to know that you may face some problems if there's no references anywhere of it being done before to go by, here are some of the issues you will face. Stem height may well be incorrect Hands won't fit, so you would need to source a correct style handset with the correct sized tubes for the Seiko movement pinions. Movement holder Securing dial to the movement, but more importantly, date wheel, and the possibility of attaching a date wheel overlay to the date wheel on the Seiko movement. In all honesty, it could be a lot of work for nothing, but it all depends on how far you are willing to go in making it happen.
