  1. As Matt advises, using a correct, specific movement holder for the movement will help as it has a support for the seconds wheel.. DSC05591.JPG by Micky Aldridge, on Flickr
  2. Also same as yesterdays DSC05428.JPG by Micky Aldridge, on Flickr
  3. Old thread resurrection, the latest fake ETA movements have burnt laser type stamping. Clone ETA's being advertised as Swiss

  5. Great gesture Matt mate, just hope your replacement will fit the tube of the OP's watch.
  6. I have an order for a batch of TC's V4 DWO, if they turn up like that I won't be happy. Never seen a TC DWO with bold font.
  7. Looks like they finally sorted out the date misalignment too.
  8. Yup, Blake will sort you out
  9. Phone number on site listed as 123456789, avoid, sounds like the old DW.
  10. Nothing too flash, I do plan on getting a Merc CLS 550 at some point, started saving already.
  11. If its in an Explorer with GMT than you have a 2836-2 ETA clone in there based on the photos.
  12. Like Legend states, underside AR coating is best for beaters.
  13. Replied to your PM Nas, I will reply to all work emails on Wednesday when I am back up and running.
  14. Scotch watch has them as mentioned above, this is where I get most of my IWC parts.. http://www.scotchwatch.com/index.html
  15. The newer A7750 with the extra jewels are a little more reliable than the earlier versions as theirs less friction now in the sec@6 gear train.
  16. Hands are fine, its as you say, a reflection. Is this the 23J fixed hand movement, or 29J A7750 movement with full chronograph?
  17. Yup, you will need to replace the bridge plate, and transfer the gears across. Alternatively, replace the complete bridge with another with gears if you don't think you would manage to transfer the gears yourself. I have a special broken screw extractor which would get that screw on in no time, its something I use often, but irrelevant to a non-watch repairer.
  18. I would contact your TD in this instance.
  19. Is that a hair in the first photo>? Look over the movement to see if you can locate where that washer ring has came from.
  20. Check that there's not a screw come loose?
  21. Looks gen, if there is a rep like that then Im getting one lol Is this you? https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1051285504951627&set=gm.1739178186351885&type=3&theater
  22. Thanks mate, I wouldn't mind that set too, but sadly when I click on the link to add to cart they are expired too, showing a 404 error
