  1. I hear that David has a record of arrest, which proof has been posted next door, everyone who sent him and Irishcain watches, have lost their property.
  2. Aha, not yet G I'm afraid. Whilst the wife had me wiring new light fittings today, I thought I would put an old idea I had years ago to some good use, I had an old strip light, and always planned on fitting it to the underside of my work bench as a floor light, never got round to it until now. Untitled by Micky Aldridge, on Flickr Ideal for when parts go ping! Also planning on making a confined area under there to remove crystal AR coatings.
  3. I am now in our temporary apartment, and almost completed setting up my workspace, just need a few days, and I will be back up and running, and continuing work. This apartment, whilst smaller than our own place, it was a bit of a mission to shoehorn everything in here, but we made it Just have a couple of shelves to put up, and then pretty much ready. Having said that, I need to put up all our lighting, and asset able furniture etc. Oh boy! Untitled by Micky Aldridge, on Flickr Oh and then there's the postal strike, which is still ongoing here, and with over 30 incoming packages, and over 20 waiting to be shipped, its quite an inconvenience right now.
  4. No mate, referring to the arrowed lock. I know the hour counter brake is plastic, but the lock highlighted in the photo I have see many ETA 7750 movements have a plastic part. 7750 by Micky Aldridge, on Flickr
  5. Awesome as usual,, his quality, and own coating formula is the reason I now only fit his crystals to my customers watches, in fact we have a partnership now Crystal AR Service Partnership with ProfSteve
  6. Any better photos of the balance area? On most of the ETA 7750, the 55,281 Lock is usually plastic, looks metal on that movement. 55,281 Lock ETA 7750 by Micky Aldridge, on Flickr
  7. Great job Yes, the movements in these are pretty good, however I am seeing more and more being booked in with either loose movements, or noisy rotors. The noise seems to be resonating from the rotor through the actual movement and the way its clamps down. The sound of the rotor can be dampened using some clamp pads.
  8. What TSG are doing end of this year is going to effect Independent Watchmakers, and Service Providers greatly with parts supplies stopping completely in most cases. I feel the recent reports, and blog posts encouraging a boycott against buying Swiss watches from TSG will be felt, and hope the reconsider their actions.
  9. These have been out of stock for quite sometime now, and no factory plans on making them again which I feel is odd. Toro has posted that he has some back stock of the 42mm SuperOcean models, but the ones he has are those with the coloured inner bezel/chapter ring.
  10. They are an interesting construction thats for sure, I was surprised the first time I had one in for refurbishment, and refinishing. The movement is secured to a inner thick, weighted ring/spacer. The mid-case tube secured to it, you can get the central weight out without removing the crown tube, but I prefer to simply remove the tube anyways seeing as I need it out the way for re-brushing the case. Some of these new AP's sec@12 models are interesting too with the way they are constructed, similar to a jigsaw puzzle lol
  11. It won't take a TC bezel, I know that much.

  13. Difficult to ascertain without knowing more about the case origin, but looking at the construction of the case, and there areas for the click spring/stud, I think its safe to say, the bezel will be retained with a click wire.
  14. Probably related to high humidity there G.
  15. Ok, just noticed you are Stateside, I'm in EU, so can't help I'm afraid, I checked my stock, and only have the Carrera crowns in stock, sorry bud.
  16. Do you have a photo of the outside of your crown? Is it the black faced type, or the plain stainless steel face with the TAG logo on?
  17. An easy fix? With replica's? lol Looks like you will need someone to extract the broken stem from the movement, and find a new stem and crown by the looks of things. I may have a crown in stock, let me check. I will get back to you soon after tea.
  18. Agree, the date font is too bold, so trying to find an alternative.
  19. I have a JF AP Diver, and a 15400, both are of very high quality, and the movement in the 15400 is actually quite reliable too.
  20. Talking of Islam, this video educates everyone on the history of Islam, and tells us the truth whereas the media does now, and only brainwashes us. Why We Are Afraid, A 1400 Year Secret, by Dr Bill Warner And this is a video everyone in EU should see to the end.. Still Report #453 - Islamic Immigrant Invasion of 2015
