No worries mate, and yes, much less unforgiving than an Asian 7750. I mostly work on ETA 7750 movements these days due to the nature of Asian parts in the A7750 movements.
Displex is designed for Mobile, and tablet screens, however, many use it on plexi crystals. I purchased some to experiment with, but am happy with the Polywatch, and cotton wool method.
Sorry to hear this AJ mate, it sucks when someone takes advantage of your good intentions, sucks big time, and I know how you feel, I have a few watches here that customers haven't paid for the work they requested, keep on delaying things, and eventually going awol. Crazy. Lets hope this guy comes clean within that six hour period.
I mean I could be wrong, but that style of box is what I had a long time ago, it was an early replica Rolex box. Check under the cushion, and cloths, if there's no varnished wood under there, its a rep box.
Hate to break it to you, but you would of been better off buying a box from a TD, as that one looks like a replica box, and at £100, you may well of been had.
I have encountered a few of these reps straight from the factory doing this unfortunately, and I have discovered that even some new crowns, their clutches are not working as they should.
This does seem out of character of the op, I have actually dealt with themannier several times now, mainly buying or selling watch parts, and he has never let me down. Just thought I'd mention this.
