  1. Speechless... I guess that's what they call "passion"... Sent from my wooden drums via Tupperware
  2. Isn't that funny? So much work and effort in making a gen like case and bracelet but way less when it comes to dial and hands... Sent from my wooden drums via Tupperware
  3. So you actually have four of them? Wow... Sent from my wooden drums via Tupperware
  4. Actually it was your idea Really like your watches and thanks for the gen twins ; ) Sent from my wooden drums via Tupperware
  5. Gentleman...be invited to show off your lovely pieces (No...I only mean watches!!! ) Pictures of today...specs can be found here http://rwg.cc/topic/184264-just-back-from-domifranken-smp-chrono-259980
  6. A few weeks ago I "accidentally" got a nice light franken SMP Chrono with black dial... Why accidentally you may ask?...because initally AJ bought this chrono and some other guys and me were joking around that it is too small for his wrist and that it would look way better on ours Well...short time later he offered the chrono to me...I couldn't say no, could I? I always wanted to have my blue SMP Chrono back I sold two years ago to a nice member here. He already superfrankened it and wouldn't sell it back to me... So now I had a black SMP Chrono in my hands...but wait...wasn't in my hands...I just agreed in a trade with AJ and the chrono was on its way to me Only hours after our agreement I bought two gen blue dials, two gen blue inlays and one gen bezel All that stuff arrived almost in time with the watch but then I realized that the dials don't have their blue rehaut I tried to source a rehaut but with no chance...I mean...I even wasn't able to find valid information via google...it seemed that no one ever wrote something about the rehaut of the SMP Chrono... But as the lucky guy that I am I got a great offer for a nice gen blue dial with rehaut from our great member Kernow Tuesday this week I went with all my watches to Domi and yesterday he was ready with the last two...one of them was my SMP Chrono Specs are now: Gen blue dial with gen blue rehaut (hooray ) Gen hands Gen swiss 7750 Gen bezel Gen blue inlay Gen crown and tubus Gen HE valve Gen crystal The dial was relumed and since the gen hands were already with blue lume I let Domi use blue lume for the dial too...I like it way more even though it's not peroid correct...who cares...the dial is obviously relumed anyway Plus...I thought it would look better to have the date wheel in black...in my eyes the face now looks more balanced. The white date is always very present... Now on to the pics...
  7. Franken IWC Ingenieur Chronograph 3725-01/04 Hybrid Today I'm going to present you a rare bird...my franken IWC Ingenieur 3725-01/04 Hybrid Chronograph. The 3725 chrono seems to be not that popular at the rep fora...at least there is no introduction and not that much else to find around here and the other rep fora. So here are a little infos about the gen... Ingenieur Chronograph Ref. IW3725 Features Mechanical chronograph movement small second with stop device Movement Calibre: 79350 Vibrations: 28,800/h Jewels: 31 Power reserve: 44h Winding: automatic Case Material: stainless steel Inner case: soft iron for protection against magnetic fields Glass: sapphire, antireflective, resistant against pressure drop Crown: screwed Water-resistant: 12 bar (120 m) Diameter: 42.5 mm Height: 13.5 mm Weight Watch and bracelet in stainless steel 205 g A very informative article about the Ingenieur can be found here at purists.com http://www.p178host.com/iwcgallery/ingenieur2005/_inge2005.html Now back to my watch Only a few weeks ago I was able to buy this as a Noob version over at the other rwg. The moment I saw her for sale I fell in love with her and had to get her. The bracelet was too short for me but I didn't care...if it wasn't possible to find a new bracelet or at least one or two links I still could buy a nice strap. While on the hunt for a link or a bracelet I stumbled over a gen 3725-04 dial in great condition...why not franken it I asked myself and within a heartbeat the dial was mine I already had a gen swiss 7750 to put into and the day the dial arrived I went to Domi to let him build my franken. And...lucky me...he had a gen link which perfectly fit to the noob bracelet That was Tuesday this week...yesterday he was done with my watches and so I picked her up. Once on the wrist he told me that he had a present for me but it's already on the watch... He had some older gen hands lying around that were initially for the 3725-04 Chrono but since I already had a 3725-04 dial on it he decided to put in on my watch The gen swiss 7750 is modified with Domis famous sec@6 mod and is as reliable as the gen 79350 now (which is in fact a modified 7750 ) Specs of my IWC Ingenieur Chrono: Gen 3725-04 dial Gen 3725-04 hands Gen swiss 7750 with Domis sec@6mod Noob case, crystal, cb and bracelet (except one gen link) Now on to the pics...
  8. Not hate here...I just have pity on them. Most of them don't know their sh!t...they just bought an expensive watch and just feel like they're the big spender now. Those on the gen fora that really know what they have won't act like this...most of them are here anyways
  9. Quick pic...just back from Domi Sent from my wooden drums via Tupperware
  10. Wooohoo...that blue looks very blue...actually I wanted to stop buying watches...well...have to rethink it I guess
  11. ...and just for your information...when it comes to dials scotchwatch is asking for your gen used dial. If you don't have one they don't even get back to you...very ignorant I'd say!
  12. That's a gen, isn't it? Mine is getting the AMG dial which isn't correct for the steel version but I don't care...I like it way better The swiss movement is getting Domis famous sec@6 mod so it ain’t a timebomb anymore. At the end it's going to be a pretty expensive rep but my favourite watch over all

  15. That's the point...to be honest...I don't know how it's possible but there are many around in the rep world that are even able to call out a franken. These are the specialists to be afraid of if one fears to get called out on his rep...but then...those guys won't do it In the end...all good...wear your rep with pride...most don't give a sh!t, some don't have a clue and a few would maybe start a nice conversation
  16. Voted for the Breitling since I own one and it's one of my keepers.
  17. ...and there are still some folks feared to get called out on their rep These clowns know more about watches than let's say 90% of gen watch owners but still not enough to call out a rep at first glance. Very interesting...many thanks Martijn
  18. Domi already offered me a gen link and with a little luck I have a nice frankened IWC Ingenieur Chrono by the end of the week I'll show pics as soon as it's ready
  19. Hey mate :),

I just found out that you once had (and maybe still have) an IWC Ingenieur and that the bracelet was too long for you.

I just bought an Ingenieur with a bracelet too short for me...if you still have some links lying around and would sell them to me, that'll be great :)

Unfortunately you cannot receive PMs so I try my luck here...

    Cheers

    Thorsten

  20. Even if it's tough...I have to try I bought the watch, the gen dial and I have a gen 7750 lying around to put into plus...I always wanted to have an Ingenieur Chrono Some idea about the measurements of these straps maybe?? http://puretime01.com/accessories/watch-straps/iwc/iwc-kevlar-strap.html#
  21. Anyone, anyone, Buler, Buler... Sent from my wooden drums via Tupperware
  22. There was/still is a big clearance sale over at the other RWG and next to many many other very nice watches the seller had a used but still nice Noob Ingenieur Chrono. I always lusted after such an IWC so I had to buy it. Unfortunately the seller has a smaller wrist than I and so the bracelet is only for wrist up to 19cm. Does anyone of you know where to get a new bracelet or links or one of these nice straps that came with the AMG Chronos? Plus...does this dial fit into the watch?
  23. I knew the yellow Tubby was you S...just wasn't quite sure...thanks to A for confirmation
  24. A more than big "THANK YOU" goes to Kernow. The dial arrived and not even that it has the rehaut attached it's in great condition too!!
