Pretty much, but they have standards on CQout, three negative feedbacks, and a seller is automatically and irrevocably banned. There's also an in house escrow system, so if something does go wrong, your funds go back in your account I know what you mean, and absolutley, no sense in throwing money at something which might come to a sticky end, although it should meet your needs The seller does have Exp IIs (not sure about the more modern variant without checking) but the GMT will at least give you a GMT function PS I wouldn't necessarily say this is 'the best' ootb, but I think it's probably the best solution to your needs

Okay, you want something which you're not going to worry about if it gets lost/stolen/trashed? That means you need something which is essentially disposeable, and Cartel costs are not disposeable... I suppose the Exp II's movement has an adjustable GMT hand to provide GMT function, but, that's still a complication, compared to the GMT rotating bezel. Therefore, I'd like to propose this as a disposeable solution to your requirements

I think the 16800/168000s really do have a magic which transcends the 16610 I know where my conversion project went wrong, so can modify my plan, but it was seeing this thread which reminded me of that magic

Oh man, what a thread :tu: After my recent abomination of a 16800 project, I'd mentally written off re-attempting it, thinking, "Why do I need a 16800 when I have a 79190 which fulfils the same criteria...?" Then I saw this thread, and remembered just what an awesome piece the 16800 is, and that's why I need one as well as the 79190

All I can say, is weigh up the pros and cons... Why do you want to sell it? Is it because you want something new for the sake of something new, or because you want something different? Might fitting a new strap 'make it new enough' for it to retain your interest? At the end of the day, it's your call... Best of luck with the sale if you do decide to flip it

I know the GMT Master was designed to allieviate jet lag, but when I went to Tokyo for my honeymoon and to attend my best friend's wedding (same occasion) I was wearing a GMT II and still suffered terribly from jet lag Maybe it's just me, but I was constantly aware of what the time was at home, and never adjusted to the Japanese timezone at all However, I do have a custom GMT build planned. My intent is for it to be a vacation watch, but I strongly suspect it will become a daily beater instead From my own experience, I would suggest that the GMT function is great for if you need to track someone else's different timezone, say a family member who's travelling, or an overseas business contact, but as above, for actual travel, I found it to be more of a hinderance than a help (Of course, YMMV...) Reasons for buying a GMT though... They look cool. They have way more color variety within the models than Submariners, and at the end of the day, they do have all the appeal of the Submariner, just with an added extra Even if you never use the GMT function, they still look badass PS The triangular marker on the GMT can still be rotated to act as a timer, just like a Submariner, so it can still retain that function

I know, but even so

I love the aesthetics of the GMTIIC (I read it identified once as a GMTII LN [Lunette Noir]) but it's not quite right for me, and has a few details I'm not 100% sold on, but I do like it
-
See, this is the thing, friend or not, it's just damn rude, and at the end of the day, I'd rather let someone think I was wearing a fake (because I couldn't give a shit what anyone else thinks about what I wear) than allow someone to expect me to justify myself that much to them

Where can I find a military insert for a saphire sub?
TeeJay replied to mastersdom's topic in The Rolex Area
Anything available on eBay? I'm a big believer in different strokes for different folks, but that style of bracelet is certainly for different folks -

I like the watch head, but that bracelet is just... Well, just -

Will the 5517 insert not fit? (or be persuaded to fit?) -
I just googled it, and from an engineering point of view, it's a very interesting piece of kit

If someone spoke to me like that, I'd outright tell them to go fuck themselves. They might know their shit, but at the end of the day, it's none of their damned business, and to behave like that is just outright rude and overstepping the mark

I don't understand how it works...

I've seen them on CQout too

Yup, that's how it is here in the 51st state

Rolex GMT Master History and Reference Pictoral (Part 1)
TeeJay replied to eVojlib's topic in The Rolex Area
What a write up, thankyou for taking the time to put it all together That's also the first time I've seen a 6542 bakelite insert lume shot, and what an effect it has -
Fantastic craftsmanship

Old School Classic By choice ( ) I'd go for a 9mm Walther P99. Not because of the Bond association, but because the grip is just so damn comfortable

As mentioned above, many of the US states are as large/populated as non CONUS smaller countries, so while the rate when simply looked at in a list of names of countries looks larger, when taken in context, they are really not so high, and have indeed dropped, which is a good thing In a country where guns are as freely and legally available (From what I understand, I could go into a gun store tomorrow, buy a pistol, and collect it by friday) it is common sense that there are going to be more firearms in circulation, and given the melting pot America is, it's no surprize if tensions which would once have been resolved with a fist fight, wind up with some douchebag/gangbanger pulling a gun to 'blast on some fool'. I'm not saying it's right, but it is a logical escalation in terms of violence, and the figures, when broken down per state, are not so disproportionate as they may seem at face value...

Sadly, in the last 12 months, the tone of the blog has seriously changed, and I would no longer recommend it as a legitimate information resource on the subject, rather, an outlet for a rather narrowly-focussed fetishist On topic though, I still can't recommend a more comfortable, economical and functional garment
