Looks good to me - indeed very good. More pictures please. Insert a little bit white. I´m curious - if somebody can tell, please, how much is the total setback for watch+platinum mod+shipping+Tritec relume+shipping again? Thanks:)

Hi, the new Noob V3 has been released too, so I would wait until the first member pics/ reviews, hopefully comparisons start to appear shortly. Than there are so many different character Rolexes (GMT, Vintage Explorer, Noob Explorer, Double-red and 16600 Seadweller, DSSD,....) that I think I would prefer variation instead of getting better samples of the same watch, but that´s just me. I suppose You do have the ceramic sub so the TC 16610 (green lume) would be something expensive to get. This not to speak of other brands, AP Diver being one favourite, if You don´t have it yet (new V5.1 just released) or the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 15400. Sub-C/Ap15400 DSSD Piccard Edition vs. AP Diver V5

With the contrasting black bezel and the nice round chronopushers this one sure is a looker. Thanks for the pics, enjoy -

Hi, I´ve been thinking about getting one of these 23j models already for some months now. If You have one, could You please post a pic and/or write something about it. Is it good? How does it compare to the 15400? The thickness stated at 14,5 mm has been putting me off.... Would be great to get some more insight in this. Thanks in advance for Your help.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Check out the trusted dealers, they all are trusted and know how to ship to Singapore. Best way is to go with one of the watches that get the best reviews here on the forum in the beginning. Keep the more difficult choices of specific watches You want for another time. Have fun around. Wish You good choices.

Ordered it too, reluctantly I must say. Too expensive for an Asian movement and a "simple" watch with just hands, even hasn´t got a date complication..... But it looks good and the gen costs more. This was just a test and we fell for it, me included, can´t wait to get one of these. That´s also why the new Submariner-C Noob V3 has been released for 368+70 shipping (!!!!!!!!!!!!!Asian) if its Europe (increase of +37,5% with Asian move) -well it´s got a date complication......... Hilarious but also sad. At these prices You have to choose like with gen´s and still cope with a dozen problems. One more increase next Year and it´s back to gens, those are Steinhart prices already.

Puretime new offering: Noob Diver V5.1
Nightwatch replied to Dreamer's topic in The Audemars Piguet Area
As Niko said "I currently have a V5 and I consider it to be one of the best reps I have ever owned." Nothing to add:) From the description the 5.1. has the right-sized numbering which I hope to look at in APNoobsters comparison pics... waiting for those. At least the price of the 5.1. still seems somewhat sensible, thanks for that as the new Noob sub V3 had a 35% increase over last version and already the Blackbay lays on the heavy side from my point-of-view. This being said I will stay with my gen-like feeling V5 for Years to come I think. It´s still just too risky to replace a perfect watch with another that could have some misaligned dial, scratchy stem, no power reserve... etc. etc. -
Beautiful picture Mike and super-thx for the tips from the start of this thread, my Seiko is coming in today and just waiting for Yobokies no-date gold version dial, hands and the lumed bezel insert to arrive. Only part missing is the red-tipped second hand, maybe try to put some varnish on myself.

Looks good. Black on black.

Trusty's 16610? ROLSUB108C - any reviews or thoughts
Nightwatch replied to marrickvilleboy's topic in The Rolex Area
I just ordered the ceramic 116610 version of this watch. My only complaint is the "OYSTER PERPETUAL DATE" is too spaced apart and the clasp is significantly off. I can't wait to receive the watch though. I don't know if the 16610 has the same problems. Hi and welcome, once you get used to it´s looks it´s a comfortable watch to wear with adjustable clasp which is very nice. Pearl is the only thing that sometimes bothers a bit but it doesn´t matter if You´re not sitting next to the guy with the gen in the train/plane. Andrews ceramic Sub -

Looking forward to that comparison. Great, thx -
Hi, the Ap 15400 from BP maker is 11mm thick. For the screws on the Diver V5 they should be a bit more recessed but I really stopped going into this detail. Never had looked with a lupe at my gens before joining the forums:) The better You know the flaws the lesser You like the watch. My main priority now is: do I like it and is it a good watch - and these are... AP Diver V5 - should I really worry about the screw recessment or the tint above the date-glass? - nope The AP 15400 BP - this is better in Silver or white I think

Trusty's 16610? ROLSUB108C - any reviews or thoughts
Nightwatch replied to marrickvilleboy's topic in The Rolex Area
Nitpicking apart. If You just want to use it without changing all the parts or getting the TC plus insert for nearly 700, I think it´s a fine rep to get for the price. Check the inner rehault engravings are centered at 12. Indeed that´s the 16610 I would buy from Trusty no damage done for the price. I am very happy with the TC - it´s the superior watch in every detail with a thinner caseset, no engravings - but still use the others about the same time so all of them stay new. Just get it, good choice. Comparison pic from Trustis Seadweller and TC to get an idea -
I sure should like it, shouldn´t I ? Congrats on your buy.

Greetings Omegawatchman:) Welcome to the forum. Some are: Rolex, Omega, Panerai, Breitling, Tag Heuer, Audemars Piguet, +++???

Hi and welcome Marsellus. It is quite easy to answer Your question: Invest between 360 and 460 usd shipping included once for an automatic super-rep, wait about 3 weeks and You will know. You deserve it and You will be amazed. Save a fortune on not-bought-gens all Your life. Always have the watch others only dream off .... Buy a car, build a home:))) You will have to look not only for good looks but overall quality of the rep.... and have some luck as the quality is not standardized. There are several that not only look but also "feel" 90% gen. So You will need to look for a nice watch with hours-minute and seconds hand with date and for the time being exclude all other complications as chronographs, moonwatches, dual times etc. for this first purchase. Try to look for good lume as this will be an impressive feature and go. What are the brands You are looking for?

Rolex Pro-Hunter...Submariner or Seadweller? Best rep out of box?
Nightwatch replied to gwxhs's topic in The Rolex Area
Go for the DSSD, the PVD or SS version. Maybe You want to take a look at this new one, SS, just released http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/166432-great-quailty-dssd-well-made/?hl=%2Bnoob+%2Bdssd Sead is a great guy, takes some time to answer but good watches. The other one You may want to take a look at is the Noob version (other factory than the ones You have been seeing) from Toro Than compare and choose. The SS is more Rolex-like, the PVD is easily confused with any other brand, at least from some meters away. Good hunting -
The Cousteau Divers Chrono and the Aquatimer Chrono are available in several colours and versions, haven´t seen the non-chrono ones yet. Below the 2008 version which You probably know, think it´s beautifully done.
