Actually Andrews ceramic sub is quite a fantastic, superlumed in blue watch with a perfect (adjustable) rolesor bracelet, the turning of the 120-click bezel is smooth and functional, inner rehault Rolex engraving, laser-etched crown in the glass at 6, serial number on the caseset so You may wear it on a NATO, serial engraved in the rehault at 6 too, screw-down crown with rubber, a wrong pearl, a too thick caseset, maybe another datefont - but who knows or bothers? It´s a lot of value for the money, You will love it, next You might get a green-lumed 16600 Seadweller without Cyclops to match it. Than the shinier TC - or an Ap Diver or a Steelfish…...... Why not the AP 15400 or 15300 wears much thinner, got a 43/41 mm case, gets more wrist-time than the Diver with me. Its a fantastic, timeless Genta-design and sits very comfortable on that unique bracelet, really one of my favourites for dress and sports. The AP Leo Messi on the left is 10,9 mm thin (Sweeping main seconds hand when activating the Quartz-Chrono, otherwise locked at 12´, the secs at 6 are small but tick). Even better to have the 15400 in silver or white and the L.M. in black. Just an idea but one AP in the collection is a fine thing.

Just have a small handheld for pointing out stars or objects. Well with that??? - Explode a balloon..... engrave a strap....engrave a metal casing of a Panerai - vintage style? Test out the lume at night after pointing at the watch with the laser? It´s nice to have it in the first place! Enjoy:)

Ok, the Seiko SKX009 ordered on Saturday 25.01. from Creation Watches arrived by DHL on Tuesday 28.01. at 10h27 (had spent the monday in customs EU, cleared tax-free:)). This was 80 hours from payment to doorstep. Sat-ordered-Sun-Mon-Tue arrived: This was a fantastic experience. The watch came well packaged in a (cardboard) Seiko Box with instruction manual. Very happy with this "Poor Man´s Marinemaster" itself. Worth more than each cent paid for it. Removed the Seiko Jubilee bracelet (30 minutes because of the Seiko springbars, solid but without a grip to push them) and because even the smallest screwdriver doesn´t fit the links. Ordered some coloured Paul Hewitt Natos for this one anyway from Amazon UK also on Saturday but those didn´t arrive yet.... think a stitched Shark would go best with it. To go below that is an adventure and the quality/look may be miserable. Difficult time to buy because of Chinese New Year until 15th February. Wish You luck and patience.

Short update: Incredibly in 60 hours after payment on Saturday this has already cleared customs, left the Capital-city and could have picked it up today afternoon, Monday 27th if I wanted to drive 40 km. This is quite a remote place and even Amazon takes 8-14 days to get here. Will be delivered tomorrow by DHL, already contacted them. Meanwhile being used to wait more time for the first QC-pics to arrive I almost can´t believe it, shipping was free and CNY going on, hope to get back tomorrow with a pic on my wrist by this time:)

Thanks a lot for the review and the pictures. Have been waiting for this one to appear in members pics because it´s quite expensive imho for the Asian movement. The look of it has been growing on me though for the last few weeks. And it looks terrificly well in Your pictures too. Movement and timekeeping are ok on this one? 60 - clicks bezel sounds strange. Waiting for the comparison and please some lumeshots too:) Wear it well, it´s classic and beautiful, quite special.

Happily disappointed, I wanted this FFF but neither for 500 nor for 800 so I´ll save the 300 I would´ve spent altogether - or than I go the Seiko Fifty Fathoms way on e-bay suggested by Mike (thanks for the hint) and have to wait almost no time:) Haven´t got the AP Roo either because when it gets to the 500´s price range plus shipping I expect what Toro mentioned: "Well, I expect perfection for that price. Unfortunately a movement fail, a misaligned bezel, a scratch on the dial, poorly applied lume it will be a huge disappointment. And no matter how good it is, it will still be a rep" and glad to see a TD mention this - thumbs up . I did never complain on a 128´rep and expectations are lower. BTW on Amazon You send it back if You don´t like it and in a weeks time have Your 128´or 500´ refund and that´s it. Gladly never had to send anything back because everything comes and works as pictured/described anyway. All misaligned bezel/stickers/pearl ones or otherwise flawed should/could be sold at a seriously cheaper price like "2nd choice ware" or something like that anyways, there would be buyers too - but happy buyers for knowing they get it with a flaw but at better price. Like it is now I think the factories (and TD´s) loose much more money from people just turning their backs to reps altogether and forever after getting the 3rd flawed one and loosing their patience. Just my thoughts on that. 800!!??!

Just Puretime has it for the time being and a lot at 318 plus shipping with Asian movement. Could at least have a swiss ETA as the gen. Have this on my 2014-wishlist-to-be-or-not-to-be because indeed I like the combination of the various vintage pieces into one watch and (maybe luckily) haven´t buyed a Bond-sub yet so can put it into this - as well as the Fifty Fathoms which unfortunately will be much more expensive. Where are rep-prices headed? Amazing pictures, specially when taking like You did with the iphone. That fisheye attachment is something else. But wanted to compliment You on the watches, have been waiting for some good micrometer pictures and these are amazing but on the wrist its huge. That Seamaster is my alltime favourite next to the Sub and will become a classic, gets even better after the bezel fades a bit in the sun, perfect with dress too. The deville details are stunning, that´s perfectly made. Thanks for the pics, keep them coming

Hi and welcome. Look on the trusted dealer sites and choose one starting in 150-270 usd range. Both Asian movements do their job, avoid swiss for the first purchase (just my opinion). After reading more and buying some watches You will look at them differently so no need to hurry for the most expensive ones but avoid the very cheapest under 100 also. Good luck.

AP Diver is 14,3 mm thick, actually thinner than the 14,6 mm 116610 Ceramic Sub same as 14,3mm 16610 SD and much less than the DSSD 17,5mm. But the whole case on the Diver has that thickness all across the 54,5 mm (from 12 to 6) x 45,66 mm (from 10 to 4) while the Sub is rounded and thinner on the sides and only that thick in the center, that´s why it wears big As for the case size, measured from 10 to 4 the difference is huge, it´s the following: Diver: 45,66 mm Ceramic Sub: 41,35 mm 16610 SD: 39,83 mm Still the Diver wears comfortably and without moving because of the quite large rubber strap - and it´s a beauty to look at and to hold, quality all around.

Hi, qualitywise the AP Diver V5 is awesome in comparison to other reps, just meaning everything about it: working, power reserve, overall quality, gen~like feel. Weighs 182 grams but it feels heavier than the 204 gr. DSSD and wears bigger. Pics I´ve got below, someday have to take some side-by-sides with the Submariner, that´s right. Hope this helps a bit. Hi, in mine, between the links - right in the center - is an almost invisible tiny micro-tube through which the pin goes. This makes it tight and fitting and it probably fell out (you don´t hear and see it if You don´t look for it). If You have a spare link You could try to take out the pin and look for such a tube. Other: put glue gun without glue to the link to heat it up, fill the hole with glue, put in the pin (if needed reheat link). Last: Remove bracelet and use a Nato-Strap until You get a replacement. Get them both and save on shipping as they are different watches.
