  3. Some absolute garbage advice on here. 1. Forget these nonsense links and stick to the trusted dealers listed here and over the road at the other sites unless you want to pay a fortune for a canal street standard rep 2. For ceramic sub the best version was the noob v6s. Sadly it's nigh on impossible to get one so you are stuck with the noob v7. It's still a good rep and light years away from the crap you get on dhgate. It's also better than the JF. 3. For 5 digit sub it's TC every time. I can't remember if TC is a trusted dealer here but he is on repgeek. 4. Use the search facility on this site. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I'll defo take a diver one when it comes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I've got two watches currently with sa3135 and one previously and maybe just got lucky but I've never had a problem with them. My v6s DSSD is running at +4 s/d, it's my most accurate watch by some distance. I'd jump at a 3135 mmm dj!

  7. An oldie just received by one of the old school dealers over the road, Precious Time. Like a trip down memory lane this! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  9. Have a look in the watches, clothes and accessories section on here. The only ones I can speak for on here personally are Sead (Supermirrors) and he's never let me down. He doesn't have a glossy website but providing you do your research and know which watch you want from which factory he is very good at sourcing a good one. The other being puretime who have a nice website with proper rep pictures on, a QC process so you can check the watches out to ensure no glaring errors in quality control (I've found I've needed to do this with pt a few times - they're a bigger organisation than Sead, churning more watches and therefore missing things from time to time, also everyone's tolerances are different so this is a handy way of ensuring what you're getting before it arrives) their communication is quick and clear, with Sead it can take a while sometimes because he doesn't have the resources PT do. Overall it's whatever floats your boat - 80% of my watches come from Sead, I can't talk highly enough of him. Puretime have also been very good, and many on here will speak highly of TrustyTime, Toro, Josh and the others - they're TD's for a reason, they've earned the right to be recommended by the community here and have kept that service level going for a considerable time. My advice is spend a long time looking around the brand sections, trading, TD's etc - familiarise yourself with the watches you like, different versions and the processes when it comes to getting a watch. Read the reviews and decide for yourself. People won't always answer questions because the information is all here. Good luck and enjoy! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Stick to the trusted dealers section on here, you're asking for trouble with solidswiss where there have been loads of horror stories across the rep fora, and what looks like a pretty obvious fake trustytime site in Russia [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Also ignore the website pictures, the dodgy sites use gen pics so obviously look good. 11. Ado213 - not sure if he is on this forum but you will certainly see him active across the road - knows his way around a rolex and is based in the UK Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Wow at that admirals cup! Bravo! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. One of these that can house a 3135 would be a fantastic addition to the portfolio JMB! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Mymanmatt's build are only mid size - dj 2 you would have to look at noob for that. I have one and it is, bar the crystal, an excellent rep. There is some debate over whether the rep will accept gen crystal - I haven't braved trying yet! The Explorer 1 is a beautiful watch but considering the simplicity nobody had really done it justice yet. J12 just released an updated version and I wasnt particularly impressed considering the price tag (in the region of $400) I would also consider an Oyster date from tudor - nice and easy to franken Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Hi, Living not too far from London and being reasonably recently single, the obvious way to spend a Saturday afternoon these days includes jumping on a train and checking out the new watches that are all making the headlines at the fine watch exhibition, Salon QP. Tickets were a modest £25 which included several optional seminars and 15 small rooms worth of exhibitors. The headline names included MB&F, Tudor, Nomos, Cartier, Hermes, Mont Blanc, JLC, Piaget, Tag and GPHG. First room housed Tudor who had clearly taken the event as an opportunity to try to start to make their mark on the UK market. Until now they have concentrated their efforts on Asia and the Americas and are keen to break away from both Rolex here whilst stressing that whilst the movements are not in-house, they are a quality, budget option. And it wasn't long before I had the Pelagos and Black Bay on my wrist. First thing I noticed was how light the Pelagos is. The titanium is self-oxidising, minimising the impact of minor scratches. Will be interesting to see how the ZF and J12 factories efforts live up to this standard. The AR on the Pelagos was better than any other Tudor watch on show. It really caught my eye and is now on my list as a potential next purchase. The BB was a bit disappointing - as you can see the crystal gave off a heavy glare, that said it is a nice looking watch and the rep is pretty good by comparison. Tudor's display cabinets and a few vintage watches below.... Next up was Hermes, who had a small but stunning display cabinet where the watches were almost hidden. I was wearing a Hermes belt that Sead sourced for me so I didn't hang around at this point (despite it being virtually indistinguishable having compared the two previously) Hermes had made an impact in the run up to the event with their GMT effort - I didn't get to try it on obviously so here are some pics Mont Blanc was nearby and they were a big talking point. As well as showcasing their beautiful moonphase watches and a new Timewalker, the big thing on this floor was the Metamorphosis II http://instagram.com/p/vJymvsq13K/?modal=true http://instagram.com/p/vJymvsq13K/?modal=true Other highlights - nicest of Tag's offerings, mostly pretty boring - Zenith tourby, photo didn't do it justice - Limited edition Zenith Rolling Stones - Sinn U2, just really for comparison for people looking to buy the rep. Was surprised how similar it was to the rep. The 6100B Regulateur on the other hand, which I own, surprised me. The rep is quite dull and plain whilst the gen sparkles. - New Nomos watch, an upgrade on their previous world time. The girl who went through their range had a lot of time for me and was really nice and very pretty as well. All of their staff were very approachable, all fluent German and English speakers. Saw the Tangente in the flesh as well and the Rodina is so funny - virtually the same watch. - Uhrwerk. Sure I saw something in the Puretime section a while ago about this - here's the gen And finally, MB&F.... Cartier had a new skeleton Santos and a watch with the minutes section completely transparent, I caught them at the end but my battery was dying at this point. Any questions, happy to answer!
  16. New toy, thanks elloello Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. It's a datejust constructed with a combination of rep and gen parts by mymanmatt, can't remember his name on here it might be luxurywatches or something similar
  18. You're just a mattjust and a rep 90%+ constructed from gen parts away from certification
  19. The straps are around $75-85 shipped, BP supplies them, most TDS will have access to them Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Got my xtal today...just need a watch for it now!
  21. Mine went to my watchsmith who commented that the isochronism was miles out, poor tolerance on the hearing and definitely clone not swiss. Which confirms everything we already knew about BP assembly. The big problem for me with this watch is the greeny tinge to the markers which make them a completely different colour to the hands. Looks like a paint job is required! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Sorry I got the number wrong, its the #13 as well. I have the #8 already. Cousins don't appear to have the newer number style, only the ETA one
