  1. Genius? If he was a genius he would be living in the tropic's and not the Arctic circle. Welcome to RWG. Ken
  2. @psiron I started this thread as concerned for you and your watch as anyone else but I am now very quickly growing tired of these games, I am now asking you as an Admin team member to PM me the name of the person who did the mods on your watch. Understand there are many things I can do should you choose to ignore this request, understand also that D4M is the Admin for RWI and a personal friend, he will with hold that dial if I ask him to do so. Balls in your court. Ken
  3. Yeah c'mon Pho, the watches are beautiful and all that but where's the people? Ken
  4. Pointless! I'll have you know there is plenty of point to my posts, I'm not one to go on and on and on and on over nothing you know, why once my mama told me to shut my trap and not make a sound and I tell you i didn't even breathe until someone noticed I was turning blue and another thing I know what's what and where's where and yada yada, blah, blah, blah.......................... Ken
  5. Exactly! My point is that I don't give a damn what Flav has said in regards to this person, the Admins of the forums need to know who he is so we can each tell him to stay away from modding. Ken
  6. These glorious insults are from an era when cleverness with words was still valued, before a great proportion of insults became 4-letter words. The exchange between Churchill & Lady Astor: She said, "If you were my husband I'd give you poison," and he said, "If you were my wife, I'd drink it." A member of Parliament to Disraeli: "Sir, you will either die on the gallows or of some unspeakable disease." "That depends, Sir," said Disraeli, "whether I embrace your policies or your mistress." "He had delusions of adequacy." -- Walter Kerr "He has all the virtues I dislike and none of the vices I admire." -- Winston Churchill "A modest little person, with much to be modest about." -- Winston Churchill "I have never killed a man, but I have read many obituaries with great pleasure." -- Clarence Darrow "He has never been known to use a word that might send a reader to the dictionary." -- William Faulkner (about Ernest Hemingway). "Poor Faulkner. Does he really think big emotions come from big words?" -- Ernest Hemingway (about William Faulkner) "Thank you for sending me a copy of your book; I'll waste no time reading it." -- Moses Hadas "He can compress the most words into the smallest idea of any man I know." -- Abraham Lincoln "I didn't attend the funeral, but I sent a nice letter saying I approved of it." --Mark Twain "He has no enemies, but is intensely disliked by his friends." -- Oscar Wilde "I am enclosing two tickets to the first night of my new play; bring a friend... if you have one." -- George Bernard Shaw to Winston Churchill "Cannot possibly attend first night, will attend second... if there is one." -- Winston Churchill, in response. "I feel so miserable without you; it's almost like having you here." -- Stephen Bishop "He is a self-made man and worships his creator." -- John Bright "I've just learned about his illness. Let's hope it's nothing trivial." -- Irvin S. Cobb "He is not only dull himself, he is the cause of dullness in others." -- Samuel Johnson "He is simply a shiver looking for a spine to run up." -- Paul Keating "There's nothing wrong with you that reincarnation won't cure." -- Jack E. Leonard "He has the attention span of a lightning bolt." -- Robert Redford "They never open their mouths without subtracting from the sum of human knowledge." -- Thomas Brackett Reed "In order to avoid being called a flirt, she always yielded easily." -- Charles, Count Talleyrand "He loves nature in spite of what it did to him." -- Forrest Tucker "Why do you sit there looking like an envelope without any address on it?" -- Mark Twain "His mother should have thrown him away and kept the stork." -- Mae West "Some cause happiness wherever they go; others, whenever they go." -- Oscar Wilde "He uses statistics as a drunken man uses lamp-posts... for support rather than illumination." -- Andrew Lang (1844-1912) "He has Van Gogh's ear for music." -- Billy Wilder "I've had a perfectly wonderful evening. But this wasn't it." -- Groucho Marx Ken
  7. All quartz are accurate, far more so than any mechanical movement, when they start doing funny things change the battery. If it still acts up after changing the battery put it in the bin where it belongs. Ok....just joking. But yes it the battery. Ken
  8. I am going to ask those who have offered help to with hold it until psiron identifies the member who modded the watch. We can't discount the possibility that psiron himself attempted to mod the watch and is now fishing for a free fix. Not saying this is the case but it needs to be kept in mind. Ken
  9. dlovely dluddy Beautiful Pam's although I can give you one tip........they look better without the bezel protectors Ken
  10. Regardless of how you want to view this the fact is that there is a member out there who offers mod work via PM and is not keen on fixing his stuff ups. I believe the Admin teams of each board should be told who this member is. Ken
  11. I think I just put on 2kgs just looking at the picture. Ken
  12. To top it off we were throwing around ways to reward this honesty and we came up with a years platinum membership, but low and behold it turns out he upgraded to platy before we had a chance to gift it to him. Anyway we have been throwing around ideas for a reward and I'm sure we will come up with something nice but I can also say he would be splitting his sides with laughter if he saw some of the suggestions we have made. Anyway well done to a quality member, very glad to have your type aboard Ken
  13. I think you just did. Ken
  14. I'm wondering if keeping this guy's username concealed is in the best interest of all the other members, at the very least you should make the forums Admin teams aware of who he is. Ken
  15. May I ask exactly where you found this dealer? Ken
  16. Personally I think the bezels on these rep models are the deal killers. It's not that I'm afraid someone would pick them as rep but that I personally find the wider black part very off putting. Ken
  17. Oh we have those one piece bikini natives too only Mrs kenberg talks softly but carries a big stick. Hit 45.1C here today or a tad over 113F Ken
  18. Ok ok I surrender.....Nanuq send me some snow.....we are currently experiencing our 3rd consecutive (a record) day of plus 43C temperatures, that about 110F for those in the States. I have the AC set at 16C but it just can't beat back the heat, fortunately though we are going off for our evening swim in another hour or two so I don't have to suffer it much longer. This is what we see every night...... Oh and of course the natives.... Ken
  19. Do you mean the guy in the blue hat? I thought that was Micheal Jackson Did you see the Siamese twins a couple of rows before him? Ken
  20. As the father of a young girl myself I can tell you I felt physically sick when this story broke..... http://news.ninemsn.com.au/national/735234...ls-bridge-death The Westgate Bridge.... Whatever you are doing today pause and give thought to little Darcy Freeman who was on her way to her very first day at school. Ken
  21. Wow another scorcher here in Melbourne. And we couldn't even buy a nice ice cream to cool down with...... Ken

I'm not computer savvy myself but have you tried clearing your cookies? The problem is definitely with your computer because this site loads as quick as any other. Ken PS If it's not your cookies check for cake crumbs.
  23. Apology accepted. Please familiarize yourself with this forum and you will soon see you don't need off site sellers. Ken
  24. A watchsmith named Hacko....scary But yeah nice watch at a great price. Ken
  25. Ok I too am missing some pieces of this story. @Watchlover1 exactly why would this watch go back to the dealer? If your original post was to question whether the buyer had the watch too long to expect a refund then surely you, who would have had it for a whole lot longer, would not expect a refund from your dealer? Ken
