  1. Yes we have Citibank But the good old debit card works, simply you can only spend the money you put in it so if it is a watch account just keep $500 there. Better yet don't buy from China with CC in the first place. Ken
  2. Now where did I put that ban button.... Only kidding buddy take your time as we love your input enough even without the plati. Ken
  3. KB

    Powermax

Just can't understand these post whores. Seriously congrats on the milestone and heres to the next 2500. Ken
  4. Actually the reason is that some dealers build as much of the shipping cost into the price of their goods as they can. Nothing to do with cheap labour I'm afraid as EMS (Chinese owned courier) charges the same fee's as other internationals. Ken
  5. Like Gran I feel that was an unfortunate choice of username. Maybe a change could be in order? Ken
  6. Ask him what's so freaking funny. Or did you show him your wiener? Ken
  7. The low mileage is easy to explain. They found her in a glacier, the 66K she did in her first 2 years. My old man used to drive these beasts all the time but we talked him into buying a new Colorado last year, you need a bit of comfort when you're 83yo. Ken
  8. So after the kiss does he say "How about a puck?" Ken
  9. Indeed W rep dealers are fast becoming that elusive wallmart shopping experience. Ken
  10. What makes you think that? I am yet to see a dealers pic's that looks like they slapped the watch down on a table and ran off 1/2 a dozen point and shoot shots. When I first started on the old RWG a dealer would put up his own pic's of a watch and then sell X amount of them from that pic. Once you paid for your watch you just sat tight and hoped it made it through customs, because hey it's an illegal hobby and we know we are not shopping at wall mart. Now we buy a watch we want a dozen Emails with the dealer on every small detail, we want these QC pic's, we want a guarantee that the dealer has personally QCed the watch, we want guaranteed delivery (dealer takes customs risk), we want a guarantee the watch holds up without any preemptive maintenance .....once it was widely advised to locktite all screws on a new rep, now if screws fall out it goes back to the dealer...we even want a warranty of sorts that if a watch has a fault within 3 to 6 months it goes back to the dealer. Hell I had a customer who started a PP dispute because he wanted me to pay VAT that his own country charged him. All this is fine and good and I largely don't have a problem with what is expected today, but that second list is why our watches cost a lot more today than they once did. Ken
  11. People need to also be sensible about QC photo's too. I have people ask me for QC shots on $30 items, I mean sure I am going to get someone to take photo's of an item that I make 5 bucks on...like who is paying for the pic's? I think it pays to remember that these pic's do not just magically appear, the dealer needs to get someone with the expertise (co$t) to set them up and take them and a dealer should be able to charge for this service. Ken
  12. Daniel get a local watchsmith to pop the bezel off and re-align. Ken
  13. Slow day up North Nanuq? Ken
  14. @ Josh I have set your post invisible and it shall remain such until the Admin team has decided what (if any) action we will take. Ken
  15. If I see one more member trying to buy in this GD section I am going to start kicking butt. If the OP wants to sell his watches he will do so in the sales area, regardless of how much he hates it. Ken
  16. Actually Stephan the book you read doesn't have to be about quitting. If you are an avid reader, have a book handy during your free time and you wont notice cravings. I used patches myself, although I only needed one weeks worth, but then I had just found out my little girl had asthma and that was all the drive I needed. Ken
  17. @ Jkay we don't need to trace the attacks, the hard work has already been done. What we need to see is some proof that what we have been given is authentic. Just some food for thought... DDoS attacks are illegal, so is selling rep's... Those in the firing line now may have pulled a few triggers themselves... Ken
  18. Wont be from here, I have seen our Admin explain why before but can't remember the details. Ken
  19. Personally I can't understand why some members believe this is open for discussion. The rule was put in place after your Admin team (approx. 10 members) looked at it from every angle. We now expect it to be followed, as offshore said we do have the means to enforce it and one of those is to remove a members selling rights. Ken
  20. It's good they are art pieces, he's got zero chance of mass production. Ken
  21. This is all fine and good but the whole thread has taken a complete turn away from my original post. The thread has nothing to do with how good or bad off board dealers are, just as it has nothing to do with how good or bad our dealers are. My only point was that as we have formed the tag 'Trusted' to mean dealers on our board there is no point in asking if dealers that are not here are trusted or not. Ken
  22. Told you I was stupid, I thought that was a day reading at 3. Cool watch Ken
  23. Ok maybe I'm stupid but can someone tell me how the timezone feature works? Ken
  24. Call me old fashioned but I still like the PO on a black strap with orange stitching. Not to much 'In your face' and not to understated. Ken
