Great looking piece. I have a really old 16613 rep with solid YG bracelet links. Wonder if you could find one of those and figure out something to make end links work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Pm Matt, but I think generally they start at quite a bit more than that. Depends on parts selected. To me more than worth the extra cost. Great pieces that you know are done correctly with excellent quality control and movements that will run for a long time. In addition to being a great watchsmith he is just a great guy. Here is a pic of a DD he built me. Much more $ but a beautiful piece I think. Keeps excellent time and everything works Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Most accurate watch you own? (Not Quartz!)

Anything Matt has worked on. Went in to check the winder and they are all within a minute of the cable box. The TC and BK 's also. Only ones off are the out of box reps I haven't sent to Matt yet. All three are fast one over 5 minutes. Thanks Matt Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Working on redoing the platinum on my insert for the heritage big crown rep. Needs more coats but getting there. Re polished the case. Starting to look pretty good I think. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Gen 116610 dial and bezel inserts on eBay?
droptopman replied to glight2000's topic in The Rolex Area
Cool thread. Will be looking forward to see how this turns out. Agree on the insert. Tried all kinds on plat mods-thanks live1 for the info on RWI. But the numbers just are not cut correctly and deep enough. Sold my BK because of that. It was a very nice piece but the insert drove me nuts. Now I have a beautiful heritage big crown I am working on and have redone the paint several times, but still have the cut issue. Love to put a hen insert on that. Good luck guys Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Had same dilemma. Did a consulting gig for a little side cash for a new gen sub c. Always had one gen Rolex to wear then would trade it in every few years. So stuck wearing same watch every day or one of my old movodos or similar. Found this forum and decided to buy a bunch a reps. Bought about a dozen in last 5 months. Mostly m2m and a TC and couple BK's. Have a nice Franken 16750 build going now and need to build a vintage big crown yet just not sure which model. Super happy with that decision. Now tough decision of the day is which watch to wear....found a great watch smith here on the forum which has helped tremendously as we know the reps are not as reliable, but once he squares them up they are good to go. Wife looks at all the watches and keeps asking "haven't you spent your watch fund yet?" My response, "no only about half of it". Love the hobby and the forum. Happy shopping Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Dave one of my younger staff asked me if they were "blue blockers" from the infomercial... No taste these young folks. I have a pair of the Miami vice Revos from 85 also:). And several old ray bans. Love the vintage shades almost as much as vintage watches Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Dre, way to jump out there. Nice to meet you, via PM. I like the look of this, it is---ah different, but generally folks frown on diamonds and gold All that matters is if you like it. My friend Dave would love this. That is his diamond DD pictured above. Good luck with your first purchase and welcome to the forum. -
I am in WA state. Last one from China took 2 weeks to reach the great PNW... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Try mymanmatt he does great DD/DJ. Use a good strap and gen buckle. Here is mine gen dial crown bezel and crystal on a gen strap. Matt does great work and is a great guy to work with. He has build and modded several pieces for me. Or one that was build for my friend who likes bling. I had this watch in my hand and on the wrist and the bracelet is decent. In fact I ordered a gold bracelet for mine but do not have it yet. Weight and feel are a little off as I had a gen gold DD a few years back but it does look pretty good. Don't know about durability yet as these are new. Clasp is nice and locks good. -
Sweet piece. The holy grail watch. My all time favorite. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
