  1. I did a search and didnt find much.. I just bought the kello app for my iPhone 4s and it works PERFECT. Theres some bad reviews out there but thats for the original version that came out a few years ago. Ive tested all my watches and no problems at all and its quite accurate. It costs $9 i think. Super cheap. All my watches are running between -4 and +2.6 seconds per day. NOt bad at all. Expect one of my Datejusts thats coming up as -166 seconds per day. I think that one needs a tune up!! lol

Awesome watch! Did WSO send you a 1680 bezel? Thats what the package says in your pictures anyways... weird. Its close enough I suppose and it still looks REALLY good on the watch. I built basicly the same watch with gen dial, gen bezel assembly and gen faded insert etc and I am VERY happy with it. I have another gen dial and my Yuki bezel set so I am looking forward to building another one.
  3. I have an MBW16610 and the watch on Yuki's site is NOT an MBW, not even close. highoeyazmuhudee is right. He's the MBW master around here.
  4. I have an old gen datejust jubilee bracelet and the screws feel like they are welded in. I have tried penetrating oils and heat and they wont budge. I eventually gave up before i completely stripped out the screw heads. Someone must have used epoxy or something to secure them. I was thinking i might take the bracelet to a machine shop and see if they can drill out the screws... dizz
  5. Thats most likely what happened. I didnt really pay much attention to the space between the datewheel and the bottom of the dial. I may have used the wrong spacer. very interesting as i also would have assumed the spacer was the same size. I got the movements from rafffles time i think on ebay. They were sold as DG but who knows.
  6. I use his spacers and they are perfect. I needed to file a tiny bit of the brass away so the movement clip would fit properly but it was minor.
  7. I would keep the tritium as flat as possible and vintagize it from there. Puffy markers are an indication of a later relume most of the time. Gen tritium markers are flat.
  8. is this Yuki bracelet really THAT much better than the one you can get from the cartel dealers for $55??
  9. Maybe try a different link. Any hollow 93150 style link should work as long as the gen screw can fit through it. Some of the hollow links arnt as "hollow" as others and the fat screws wont go through. Use the rep screw into the rep link and you should be fine. I've done it before. dizz
  10. I bought the same crown with tube on ebay for $15.99 and the seller swore up and down that it was a reproduction but DID fit on a gen tube. In the ebay pics he didnt show the side of the crown with the threads of course and when i received it, it was exactly the same one you have. I complained to pp and they refunded my money. The seller says he has sold many of them and i am the first to complain. Yeah right. Then in the next couple weeks as i was waiting for my paypal refund, i saw his negative feedback racking up with complaints about the crowns. There is NO WAY in hell that thing is gunna fit on a gen tube. Not even close. Hopefully you get your money back.
  11. Daaaaamn!!! Nice work! I cant wait to see more of this!
  12. I dont know... Maybe it was just wishful thinking
  13. I always thought the DG2813 movement was interchangable with the ETA2836. I guess not... I was bored today and put a DG movement into my old MBW16610 so i could wear it. Everything was fine until the caseback was tightened up... movement stops and rotor wont spin. I put in the thickest caseback gasket I had and now the movement keeps ticking but its just a fraction of a mm too tall and the rotor wont spin. Sometimes I really HATE these asian movements.. Thats my rant for today... carry on. dizz
  14. wow! I bet theres LOTS of boxes like this hidden away and forgotten about....
  15. Surprising that nobody has one yet and taken it apart.... Is angus even selling them yet? I know there was a delay initially.
  16. I think you have the wrong movement there. Looks like you have the old '3135 look' movement thats been around for a couple years. It is really an ETA2836 dressed up to look like a 3135 but has the ETA layout. I think this thread is talking about the NEW movement that is supposed to actually be a copy of the Rolex 3135.
  17. The dial that came in my 1655 from Josh was nothing like the dial on his website. It was terrible up close. Good thing it went into the trash anyways. If you want to spend $500 you can forget using high end replacement parts. Best bet is to get a josh 1655 and put in a better dial. Im not much into 1655's but you can look for dials from the usual suspects... yuki, NDT, ingod on ebay etc. dizz
  18. I could use a set of these for an old 9315 bracelet...
  19. There are TWO versions of the 1999 swiss luminova dial probably from different dial makers. The one shown above looks like its probably gen or a repainted gen dial. Here are two pics from the Rolex Forums.... The crown on the above dial looks a little off thats the only reason i suspect a repaint but who knows, it could just be the picture.
  20. Looks good to me! I could definately use a few of these!
  21. I originally had a t-19 on it but i didnt like the sharp edge all the way around it. It just didnt look right with my coin edge bezel. If/when i change it, i'll probably used a t-19 but I'll have to round off that edge first or use a t-19 superdome and shorten it.
  22. I love all his negative feedback on ebay LOL everyone is receiving fake handbags from him that stink like smoke and mildew HAHAHA.
  23. I wouldnt buy a PT1680 if you are wanting to add gen parts. Its a budget watch to begin with. Thats like buying a $400 car and putting $8000 wheels on it and a $4000 stereo. If you want to build any kind of franken watch it should be MBW or better. You can take a PT1680 and turn it into a nice daily beater don get me wrong... I guess it depends how far you are planning to go. If you want to do more than just a gen crown and tube, then you may as well start with a good case set.
