  1. im soooooooo jelous!!! I wanted this one
  2. I remember reading where a factory in china was copying new Kawasaki KX250 dirtbikes with amazing precision for a fraction of the cost... I wonder how i can get one? haha
  3. Those are fantastic pictures!! lol "Might be a real rolex! dont know.. have fun!" nice buddy haha
  4. I wonder how much it would be off by? Maybe spacer of some kind. But yeah its prob not even worth the time involved to do this mod.
  5. Very interesting! It might be a perfect fit!!! Wouldnt that be nice? But we all know it just cant be that easy lol. Im gunna have to really look into this now and see if i can make it work. dizz
  6. Go Ken!!! haha 9000! Im almost at 1000 haha
  7. haha thats a good one! Thanks for the info
  8. MBW16610 franken-sub... my daily beater
  9. Any of you "franken masters" know if this would even come close to working? I know the main issue is gunna be the stem position in the case... I found a good deal on a 3035 that runs well and i was considering tossing it into my MBW case with a gen dial. From what ive found.. the 3035 and 3135 are the same size? ideas? dizz
  10. The noob as we know has the famous 520117 serial number.. the new SSD has a 539117 serial number... do you think the new SSD is made in the 'noob factory' because of the similar serial numbers??? I just bought another sec@6 daytona with the noob factory 520117 serial and its fit and finish is amazing! This factory seems to produce the best rollie reps so far.
  11. i would honestly go for the asian version.. deeper rehaut on the asian and the movement isnt bad at all!! I'd rather buy two asians than one ETA version. dizz
  12. I cant bear to sell my subs.. even tho i have multiples of some, i just cant part with them!! hehe BUT, I think i might have to sell a MBW franken soon to make room for a new addition to my collection
  13. Why buy that when you can buy a Noobmariner from TTK for $100 thats the best out of the box sub rep you can buy Do some searching for the Noobmariner and see for yourself. dizz
  14. Theres no "fix" for the current sec@6. Its just a poorly designed and built conversion. You can prob get it serviced and it may run for a while but its a gamble. You can also freeze the second hand and take out the extra running gears. That may be a solution. dizz
  15. I also have an Ultimate BCE with double AR and its just amazing how the dial just pops out at you and you can see every detail. I love it. I recommend it for anyone whos looking for a good Breitling rep. dizz
  16. oh god i just ate way to much food! I think im dying! lol dizz
  17. Cloverfield looks pretty cool in the trailers.. doesnt surprise me that it sucks though haha. I guess that 'blair witch' camera action would get old REALLY fast. On a side note, i really liked I am Legend. I thought it was really good. dizz
  18. These prices are rediculous for a 16610 Sub. Get a "Noobmariner" from TTK for $100 and its better than the MBW or this Watchmaker9 Sub. The TTK noob has the Asian movement but who cares? The new movements are getting pretty good anyways.. or you can get the ETA version of the Noob from Paul or BK for around $230 i believe. Correct me if im wrong. A few others offer the true 520117 serial # sub as well. The noobmariner with the 520117 Serial number is the BEST out of the box submariner replica you can buy. They all need the same mods done... gen crown, tube, bezel insert, crown guards filed... so why start with a half decent sub for $499 when you can start with a near perfect sub for $100?. Most people think that for $100 the noob is gunna be junk but i guarantee you will be shocked when you see it. dizz
  19. This is exactly what i was thinking as i read the post. I had a submariner doing a similar thing and it was simply due to a incorrect stem length. When the crown was all the way in, the movement would stop. if you undid the crown a 1/4 turn or less, the movement would run again. Easy fix. Not sure if this was a normal issue for this specific movement. Im sure the movement had bigger problems but this was an easy short term repair. dizz
  20. Yeah you are right I was just trying to keep things simple for the new kids lol For the same price, I'd rather have a noob with some mods than a SSD in original form. You can build a NICE franken Asian Noob for about $200 plus labour. $100 for the noob from TTK the dealer here, $30 gen triplock crown, $15 aftermarket tube, $30-$40 for nice insert and pearl. Do the crown guards and file down the bracelet and then a little polish and some oiling and you're good to go! Next time i need a good franken 16610 this is my plan of attack. dizz
  21. awesome! good find! sent u a PM
  22. I think this is pretty much the perfect answer right here. Agree 100%. The downfall was DEFINATLY in your lack of confidence. dizz
  23. yeah i have no idea what a RLSS10003 is? I say the Noobmariner and the super SD are about the same quality. The noobmariner is much cheaper and will allow you a couple extra $ to add a gen crown and insert to make it a nice franken.
