I would say a sticky ball will do the trick, providing both ball and caseback are properly clean and not greased.

Ah, and, by the way, the 48% is just the taxation on the salary. The total tax rate is currently 68,5% (data from this evening). Fu_k them all.

I'm going to ask a strap maker to prepare a strap for my Pam288. Since I spent 1.5h doing the sizing, I wanted to share just in case someone needs the same task. Holes (as like as the cut of the deployant clasp) will be done by my self. NOTE: my wrist is 18.5cm (7.28in), so the sizing has been modified accordingly. If your wrist is smaller, reduce the 75mm and 30mm parts indicated in the 2 pencil designed sections (and the total lenght accordingly).

I can't say about German customs: surely on the little parcel (15×7×2cm) it is not written "custom made strap DONE WITH ENDANGERED PROTECTED SKIN". Only the lowercase part. Here it passed without any check (declared 10€ value). About the protected animal: in 2008 in the surroundings of Ho Chi Min there were around 115000 farmed crocodiles (they farm them also for the meat which they eat). See also here, page 6, in 2004: www.iucncsg.org/365_docs/attachments/protarea/Viet-4fa95946.pdf

Thanks. Just to add something: I queried the guy about a custom one for my Pam288k which has a weird 26.5/20mm sizing. He quoted it 55$ shipped.

A better link: Try this, maybe the Italian eBay link has some problem in your country (or maybe it was the mobile site link) http://stores.ebay.com/Sobek-Alligator

I can't leave in a place where the predominant color in sightseeing is brownish. I prefer green colors. Like these ones in the background...

Well, I am kind of satisfied, especially considering I paid less than 40$ With a different light: Here the source: http://m.ebay.it/sch/vydzua/m.html?_pgn=1&isRefine=true Cheers

At least you have good services Here the public employees (for sure the well rewarded ones) are all friend of a friend who has someone is some political party... And often they are totally incapable and unwilling to do their tasks. Just purè madness.

That's the results of corruption, crazy politicians and (partially) welfare state. The rest of Eu is around 40%

Good to hear that! You know, the "which watch to wear" in a work interview is one of my problem: they are normally quite careful about your behaviour, dress code etc, so that count too. As a clerk that gets something like 45k$ annual salary (with damned 48% taxes on them!), which is even considered a good one here, I obviously can't go there with a 10k$ watch on my wrist (6 months gain: no way!). So last time I put an Hamilton Ventura, but it didn't bring luck. Tomorrow I'll have another interview (for an IT PM job in a WELL known luxury clothes brand). I am wandering what to put... Most probably I will use this one: still very nice and affordable even for me. What do you think?

Hi, yesterday I received a ZF Pam571 (from here: http://www.intime.co/panerai/1864-pam571-p-titanium-zf-1-1-best-edition-on-black-rubber-strap-zp9000.html) and a Miyota orange PO (frome here too: http://www.intime.co/omega/1810-planet-ocean-professional-orange-bezel-42mm-1-1-best-edition-on-ss-bracelet-a8500.html ). The PO for me and the Panerai for a colleague. As usual I took both at home to regulate them and put some silicon grease on the gaskets. And for the 1st time I faced the "camouflaged movements". In fact, despite that the Pam is a closed caseback, it showed up this way: And the PO is like this (photo from another model, just a different rotor engraving):: On the PAM I managed to find the 2 screws that are real and keeps the fake plate on the real movement, but I have NOT been able to remove the rotor: the 3x central screws are fake and glued in place, and the common 7750 central screw is not present.. I have been anyway able to regulate it even with the rotor and the fake plate mounted (just rotating the fake plate a bit in order to reach the 7750 regulations): On the Omega, I tried to unscrew the fake balance bridge screws... Just to discover they're actually fake! So I had to re-glue them. Again the rotor didn't came off: inside the central hole there is a screw, but it was a bit stiff (and making the rotor to turn with it while I tried to unscrew) so I didn't insist as again I've been able to regulate it even with rotor and fake plate in place (it arrived running -9s/d and with 0.8ms BE): Now, the question is: how (the heck!) is possible to remove those rotors, if I will have to work deeper on the movement in the future? Thanks Alex

Very very good rep for less than 200$. So happy with this!

What about proving to PP that he knew it was an hand made not original watch?
-
Gosh... What happens in these cases? I mean is he forced to send back the watch (so he is refunded) or he can keep both watch and money? I truly hate dishonest people :E

Not my cup of tea for sure. If I have to choose a Tudor with something coloured inside then this will be the choice:

Maybe I am too fresh in this hobby (ehi PBR, I didn't know you was part of these lands too!) but for now there are 3 reasons not letting me go gen 1. I am not too anal with details: I like well done reps, so the wrong pusher space of my vintage Daytona annoys me as like sunken dates in other chronos, but definitively I don't give a F. if the characters on the dial is 1.02mm bold intead of 1.00 2. 30 reps vs 1 or 2 gen? I prefer the variety... 3. I can't see the gen value for money, at least for the luxury ones: I would feel a total c_nt spending my hardly earned money to enrich some big corporation like Swatch group or Rolex to get a product which real value should be not more than 3x a Gerlach piece. Especially considering that I already worked for a multinational uber luxury goldsmith brand and I know how some of those son of a B. treat people... At the same time when a rep watch starts to show problems it is frustrating, and if this happens for 2 or 3 pieces together it is so frustrating that the "go gen" blinks. At least for 1 or 2 days
