  1. that was a fun read. I can't locate the part I to that article.. I hate navigating TZ! Thats why I hardly visit.
  2. No, rep from Mary. I agree, this watch is very elegant and well suited for any occasion. I could see myself owning the gen. That was just a small blue light bulb about the size of a AA maglite bulb, just to add some color to the lume shot. Photoshop brightened it up more than it originally was. Don't ask me how I did it, im a PS noob! Thanks again bud. The bezel came, too, so it was worth it in the end.
  3. How-To: Lose interest in, and sell any rep in less than a week By HackR
  4. I scratched my head for a minute, then when I learned how to resize the bracelet I was truly impressed with the design. Amazing! Here's a few pics:
  5. It's great to see it come back around. Well, what can I say when the others have put it so eloquently already. Two great members at it again. I love this photo. Can I frame it and hang it on my wall?
  6. I think the OP wanted to talk about how guns got into countries they were not supposed to be in, not the politics of Switzerland & the US. What is it about gun discussions that makes everyone go mad? My guess would be just like any other illegal product enters a country. Some of it gets caught, some make it through.
  7. The incorrect He on all of the readily available 42mm variety, dampers the effort. Most frankens are based on a good case with correct proportions. I'm so surprised there is no 42mm PO action. My POrikka has proven that such a watch would be a mainstay in my watchbox, if only there were a better version. A used gen doesn't seem completely out of my future somewhere. Omega NAILED it with the 42mm PO.
  8. way to bring it back. Askmen is written by a bunch of was not's that spent too much time lingering in their own cloud of axe body spray aerosols. The sub is 40, the SMP is 41. The thickness of the sub case makes it feel more substantial. I like the profile much better, the CG's, the hefty crown. Rolex does 40mm the best. For all intents and purposes, I believe 42mm is the new 40mm and not a fad. And for the record (as the OP) I like Pams. Being that I don't have one in my collection right now as apposed to usually having one but not wearing it, I feel like I am missing something. Just a little.
  9. Nice! I'm guilty of playing the "distort the rehaut game" with my watches in the water, too. Good clean WIS fun.
  10. I dont think much time was put into worrying about the watch for the split second of screen time it received. I think they needed a watch to shoot, and this abomination was close at hand. Who knows.
  11. Most watchsmiths tend to be asshats (sorry, but so many experiences like this don't lie). Keep trying, break out the phone book and hopefully you will find a good one with a call or two. Honestly, I think most of 'em are scared to do anything besides replace batterys anymore. Had he looked at the back and saw a 7750, he would not been able to assume it was the junk he's seen before.
  12. Someones got some skills under their belt!
  13. +1. Theres really only two choices. At least it's become more simplified than it used to be.
  14. Experimentation is part of the hobby. Try something new, you want a dry lube that cleans and protects chains. The WL & RR lubes are expensive but they're the best at what they do. Let us know if you find something good! Theres some decent watchboxes on ebay moderately priced. check out this guys store. http://stores.ebay.com/Turtles-watch-and-jewelry-cases
  15. Good idea! It's also kind've like rep-scrapbooking.
  16. Ordered a 2010V5 DSSD from Trevor Here's the QC pics. Opinions? Looks good to me.
  17. It's not going to harm anything, its just the wrong tool for the job man. Thanks for never returning my PM, btw. Sometimes spring bar tools don't fit the holes. Honestly, I happen to favor a simple push pin.
  18. I just had a thought and, well I'll just say it- Thanks RWG. Thanks for continuing to be the first site I choose to "check up on" when I open my browser. Thanks for taking me away from the reality of whatever BS i'm dealing with. On the personal level and on the net/pc/job/E-everything level now-a-days. Thanks for the years I've spent "viewing new posts" over coffee for a few, so I can get my head on straight and get on with my day. Thanks for the years I've spent "viewing new posts" over vodka, over ice, so I can get my mind right and get on with my night. (Confession: many nights now, I don't even think about RWG or vodka on the rocks. I'm married. ) Gone from age 28-31 while i've been a member. My lifes perspective has taken almost a complete 180 since my inauguration. Much better. : Thanks to the guys that keep coming around here, posting with that cool friendly demeanor, and making this place the easy, open-door, listen instead of wait to talk, type of atmosphere. Thanks to the guys that make the latter possible. Thanks for teaching me how to appreciate watches. To hell with reps, we're so much more than that now. I don't visit any gen forums regularly if at all. If half of our passers by would just stop for a moment and realize what they had, this would be the biggest watch community online. Thanks for reinvigorating my interest in photography. Thanks for the watches. Thanks for the friends. Feel free to keep this going/discuss.
  19. Looks gen, except the strap is nicer than Breitling OEM (just get rid of that Pam style buckle!).
  20. Thanks for the heads up. I'd like to nominate you as the official in-house Paypal expert.
