  1. Also if it's a rare Panerai, especially a ceramic the Paneraisti's will come at you hard - be prepared for a lot of 1:1 questions, staring and eventual / immediate realization this is a fake.
  2. that looks reasonably close - the dial could be a little clearer and serial# engraving setup isn't accurate... no actual power reserve indicator - working or not - just the lettering. bracelet looks good, buckle is correct. 88% accurate to me
  3. Considering most of us spend the average or 3-4x more per component that one of those DW watches costs, again, I don't think this is the place you'll find your watch Johnny. That said, don't give up on your quest, keep your eyes open at local jewelers used sections and perhaps if you're willing to save, save up $200 - $300 and get a halfway decent rep of a great watch. For example, this isn't 1:1 accurate, but it's damn close and was only $300
  4. The most expensive watch DW sells is $230...or am I missing something? I think you've come to the wrong place my friend...we aren't here to rep cheap watches. Members here routinely pay several hundred dollars to several thousand dollars in replicating fine timepieces. I can understand budget constraints though... if you're looking at that style sub-$50 price-point perhaps a Timex? http://www.walmart.com/ip/Timex-Mens-Oversized-Indiglo-Easy-Reader-Mens-White-Face-Dial-Watch/10727893 Good luck to ya
  5. Here's my gen 1601 - love this classic watch... 3 generations in the family now
  6. I also wish the dials on Zenith watches weren't getting so crapped up under this new guy.
  7. More than half of those are sadly just plain boring or horrifyingly ugly. Haute Horologie often sidesteps classic refinement/beauty in its translation into "groundbreaking technology" and in that loses me altogether. Richard Mille and Urwerk come to mind, and anything MB&F as purely awful interpretations. What is neat I think is the Sequential One and Two by MCT and the Zeitwerk by Lange.
  8. I purchased from Andrew, Omega 300 - arrived beautiful - great QC pics and communication. He was very helpful and easy to work with. The watch runs great, holds power and is everything I hoped it would be. +1 for this guy. I would also buy from PureTime without reservation.
  9. $2600 for a quartz watch??? Surely you jest sir. Even if it were real, no offense...
  10. Honestly, I prefer it without the date... and DWO's are so hard to replicate spot-on.
  11. To my eye that rehaut seems way too wide... I agree, mod is definitely needed or different crystal?
  12. Striking 10th rounds the clock in a tenth of a second and is a premiere high-beat movement from Zenith, more intricate than my 4021 El Primero for example. They typically sell around $5-6k used, and on the bay or $7500-8k NIB never worn. Amazing timepiece made famous by that guy that jumped down from outer space I think, Felix whateverthef*ck. lol. I would buy one.
  13. I have a Tissot I received for my 18th birthday ... That was 16 years ago. I've had it cleaned and serviced 2x ($150) and it's running an ETA 2824 movement, which is similar to what you find in a lot of rep's these days... that should give you some idea of longevity, it's off by a few seconds daily, at the most.
  14. Someone has a grey'd bezel like that for sale on eBay cheap... if anyone cares to search for it - might be worth picking up?
  15. Also, here's a lume-shot.. I bought mine from Andrew @ Trusty-Watch The pearl lume isn't correct, but the minute hand is.
