  1. Yesterday and today:
  2. Well, one member did do a torture test of my coating. You can read about it here: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?s=&amp...st&p=399606
  3. Good luck with your studies. It's never too late to go back and improve oneself. PS You don't deserve your license back after a DUI, but you seem to realize that.
  4. Good stuff! I've always that that strap with the black stitch would go well on a PVD too!
  5. Wow. Thanks for the update freddy......... Keeping tracking this one for us! I say if you can't wear it daily, then it's not much of a fix!
  6. The magnifiers have been produced and will be shipped to me shortly. There is, however, a fly in the ointment with regards to the AR coating of these little buggers.... And it is going to result in delivery delays for some people, unfortunately. PM coming soon to all people who have prepaid for this cyclops to explain. FYI!
  7. I would say there is always a risk of losing the water tight seal after removing and reinstalling a crystal when reusing the same compression ring. How high is the risk? I don't know, but I do notice that some rings are a little deformed after removing the crystal. Maybe it's that they weren't in perfect shape in the first place coming from the factory because sometimes it looks like when the crystal was originally installed, it actually crushed the compression ring rather than seating properly inside it. And the best fix for that is a new ring, but we don't really have spares lying around. I think the best thing to remember at all times is that these things are just reps.
  8. I think this bottle is a fairly rare / hard to find tequila. Also, prices in Canada seem very prohibitive.
  9. I'd not recommend either the Ingy or the SD.... While I LOVE the Ingy as an everyday watch, the rep with AR, lume, and Lello wheel is just too good for ~$500 USD. The big Ingy reps will probably be out this year, too. The SD, on the otherhand is one of those watches whose novelty will soon wear off, IMO. I might consider a 97%+ used Ingy chrono. The secs at 6 rep isn't very desirable. And, of course, there are many a PAM I'd consider in your price range.
  10. @avitt - single AR is hardly distinguishable from no AR. You get less reflections off the dial, and things look a little sharper, but overall with the exterior surface uncoated, reflections off the crystal are prominent.
  11. Hehehe you're like a kid in a candy store discovering AR for the first time!
  12. Best wishes, TTK. -Chief
  13. I don't understand how this happened since the PO AR is only on the interior. Is it a surface defect in the crystal itself? Hard to tell from the pic. If it's somehow the AR itself, then I'd strip and recoat. The PO doesn't look good without AR. And I can tell you that, unless you're a gorilla, a coating like mine is going to withstand most of what you throw at it. EDIT: Oh, you said aftermarket AR... Something must be wrong with that coating. PM me.
  14. This can be a good way to obtain harder to find movements, but you do have to be careful. These watches often have movements in dire need of servicing. And the latter auction is also the older 17J version of the 7750 - which probably isn't too worthwhile IMO.
  15. I've got a couple gen FM Conq dials headed my way right now... I'll comment on the dial feet positioning when they arrive, but even if they're not aligned I would assume that there is some sort of spacer that the dial could be adhered to. Then the feet would simply be removed.
  16. Something watch-related is a odd name for a cat. Before you go with it, my suggestion would be to try picturing yourself calling out "Come here Something Watch-related!" or "Something Watch-related where are you??" It doesn't really flow off the tongue.
  17. Rep.
  18. We don't need no stinkin' sponsored reviews!! Brilliant, Andrew. This is the forum at its best. Thank you!
  19. It's 28800.
  20. Looks good. Sead seems like a great new dealer too!!
  21. http://www.ofrei.com/page735.html Bob doesn't know what business he's in. He thinks he's in the watch tools/materials ordering efficiency business. But he's not. He's in the business of winning and keeping customers - and with me he's failed at it miserably... So therefore he now only gets my money when I strike out elsewhere, regardless of whether or not I'm likely to mix signals with him personally on the phone. But enough about Bob.
  22. If Bob Frei were not completely deranged and insane, OFrei would be my first choice every time... However due to his utter lunacy, I try to shop elsewhere whenever possible. freddy's list pretty much covers the alternatives. Watch-parts in the UK also has excellent customer satisfaction skills and service, but is more watch materials oriented...
  23. The gen either has single or no AR. Double AR *would* make that dial sparkle and pop, though. But if you're concerned more about authenticity, then no AR is MUCH closer to single AR... That is the difference between single AR and no AR at all is very subtle. FWIW
  24. Be not bereft. Better days are ahead.
  25. Although now I wonder if the older tritium Navis had AR?
