  1. Welcome to our community. As my esteemed brother has said we are happy to help and the main rule is just don’t be a dick. Stay the right side of that and we have endless patience 😁 we were all new at this game once, nobody expects you to instantly know everything, a little evening reading on threads that interest you will help you a great deal
  2. Sorry to hear this brother@champsy @kernow Legend is on this, he will cut us in very soon
  3. This is all I really want. It would be awesome Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  4. Zeros! “You know, you come from nothing You're going back to nothing What have you lost? Nothing”
  5. If any dealers were buying and selling his parts as genuine, then that is not just disreputable, it is criminal. However if they were buying and having stuff mailed out direct to their premises and paying for them from their own accounts, without bouncing through an address in a Far East or Eastern European country that isn’t too co-operative with trademark laws, then that is criminally stupid. Anyone who gets caught has it coming, They all vilify us, so if they get caught doing something most of us wouldn’t get involved in, I have no sympathy
  6. Mike on a bike, Kernow, Legend and me, @Makkaroonie you know where we are if you need us.
  7. Did you have a different username before or something?
  8. Welcome to our community. Please stay around, enjoy your time here and feel welcome to join in discussions I like Explorers, if you are happy with any watch and happy with what you paid for it, then it is not rubbish
  9. Be wary I think friends and family stops you being able to open a dispute if something goes wrong. You’ve been around long enough, perhaps a,CONUS brother would bounce the Watch for you?
  10. I can’t see why you were told this. A quick look at TDs suggests there are a range of movement choices as with men’s watches.
  11. I think that we have people who we can call on for each part of the process to end up with a case as good as phong’s Best more consistently and a little cheaper. It takes patience. Phong has been sued in the past and now Jensen is being sued. While I have been happy to deal with them I always thought basing such a business in the USA was asking for trouble, perhaps other suppliers are very wise not to provide a one stop service. I would love to find more suppliers of these cases, or better yet a contact to the maker/s
  12. Best place for you to go is your sofa with a drink and spend a few nights reading threads here. You don’t say what models you are seeking, but Noob is not always the best maker. As for Swiss movement of course, most of us would say of course not. Generally you are paying a premium for a movement pulled from a secondhand watch, repaired possibly with a mix of used and Chinese components and probably none of this done in a clean workspace. Save your money, buy a clone movement version and if at a later date you want to go Swiss, buy a new clean movement from a reputable parts supply house, it’s a straight swop Welcome to the forum and enjoy your time here
  13. Welcome to the dark side brother, good to see you here. Enjoy your time with us and feel welcome to join in
  14. You are buying counterfeit goods, expecting 100% honestly from any dealers is a little optimistic. You can look at SwissTime and see all the lovely watches they have, all with identical clone movements made in Switzerland. Sadly, their pictures are all of genuine watches, reps are made in China and the Swiss would never tolerate counterfeit goods being produced in their country, so no not quite 100% honest there. If any dealer is not a Trusted Dealer on this or any other site it is because either they have not applied or have applied and failed to agree to expectations, failed to pass a probationary period or been banned. We advise people to buy from trusted dealers on this or another rep forum they belong to because these dealers are as I explained, held to certain expectations and because we can help resolve issues. Many people new to this hobby tell tales of finding websites on the internet and being scammed, not getting a watch, getting a watch that doesn’t in any way resembles the images they were shown or getting a faulty watch and no way to resolve matters. You have already bought from Dtime, so they are sending you watches that you are happy with. I have no personal preference in what’s you do or where you spend your money. I do not like to see guys put off this great hobby by bad early experiences. If you really feel you prefer flying solo and not having this or any other forum on your six, that’s is your decision and your right. Mods here or elsewhere can not help with any issues you encounter. The vast majority of purchases by members from TDs go without any issues, very seldom do we have to even be aware of a sale. I’m also pretty sure you could have got the watch you already bought cheaper from our dealers. Again, that makes no personal difference to me
  15. Firstly Dtime aren’t a Trusted Dealer here or on any of the other rep fora. If you are happy with them, all is fine. It seems to me the prices you are mentioning are just a little high. Any dealer can get any Watch, by and large if a none TD claims to have a Watch the TDs can’t get, it is some sort of scam. There are many none TDs who do sell watches, some reliably. There are several expectations we place on TDs, but the big advantage is that for any member buying from a TD and encountering problems, we will step in to work on a resolution. We do so in an objective and fact based way and do not favour the dealer nor the buyer. Generally we can come to an agreement that satisfies all parties. No in case you are wondering the forum nor the Mods get any kind of kick back, we prefer our independence As to terms and shorthand, you will find you quickly gain understanding. In the meantime you are welcome to PM me and I will do my best to help you.
  16. Welcome to our community, enjoy your time here
  17. If you really feel that way, you are welcome to leave. If you just have understandable caution, then please do as we always recommend new guys do, stick around, read plenty in the general forum and in any brands you are interested in. You are welcome to interact in current threads. When buying anything, it is advisable to buy the seller first and by getting to know us and the community you will soon get a feeling for whom you are dealing with. This is not meant as an attack on you, just a mildly humorous simile, you are in the U.K. You have Small Claims Court, County Court, Crown Court, High Court and Court of Appeals, all of which deal with trade disputes among other things. Are you sure you are in trustworthy country or even planet?😁
  18. If talking between buyer and seller isn’t getting anywhere, the first point is to contact forum mods, who across the fora, work hard to resolve any genuine issues. It may be that someone is instructed by a Mod to file a paypal dispute, it doesn’t happen often though. Those that file a paypal dispute without taking these steps fall into three main groups. Those who are new and haven’t taken time to find out how things work, those with buyer’s remorse and no other justifiable reason to want to return items and those who are outright scammers. Generally it doesn’t end well. Increasingly Paypal is not just refunding the buyer. If replica goods are involved, they are likely to want confirmation that the items have been returned in the same condition as sold. Then they are increasingly closing the accounts of both parties, remember the other party can easily prove you knew you were involved in a transaction involving replica goods. Attracting this kind of attention is not a good idea for a hobby like ours. Word will get out and on many fora the instigator of a Paypal dispute that has not been approved by Mods will face an instant ban. They certainly will find people reluctant to deal with them in future. We very much operate as a community and anyone having so little faith in the community probably should not be here.
  19. Welcome to the community. Enjoy your time here
  20. As a Scot might say “If that’s yer moose a di nay wanna see yer rats”
  21. Hello and welcome from lurkerland and into the community
  22. Somehow I’m late to the party, but welcome to the community. If you need help, just shout. On forum or PM me
  23. The SS version isn’t in a great case, the gold ones are. One of the brothers is currently working on establishing what genuine parts can be fitted to the movement and what is a necessary or desirable upgrade for reliability
  24. Thank you brother, that clearly shows what all the fuss is about
