  1. Oh there are two many to list, many of which I could never afford😉 My interest in this side of the hobby is mainly vintage Rolex sports models though
  2. Welcome to our community. I’m unsure how much success you will have with this strategy. If someone is looking to sell it might work well for both of you. If not Sead caries U.K. stock and some of the other dealers do triangular shipping via the U.K. Once you have the watches, you can work with an EU based watch modder
  3. Select a trusted dealer and choose one you like
  4. I’ve been ex-pat most of my adult life, currently deep in rural Ireland and equally rural Poland occasionally. I was however born in Huddersfield
  5. It’s hard to know with vintage Rolex, I agree there’s is an element of Emperor’s new clothes about the constant price rises, but there are only so many vintage watches and if demand continues to exceed supply, then they will climb. In cars, there is a hot spot of about 25 years because middle aged guys buy the car they couldn’t afford, but lusted after as kids. Generally there is a slight decline in price after a car gets older than that. Maybe watches will go the same way. Cheap full dress Hogs. Buy ‘em, strip ‘em down to Bobbers like they should be and flog all that excess chrome online🤣
  6. I’m gutted to read this my friend. I wish you a full recovery and many more years with us
  7. WSO bezel can be fitted, a mate has done a few
  8. Actually I think it might be no harm to have found us after gaining a little understanding of the rep game. We look like an also ran on the face of it, because we are a quiet little haven of peace. However as Mike said, we have the guys with knowledge. I am constantly awed by the technical knowledge and horological repair skills here, my ability and confidence has rocketed in my time here, but never for one minute do I consider myself anything more than a total beginner I am proud to serve you guys and happy to do so for as long as the community wants me to. You all know how to reach me if you need me at any time
  9. Hello and welcome back. I’m not quite from Preston, but did have a Saturday job there when I was at college
  10. No, very much not recommended
  11. @Nanuq you know of my on going love affair with my 5508, that’s a small crown i have some 6538 parts stashed, I’m trying to tell myself I will be perfectly happy with an ETA movement and mostly failing
  12. Wishing you a wonderful 2019 @Stephane and all the community
  13. Welcome to the community. Firstly you need to know and understand what is a good replica, you will do this by reading any threads that take your fancy over the course of a few evenings. At first lots will make little sense to you, but slowly you will gain the personal knowledge necessary to enjoy this hobby. Once you reach this point, we will happily point you in the direction of Trusted Dealers
  14. Welcome to our community, please feel welcome to join in discussions and seek advice if you need it
  15. It’s the people that make the forum. People like @hologramet and you👍
  16. Also the dial, the Spectre does not have a “12”. Other than those cosmetic differences they are the same watch both as genuine Omega and as rep
  17. “I wish it could be Christmas everyday” Wishing brothers old and new a very happy Christmas and wonderful New Year, happy holidays, Lo Satanalia or whatever you celebrate

  19. ARF is one of many makers of replica watches
  20. If you search a bit, @rolojack made a very similar watch using a rep dial. Nearly as pretty and much more affordable
