  1. THIS is the machine all others can only WISH to be...
  2. Plating should take place while the movement is residing comfortably in a dust proof container somewhere else... Of course, it still isn't "safe" if you consider that you can be called out for your White Gold or Platinum Rollie having an improper "SS/YG" Crown... SS/YG Triplocks have 3 even sized dots... WG Triplocks - small LARGE small Plat Triplocks - Large small LARGE SS/YG Twinlocks - SINGLE BAR WG Twinlocks - TWO DOTS Plat Twinlock - ONE DOT SHHH... don't tell anyone... that be secret Rolex squirrel stuff...
  3. Ugly colors, fugly lightning seconds, gee, how un-Rolex... ummmmm... wait a minute... Maybe VERY ROLEX, and not very fugly at all.
  4. rm -rf
  5. This old thing.... Note: I am not wearing the original inner and outer boxes, the original hang tag or the original price tag ....
  6. Of course, you know, when you show up to work, wearing whatever has been made the final selection, you pretty much ID'd yourself, through this thread, to the disgruntled underqualified geek in the back that was passed over for "his" job you be stealin'....
  7. Steelfish Pug. Hmm, sounds like a Steely Dan homage band.
  8. I would probably add lugs to and wear an original B&R cockpit clock before THAT. I would have a more reasonable chance of pulling that one off and not looking like a moron.
  9. "White gold" is typically rhodium or palladium plated, not platinum. Platinum is more grey than the bright white you expect to see. As rhodium is more rare than platinum, it costs more. Palladium is closer in color to rhodium than platinum, and therefore is the "bargain" alternative.
  10. Anyone ever visit that "exclusive" Forum only to realize it was more outdated feeling than a Movado Museum watch?
  11. Two days in a row for this ugly little watch.... As you can see, today it developed problems.... Apparently Brake Cleaner is hard on old gaskets... And since Brake Cleaner has ZERO lubricity... it is getting cleaned and serviced tonight... I probably ought to treat 40 year old watches better... BTW: Any more guesses as to it's id?
  12. Heh, I'll be bad with you... http://www.make-replica-watch.com/about.htm Look's like your's is the "Gen."
  13. Say it... I know you want to... funnier than that "Sir Elton" quip. Reg Dwight, right. If I weren't secure, I just might.... T h i s i s S a s q ' s .. .. w a t c h. Hmmm.. must be a sister site... or they are stealing from each other. So it's not "Make-replica-whatsis.com?"
  14. What? Wasn't this the HEADER for the site??? BTW: This is NOT a "Man watch"... ... just call me "Sasq."
  15. I wonder what the little asian freaky chick waving an empty manilla envelope has to do with "Ventures" and "Growth." (Gee, I never stop) Call me Mr. Subliminal
  16. You should "Markbook" this thread Corgi....
  17. I'm pretty sure I can Make out who that is.....
  18. Ummmm...... No, no. Yes, in fact my IQ is deadly, in California (ooo, multiple levels to entertain myself). Only as a hobby, my degrees are in Computer Science (but that seems a hobby these days too). AND: Your right, even if for the wrong reason (brawn isn't everything). Thank you! I always was the largest nerd on the block (there I go again).
  19. If this be me Wokky - \_______/ Does that make this me POT-TY ???-------- |_______|
  20. OOO, very, very nice.
  21. "This kind of Omega"??? As stated, anything is possible on eBay... however what is NOT established is WHICH KIND of Seamaster this particular watch is, but the pics have established that it isn't a "Square-cased" one from the 70's... which you can find as cheap as $50 on the bay.... A note from the watchmaker that serviced it, as to which movement it contains, would go toward establishing a more accurate guess-timate. If it is a 354 swan-neck regulated bumper, you've got a great deal, anything later, a decent bargain..
  22. Stainless steel, croc, shark, stingray, eel... A lot of things on my list before "Iron Man" straps...
  23. From a dealer, you should easily find 1957-ish Seamasters, with 354 movements (swan-neck adjustment, bumper auto) anywhere from $1200 to $3000. On ebay, anything is possible...
  24. Looks like a fair Seamaster, w/ 354 "bumper" mov't ? Would say you can polish it carefully and quit spending money in it...
