  1. Missed this thread but with someone who comes from a medical family and a family ravaged by cancer, I wish you the very best of luck! Let us know if you need anything!
  2. Just watched: Eastern Promises (Great movie) and Fight Club (also a classic)
  3. You should have let me know you were coming! I would have come up from Fairfield and seen it with you! I'm a Patriots fan but regardless , that was an amazing game! Hope you enjoyed The City!
  4. I'm going to be honest, I've never really liked white on sport watches. I must say though, this is a beautiful piece!!! Enjoy!
  5. I'm a die hard Patriots fan through and through. But quite honestly, that was the most amazing game I've ever seen in my life. Both teams played so hard and fought their way back breaking records in just about every quarter. I love (and personally know) Belichick and know that he is genius, but he made a significant tactical error in not going for the field goal when it was 4th and 12. Regardless of this (20/20 hindsight), you do not walk on the field when there's still time left on the clock. No matter how upset you are, it's unsportsmanlike and unbecoming of a great team like the Patriots. The Giants played an amazing game and caused, without a doubt, one of (if not the) biggest upsets in pro football history and all I can say is that both teams had amazing seasons and I can't wait for football season to come around again!!!

  9. As always, Victoria collects some very beautiful watches! Enjoy!!!
  10. @ Ken: Yes it is That's really terrible. Hopefully it wasn't really the role that got him...
  11. I love Tourneau, esp. since they almost all they do is watches. Near me, Tourneau is great, I was even able to haggle down the price of my new SMP and they sent me a $250 gift certificate to boot (for the next time I spend over 1000) One of the coolest places I've seen PP's is at Harrods when I was in London studying abroad. That place has an amazing high end watch selection.
  12. I am NOT a B&R fan under normal circumstances but I find myself drawn to this watch...
  13. Beautiful! Porsche Design has designed everything from watches to external hard drives. Outstanding quality of design and that tradition is replicated in the watch!!
  14. Verrrry nice, sooo tempting
  15. Very nice! Enjoy those!!!
  16. AP is going places in the rep world...esp. if they get off the chrono reps and put ETA's in some of the nice non chrono's. As many have said before, they're eas(ier) to rep, they look great, and they really make a statement.
  17. @andreww- couldn't agree more @Daytona4Me- enjoy these and wear them well! Great photography!!!
  18. I congratulate you sir, that was a novel solution to the problem! I've never heard complaints about the stickers (i'm still new though, so that probably doesn't count for much) but there's a first time for everything. Best of luck with the V2.0 of this watch!!
  19. Really like this watch, please let us know how you like it when it arrives!
  20. Love it, might buy one soon!
  21. Sorry to hear about that The Zigmeister, best of luck spending a little more time to yourself!

  23. Many of us instinctively choose the "Swiss ETA" movement when purchasing reps. How/why has ETA come to be known for its history and quality? Take a look at this essay from : http://watchescorner.blogspot.com/2007/08/...5-years-of.html "Sunday, August 12, 2007 From Ebauches SA to ETA SA: 75 years of Swiss movements ETA, which is nowadays part of Swatch Group, is the largest Swiss manufacturer of movements, including the expensive mechanical movements appreciated by the amateurs of high horology. Behind these three rough letters, more romantic denominations like Valjoux, Unitas, and Peseux denote some hidden treasures, one would like to discover. ETA was not established in one day. The birth of such an industrial concentration actually even required the energetic intervention of the Swiss Confederation itself. Curiously this enthralling history is difficult to reconstitute. Only many partial documents exist (see bibliography), but there is not a single comprehensive account relating its history since the creation of Ebauches S.A. in 1926 until today
  24. Interesting timepiece and a solid review. Enjoy and let me know if you ever feel like parting with it (hopefully many, many months from now)
  25. I like them a lot!
