  1. Indeed... This is the gen with the Citizen movement (4 pushers... or, better, 3 pushers and 1 crown at 4) Edit : this is the Reveil (Alarm) version... Hence it has 4 pushers+1 crown
  2. I had a gen 1601... and now I have the same watch you are saving for... well, the feeling is almost the same (the ARF seems a little bit heavier)... BTW if you pretend that the ARF is a gen Rolex then you should avoid side-by-side comparison...
  3. Ok... the Miyota clone is cheaper than the ETA clone... fair enough?
  4. Uhm... the Breitling Navitimer Jupiter Pilot was a quartz chrono...
  5. I think that people should do their "homework" before go straight to PM somebody... There are a lot of info in the fora... and the newbie may do himself a favor (to himself and to the community) opening a thread about a question that hasn't yet replied... (share the knowledge!) Whenever you can't get the replies that you're seeking, then, and only then, PM someone and politely ask for help... "Right here, right now" doesn't work.
  6. Glad to hear that... all the best wishes!
  7. How many could tell that you're wearing a rep? Few of the people I meet have ever handled a Submariner in their whole life... I'm use to buy only rep of watches that I can afford or that people may think I can... (a 50,000 $ Patek? C'mon guys...) and I've owned many expensive gen in the past (Rolex 1601/14000, Eberahard Navymaster, two Breitling Chronomat, Universal Geneve Polerouter...) And the nowadays rep are just stunning... Only a trained eye may catch any tiny fault/difference... BTW... I would not say anything about my watches... I just let them guess...
  8. I was thinking that my country had the worst unemployment situation in EU... Good luck mate...
  9. Shame on you guys... let's help the Admin to buy a couple of Aged bottles... One of my all time fav...
  10. Thank you... useful info!
  11. The TDs can be found here https://rwg.cc/forum/230-watches-clothing-parts-accessories/ DO NOT search any seller by Googling his name...You'll most likely directed to a scam site (the scammers often use a site with the same name as the Trusted Seller...) The TDs often change their URL/Site... the list on the forum is updated... always rely on the URL on the list.
  12. Forgot to ask... just in case (pun intented LOL) what is better to fit? 2824 or 2836?
  13. Many thanks! Many cases are from U.S. ... If I win an auction I think I'll ask for a FedEx or UPS shipping although I'm going to pay the Custom Fees for sure (better than a lost/stolen parcel)
  14. Welcome mate... I have a soft spot for London... I've been there only twice ( 1st time in Sussex Garden then Russell Square) but I always keep that city in my heart ( Hey... That's where the Prog Rock was born!) Enjoy your stay!
  15. Looks good! But I can't find it... Link? (Please...)
  16. Thank you @Drummania Any suggestion for sourcing gen case/dial/bezel? (Question to anybody is reading this...) There is not much on eBay...
  17. Another question : Are the gear teeth in the same position and/or size? (Look at the teeth at 28...centered to the number on the gen DW... a little off in the 2824...)
  18. Oh wow... that looks like a 1603... May you tell me/us more about that nice piece? (And, no... I don't care to have the bracelet... leather strap would be fine...) Thank you...
  19. Thank you both... Forgot to say that I won't spend a grand... Hence the "affordable" cases and dials are the older one... I'm aware that I can fit an ETA clone on the newer cases (If rep maker can do it then we can do it aswell)... I need to know if buying an old case is a waste of money or if it could be used to fit a good clone (ETA or something else) and build a good franken. Furthermore I love the "plexi" 4 digit Oyster Perpetual look (No Sub) and that's what I would like to wear...
  20. What if I buy a gen Rolex case and dial of an old Datejust or Perpetual Date? (Rewind) Few months ago I nearly bought case/glass/dial/hands/bezel/crown/bracelet of a gen Rolex 1501... eveything was there except the movement.... Nearly, but I didn't. (Everything was in very poor condition and the dial was an awful brownish/reddish...) Back to present... What if I get an old Date/Datejust WITHOUT the movement? What movement may fit in that case? (Talking about size and stem height...) In those years (70's) many Oyster Rolex had the self winding 1570 caliber... May I mount the Yuki 3135 or a 2836/46? (I know... there is not reply if I don't mention the case...) @Legend Al, I need your help here... Please... Thank you all!
  21. Homework is... "mandatory"... Seriously, reading the forum I've got a bunch of info that are helpful to take the right decision when buying a replica (and sometimes are helpful for gens aswell) Enjoy your stay and remember that you can PM me for help at anytime...
  22. The pictures are nine... but we've seen enough at the first... My 114060 bought here M2M for 180€ has better bezel and SEL... And BTW... WHO IN THE WORLD WOULD SPEND MORE THAN 8000$ FOR A WATCH ON EBAY?! (I won't for sure...)
  23. Ciao Sergio, benvenuto! (thank you Paul... nice assist...) Qui sei in famiglia e tutti sono disponibili per un aiuto...ma ricordati di scrivere in Inglese, OK? @Sogeha
