  1. Thanks for the reference Lani! Again...welcome...read first...ask questions later and you will be good to go. To make life easy :
  2. Whoops...got my url's mixed up...Josh's is Big Bang Haven and Andrew's is Big Bang World: New Hublot Site Link
  3. You need to get another 3 for variations on leather straps. Great looking trio!!
  4. Thanks again for all the comments, and especially to The Zigmeister for the great work. I've updated this post to reflect an oversight I had made on the orange-ness of the chrono seconds and subdial hands.
  5. This is the strap I'm talking about...but maybe a biiiit lighter or redder...beautiful though. I love these chunky sport watches on gator.
  6. I'm confused...I must have missed a thread! I still don't understand the avatar.
  7. And that's why I like this place...because the decisions that make it into the public make sense and protect the members...and I can only imagine the tripe the Admin team has to deal with that the general populace DOESN'T see. Props to my peeps!! Keep up the good work.
  8. Nanuq...don't you know better than to keep the leash on your pet around playgrounds?
  9. ...not much to improve on the pics...stay in the gym, don't waste time on the computer like me. The Skyland is quite versatile that's for sure. I've been flopping heavily between the Skyland and By-Tor's Ebel...and think the Skyland might be more versatile so I"m leaning that way. The Discovery though awesome...is definitely more of a classier piece no matter what strap/bracelet you put on. Did you get the rep Ocean Racer deployment as well?
  10. Great write-up...I'm just starting my Breitling research now...
  11. Man...don't know how I missed this post before. I think it's because I wasn't as keen on this watch then as I am now. These are some sick macro pics man...great job. You are so down with macro now it ain't funny. Great job.
  12. Awesome macro work. I have to get a DSLR...badly. I have great pro film gear...but for stuff like this...digital is the best and I don't have the right gear for the job.
  13. Aaaa Stilty...you're no fun...where's that Canuck spirit? It's true what you say...and a good test for the Frankens especially that have parts of different ages, different sources, and as a result, different lume...but you have to admit, the strip-bar chic is fun.
  14. Great work...now kick that bra back on, and fire a 21 handgun salute. Congrats!
  15. I'll sell you what you need...just send credit card, bank account number and first born. I only sell Swiss Grade AAA+++ certified replica with just like genuine 38 jewel movement. 1:1...better than gen. Gen parts will fit case fine using belt sander and industrial epoxy.
  16. Nice TeeJay...I saw a UV lume shot on another post somewhere and couldn't find it...then relived it in a Children's Museum exhibit that had my watch glowing. It was pretty awesome.
  17. It's called a springbar strap and/or bracelet tool. The 3717 is notoriously hard: How to replace 3717 straps More Difficulty with the 3717 Bracelet The strap is easy...the tool pictured above is great for that. The bracelet is hard as the space on the end links is tight. The tool picture below is better (Bergeon 6111 or the mini spring bar tool...can't remember the number): The tool above has a mini fork tip which is much better for a lot of the bracelets.
  18. Ok...so the watches are a bit dusty and smudgy...but the results are cool I thought. The UV / Black light makes poor default rep lume look good!
  19. Every time I think this thing will be too big...I see these pics and I like the look of it so much. I did like it on the brown croc. I'm not so sure I like the big BREITLING lettering on the rubber but I do like the rubber strap. Thanks for the pics.
  20. They might well rep it...but boy would it look cheezy.
  21. I feel that way about the VCO too. I see the pics, and it looks to have a nice balance and clean design...but I think for me, I'll always see VCs as associated with amazing skeleton tourbillons, and fantastic lunar complications...extremely sophisticated and classy watches, and having a sport model with a modern font although extremely well crafted just doesn't seem right. It's kind of like Porsche making great sports cars...but the Cayenne line just seems wrong...when the only real SUV is an early year Landcruiser, or a Rover Defender 90. It's a great performing and classy car...but, who is really going to hunt for the Jade Monkey through the jungles of Mayanmar in one??
  22. Wow, there are some great pieces here. @Nanuq...what more can be said @Freddy...dig the DJs spinning the turntable @Kelster...what's that DJ doing on an Oyster...you need a Jubilee @arr...nice Speedy...don't see too many of those around with a 6-9-12 layout @Corgi...love the tourby, and the Blancpain is something else. @Stilty...the honey croc smokes...I put a Sub on a thin croc and the colour was great...but the thicker padded strap is really needed...the clasp completes it.
