  1. The custom guys here will likely be able to help you (though some are Canadian and US based). The only issue might be exotic leathers. Without the proper paper work you risk losing the band to customs seizures...but for fake croc or regular leather...lots around. Bob in Germany He ships overseas to Canada and the US all the time without problem.
  2. Beautiful shot...nicely composed...great bamboo background...a fine trio. Bravo!
  3. His gallery is here: HKTan's Gallery - password is hktan You can try PM'ing him: Aaron's Profile Great strap Lani...and it's cut to the case and deployment perfectly.
  4. Congrats...I'm right behind you.
  5. That's great. Love that compass...that's insane!! Thanks for sharing. There are some amazing aged Pams in there...amazing.
  6. Welcome aboard. Read first...post later...and you will be fine. Try the search function it works fine. Abbreviations It's not comprehensive...but should get you going.
  7. I'm definitely pretty new to the Bentley so excuse my dumb question here. What is the dead giveaway on the operation of the Chrono? The subdial arrangement looks pretty on from the pics I can see on the Breitling for Bentley site...font looks decent, hand length fine, etc. The biggest tells from what I understand are what was mentioned above, that the crystal shouldn't rotate when you move the slide rule bezel, and from what I can tell the date font is thinner and bigger on the rep than the gen. I love that caseback though.
  8. Yes. You will have to account manually for months <31 days. High end complications with "perpetual" generally in the names account for the months, and leap years as well...but those aren't repped.
  9. I've used Easy Video Splitter too...with good results.
  10. Good project. For posting pics, see this post (I just updated it a couple days ago): How to Post Pics
  11. Good effort! I'm not a PAM or a CAD person, but I can totally appreciate the effort, thought and time that went into this. Exciting!!
  12. I think the 5 spoke caseback is one of the coolest things about this watch. I'm not too into the "bling" of the knurled bezel...but I love that caseback. You can look here for a review of one from PT that has the proper caseback...so you know it should be available.
  13. ...or make payments on a gen Rolex. They always go up in price...a lot.
  14. I thought it was just called the Fish? SOSF is more accurate as described above with Family first, then Genus...the year/version is the Species Kingdom - Phylum - Class - Order - Family - Genera - Species = Replica/Genuine - Automatic - Breitling - Aeromarine - Superocean - Steelfish - 2008/2007/Asian/Swiss...etc Unfortunately, SFSO sounds better than SOSF
  15. Killer shot Chief...and the AR...well...
  16. Yup. You get your reps 2-4 days faster than I do. H.W. Perrin sells the full Bergeon catalogue...just get a part number and call them and they'll ship it out. They do mostly mail order and their parts are fair. Lots of gen Rolex and Omega if you need it. I've also gone here: International Watchman Cheap and decent for non-frequent use. If you have a Rolex...get the gen Bergeon die...much better than the Chinese ones. Here's Perrin's Contact Info: H.W. Perrin
  17. Thanks for the kind words. I don't know if the non Chrono crowns are as prone to stripping as the chrono ones, so hopefully you'll be alright...just don't push in too hard, and tighten too hard either. WBK...that's a name we don't see too often here...but the other boards seem to have alright things to say about him. I've seen a handful of posts here of WBK.
  18. That is a beautiful Tag...probably the one that's tempting me the most. I love By-Tor's Aquaracer...but think my SMP Chrono fits the bill for that luck. The Tag however has a much racier feel in a nice size than anything else I'm considering these days. Great choice.
  19. Yup. If you've got the right kind of jewellery supply store. In Toronto there is a jewell and watch supply store downtown, as well as H.W. Perrin which is the equivalent of Ofrei or Borel in Canada. For the most part...the Bay or check the RWG Tools Links.
  20. Just doing what others have done to me. The board has been good that way...much more congenial than any other I've been on. As you start buying and realize how much you've saved to get great quality...gain lots of knowledge, etc...think about upgrading your membership to make sure the board is still around when you need a "horological" fix. I actually was inspired to upgrade back when I first read an interview on master Watchmaker The Zigmeister found Here. I don't know what it was...but was inspired at the caliber of people found on this forum...but enough of this...don't want to thread crap.
  21. The power reserve is about 44 hours I think. It will NOT wind up as you wear it...that's an automatic. The spinning rotor on automatics is what winds the watch. On the manual winds, you have to wind the thing every 44 hours or more frequent if you want. An additional post to read: Moon Watch Guide AS to pressure testing...you can use the Search feature plugging in "pressure test" or "test a watch for water resistance" and you will find: How to test a watch for water resistance It can cost between $20 and $50. There are "dry" testers as well...not just the Bodum.
  22. Good job as I saw in your other post you did it. As your second task grasshopper...you don't have to catch flies with a chopstick, or shoot the wings off of flies either...but when you reply to posts, the system automatically adds in all the pictures and text from the post your replying to as a "QUOTE". Strip out the pics and some of the text to make your post "cleaner". Obviously keep them in if you are asking additionally questions or highlighting a point and want to reference the pic. The thread gets messy when the same pictures (especially a series) are repeated multiple times.
  23. Good luck...and take step by step pics. This will be a popular thread if you put it together. BTW...love the avatar.
  24. Uuuuh....nice post...but WHERE ARE THE PICTURES???
