  1. That white dial is great...with the blued hands, it really sets it off nicely.
  2. ok...I'm very jealous now. Great pics DB2...and a big congrats on that. Great to see an excited member posting back to the forum. Awesome.
  3. I have the men's version of this one...and it's quite a looker. I was a little surprised as I bought in a package deal...but when it arrived, I was quite impressed by the blue accents. Great choice.
  4. If you're in Canada...Somal Canada sells them for about $100 CDN.
  5. Aaaah...makes sense. Thanks Zig...I had a feeling that was the case...but wanted to make sure so nothing went SPROING!! Thanks again.
  6. There's tonnes here (note spelling). Welcome to RWG. You'll find shipping things TO Canada to be no problem...a boon for your rep-aholic needs. There's lots to read and learn here...have fun with it, and when you get stumped...post a topic and we'll see if we can help.
  7. Welcome back. Get the watch interest started early with the kids...it's a hoot.
  8. OK...this is going to be a dumb question but shows how Noob I am when it comes to movement assembly/disassembly. I'll be straight up here and say when it comes to movement servicing, anything I care about I will leave to the experts...that's you Zig. However, being one to be interested in things mechanical, I picked up a cheap A7750 for the sole purpose of taking it apart and trying to put it back together again. I have yet to start on this venture and am using this as a starting guide: ETA Disassembly Guide After removal of the balance, and before removing the pallet bridge, it says to "make sure there is no force on the main spring". How do you release the main spring tension??? Thanks for any help on this. I've watched a couple videos on re-assembly and have read this ETA guide a few times, but can't figure this part out. Any help anyone can provide is greatly appreciated.
  9. The Breitling combo is stunning!! Wow.

    WTF

Mmmm...that Gecko's going to be popular...
  11. I've seen used ones on the member sales section for as low as $160 or so if I remember right. Otherwise try Watchstation...I think he has them for about $185 now...not quite sure.
  12. Big congrats Oren. AND, after all the questions, great to see you put back to the Community and post some videos, pics and wristies!! That's what it's all about...getting information, and more importantly putting back!!
  13. I have Gigabit wired and wireless N running inside the firewall which is great for centralized data and backup management. I'm in Canada on Cable and pay about $55 incl taxes/mo.
  14. Cake (as in "stuff it in your cake hole")
  15. CSI (Who are you...Who Who Who Who)
  16. Great pics and a nice writeup. I think these 2 asian versions are some of the best value Rolex reps out there. Great stuff. Thanks for being part of the community.
  17. DB2...I congratulate you...and hate you...and thank you for your support...all at the same time. It's kind of like a Good Kirk-Bad Kirk thing...
  18. Focus on what good times you have with your son and NOT on what you're missing out. Live in the moment when you have him, and let those times be filled with joy for you and him. I feel for you Pho...I really do. I can't imagine what you're going through now. Keep the spending in control on the watches though...you still need to live and eat!!!
  19. Chris...love the dial of the orange/black Oris...stunning. I wish I had the wrists to pull off that thick rounded edge case though...
  20. There are 3 versions of the GMT movement: Asian 21j modded - the cheap one with varying opinions on reliability...doesn't operate the same as a Rolex gmt movement Asian ETA Clone modded with Incorrect (Wrong) Hand Stack - ICHS - hand stack order is different from gen Rolex Swiss ETA ICHS - considered reliable, but as with all ICHS movements, they don't function quite the same as the gen Rolex movement SWISS ETA CHS - Works the same as the gen Rolex movement, but is often considered unreliable, expensive and hard to source Most dealers will have the cheap Asian 21J modded, ETA ICHS, and Asian ETA ICHS. The bezel engraving on the GMT IIC can be good if you get the right one. Look for By-Tor's review and additional posts on the GMT IIc...he is one of the big authorities on it, and has posted TONNES of info comparing various versions of it. I think he got his from Precious Tim.
