  1. I heard second hand he is aiming for June. But whether it is 2010 or 20111....
  2. Wolf - stuff should be shipping today or worst case this weekend to me. You will be a happy man.
  3. Gen dial can be fit in a seconds at 12 (long story how to do it) but in spite of truer to gen construction the seconds at nine case is IMHO far more accurate aesthetically and more easily takes the gen tachy bezel so I stick with the seconds at nine case.
  4. Very nice. The one I saw looks more like the 6 million dollar man.
  5. I don't remember Mrs. Ubi having a particularly big wrist.
  6. It's also long gone. Went through a black one as well. Now just waiting on my ultimate keeper - silver with gen dial, insert, hands and crown and 2-3 for friends but am shooting for the end of the Summer at the rate I am going.
  7. SOH slides much easier under the sleeve.
  8. Some day. You guys gotta stop posting those pictures. I am finding it more and more difficult to say no.
  9. Robert- I was wearing that one the other day and I got 3 separate compliments on it. IMHO, one of the best out of the box reps ever.
  10. It is a great model. I had it for a while. It is one of the original ROO's in real life. It hasn't been made in years though and a lot of people want the latest one. Here is your watch in franken form: Funny part is those dials in gen form come up all the time. I have always wondered why.
  11. Actually it isn't a rep. It is correct movement and dial with handmade everything else including case carved out of block of gold. Think of it as the ultimate franken. You will never get called out but it ain't $17k - think more like $30-50k. I have seen one and the owner actually has a fairly extensive Patek collection but never wears the gens other than to appropriate occasions. He wears that instead. So I guess it is all relative.
  12. Day off - time for the sport watch.
  13. Looking really good. The Baton's are my favorite dials. Wear it well.
  14. Quite the contrary, this post is fascinating. Very cool to see case formation from a block of steel. Keep posting these.
  15. Don't pull it apart. I probably have one laying around if you are looking to get one reproduced.
  16. Yeah, the one I sent Ubi had the original gaskets. Hey Wolf, I think I am about to make your day. Your next project is back. The parts should be on the way to me today. Our friend came home and found the box he thought he had originally sent was still sitting there.
  17. Fabulous work. And I have to second the comment - there is nothing cooler than vintage chamfered edges.
  18. Inevitably this one gets repped. Breitlings are good sellers in the rep market. If they have any brains they will wait until the gen is available in the general market and take one apart before gearing up for manufacturing. And yeah, unless there is something funky going on with the bezel it should be able to be as good as the other Breit super reps.
  19. I am betting a lot of big watch guys line up. We will all just have to be patient and tread carefully. I just hope this isn't another DSSD where the ultimate version is really pretty good but four or five generations from 2 different factories down the line.
  20. Hackr- All the best. Have a great birthday.
  21. Of course the answer is some yes and some no. But I don't know how to identify which is which.
  22. I'll join the chorus. Happy B'day!
  23. It was only a matter of time. The Gaytona comes to Breitling.
  24. Mine - Added an 80's 17j, relume and repainted hands: Never got over the earlier generation though:
