All APROO has the same flaw of having the date window sit far on the right. This is default and can't be changed......at least till today. You'll never know though, the Chinese can now clone the 7753............. And the good thing about Safari is that you don't have to care about the relume, this really is a good bonus.

Just don't understand while the V2 has almost everything spot on, it uses the thin ring gasket for the caseback sealing instead of the hexa-shaped gasket used in V1. Or shall the construction of the V2 caseback is diferent which bars it from using the proper hexa gasket? This also puts a question on the water sealing ability of the V2.

I still recall the Safari had a plain white dial when it was first released. Obviously this has been improved in the latest version, surely now I can see a creamy dial with white subdials. This makes the model to be one of the my next seriously considered purchase, but then now they have the Diver which is so stunningly finished..........

This is a quite difficult project. I have it on my table but is still pending. Investment is salso quite big. 77753, correct datewheel, right dial/hands....... And the tough part is getting the movement retaining ring drilled with the correct spec for the date changing function on the 7753. Can't find any modder will d ouit for me yet. This now really pushing me to give up the whole project

Black will be your better bet. The Silver still have quite a number of issues. Bezel hex cutouts, subdial printings .....are far from the qulality what the other APROO Themes can offer.

Thanks folks. Now it makes feel I have made the wrong decision. Thought it would be a straight swap of 7753 into the case using the same dial and hands. But it is cleared now that is not the case. Will be a huge investment to make a 7753 powered 196. Sourcing the correct dila hands etc. will be killing indeed. Buit why the hands used in the high beat can't be used in the 7753? I understand the Swiss 7750 and 7753 are sharing the same canon pinions and hour wheel. This is not the case for A7750 hih and low beat???

About to receive the EL PAM196 with the functional date change pusher at 10, with the A7750 housed. Intended to swap a Swiss 7753 into it but wondering if this will fit. Considering the A7750 is modified with the tranfer gears so the total thickness of the movement is increased ( that's why for the sunken datewheel ). By putting in the 7753, the thinner movement is then sitting into a case built for the modded thicker A7750, shall the locking slots and the stem position aligned? And the date changing pusher will also align correctly to the 7753's button at 10? Any PAM fans has done this transplant, can you share the experience here. Would like to make sure before throwing $$$ for the 7753. Thanks a lot.

Lovely watch. Shall there be any obvious flaws apart from the date window position? The overall finish looks very impreszsive indeed. Been thinking of getting the APROO, but alas these models are flooding the market here in Asia, and they are easily found in the Yahoo selling site. It means people are very familiar with the fakes Very easy to get called out as fake.

The hour markers are still painful to my eyes. They never got them right except EZ has them done perfectly correct pr the gen.

BK modded WM9 YM is the only choice if you want the best. Don't know it has already appreciated to the USD700 level. Wow!

Hard to see the improvement, sorry to say. The printing on the 12 and 6 subdilas is still off-center. Alas, Still today the best cosmetic and finish of the APROO still comes from MBK despite the construction is not as gen spec.
