  1. Excellent, thanks for the unboxing...that is a true gem. You don't see these everyday, Cheers!
  2. Hard to beat a nice cold pilsner, on the cheap stuff here Perlenbacher premium but it still tastes nicer than the branded highstreet stuff. Must try some more Islay single malt, only tried Jura and laphroig, both lovely. Usually stick to the more mainstream Highland and Speyside (I do love Macallan and Glenfiddich).... but no shortage on offer, you'd need a large bank to try them all Vandal.tbh did you open that bottle of Glenmorangie yet?

    Best jeans

Sweet! 559 or 569 basic levi's! Squatters thighs here, and could never understand the crazy prices and madness over designer jeans....they're Jeans....not watches
  4. Ah shitte, I've no single malt here now, feels like I'm going through withdrawal, Ardbeg would be lovely....this fcukin pilsner is going down a treat though!
  5. Pmsl I've a gorgeous 7" wrist, upto 44mm max and preferably 42mm or below. I think that think would do wrist tendon's serious damage over time!
  6. Fisrt rule, don't post on the intersnts forums while pished outta your skin!
  7. I'm fcukin rotten drunk aswell
  8. Lol, Essex...lots of miniskirts, poorly applied fake tan, bling, accents that would make Grant Mitchell cringe, .....turned out the watch were fakes...or most of them, sounds about right, the gen watch probably stolen in a mash and grab on a jewellery store....alright dahhling, bling takstick!
  9. Lol, you must have been on the beer when you ordered that, ah never mind, the non chrono is lovely, but those pics make me want the chrono more and more now!
  10. yeah the whole CNY thing takes a lot longer after the holiday ends to tidy up the postal delays, some are lucky and get theirs through in good time but always a chance of massive backlogs! You'll get it soon enough, let us know what you think when you do!
  11. Well at least Josh and Andrew are more open to 'accommodating' a deal with customers who have problems...they like to keep their customer base! You can only ask and see, I'm sure he'd be willing to help, the suggestion of getting a new movement from him is a good option, it would be a fairly straight forward swap out and you would be doing the franken anyway so it would work out favourably in that regard. Shipping watches back to CN is always a pain, and a rebate off a new purchase watch still leaves you with this one to fix.
  12. That's odd, usually they can't wait to get them out the door after approval?, are EMS striking or just backlogged after CNY so they couldn't get it posted or something?
  13. Yeah, it's a difficult one, the crown and bracelet issues were fixable, but the movement issue is different, it would be expense to repair it (service) and it would be even more expensive to replace. It might be worth contacting the dealer and just ask what he suggests....even if its just a discount off another watch while keeping the current one. You also have some of the gen parts now so a working PO is probably a necessity at this stage, its just whatever works out cheapest to get you a working watch at this stage!
  14. Looking forward to the review Vandal.tbh, where is it? .....joking! Glad you like the watch!
  15. Excellent Prospex, glad you like the watch, love the quality of the sinn reps. Great photos aswell!
  16. Yeah, i'd have to agree, you got the straw a bit too short with this watch....any way of getting that old stem back in and then get onto the dealers? Or just say it pulled out!
  17. Good man, that's josh and andrew alright, they are pretty damn good at sorting out things like that with decent gestures! You should buy a cheap 45mm first and see how it looks...the 42mm wrist shot above looks like it fits damn good, although you'd have no issues with a 45mm. What are you 7.5" wrist?
  18. Just see your post jkay, that's what I thought aswell, keyless issues result in stem not staying in or staying in and not being able to set time or date etc. Sounds like a service issue alright!
  19. Just tell them the standard rep tubes are getting worse Yeah I see your predicament, maybe there's a straightforward solution with the movement, not very experienced in watchmaking here so maybe the more experience members will pipe in on the power reserve issue. Does sound like a teardown job though, a straightforward service would most likely sort it out. You got any rep friendly watchsmits near you? How is the watch running generally...as in timekeeping? is it reasonably accurate or well off?....sometimes 2824 can be very stiff out of the box
  20. Very strange, different tube than I've seen before, maybe it's just the way it looks in the photos?
  21. It doesn't sound like keyless, sounds more like the watch is in need of a service, maybe dry gearing or problems with the mainspring unwinding smoothly! God you've had quite a few issues with this watch it seems...I'd nearly request another at this stage?
  22. It's funny you mention Glenmorangnie Vandal.tbh, just tasted some of that over xmas but it was the 12 year old version, so your 18 year old should be superb....the 12 year old went lovely with a nice Montecristo No 4. Enjoy
  23. Hi Joo, thanks for the info, it's interesting that they are going to make them again, they are popular in their own niche way. The gen has become a bit of a cult watch at this stage, silly move on Omegas behalf discontinuing them aswell. I think it would be difficult to get them new now for £1500, seen many 2nd hand above that price, but the odd AD might have 'old' new stock in store that they are willing to discount. Will send you a pm soon, I won't go mad with the price...was just joking about that.
