  1. OK, I'm a little confused by this story: http://www.repgeek.com/showthread.php?t=17888 Is this TWP's site or not? I notice they don't seem to be offering mod services anymore.
  2. So, none of the attractive PPs?
  3. But I assume no one has had any replies to their emails?
  4. Is this website updated for April? http://www.watchgroup.net/
  5. Actually, when I am really drinking liquor it barely touches the sides of my throat, much less my lips.
  6. Thanks for explaining that Italiano; that's how it's done. Watchmark, you are doing a great job. I bet you would sell a lot of ceramic bezels if you could get them for $100 or so.
  7. I said the guys BEHIND Home Depot, they are not exactly affiliated with the store. For those outside of the U.S., these would be our hardworking illegal visitors from the South.
  8. THAT'S the one that really has me [censored] off, those large homebuilders have an absolutely insane profit margin to begin with. The next time I want to build a house it's just going to be me and the guys from behind Home Depot.
  9. Mark, I noticed a lot of the watches on your site measure smaller than other dealers. I think it would be better if you measured the watches at the case, instead of the bezel or dial, it can be a little confusing. I think the proper method is to measure the full width of the case NOT including the crown. For example, your Panerais should be 40mm at the smallest, 44mm for the "average" size PAM, and 47mm for the 127 and 217. Also, Pix or anyone else who has bought an HBB from Mark can confirm if they are the larger size.
  10. Not that I wear Burberry, but I am curious which seller on Ioffer actually shipped from California. Great looking watch and photos BTW.
  11. Still, has anyone confirmed whether Watchmark is selling the 41mm or 44mm version? I would be more interested if I knew if the bezels were interchangeable with the other models.
  12. Huh, I remember someone posted that this same watch was for sale for a lot less. I wonder if it is the same seller or a quick turnaround job.
  13. It's really good dried, kinda like sour candy.
  14. Momma told me if I can't say nuthin nice, don't say nuthin a-tall.
  15. Definite fake and it's too late for them to take it down. Who buys watches in zero feedback private auctions? Someone is about to get scammed....
  16. It's a great watch, isn't it? Mine has hardly left my wrist since I got it, I actually sold all of my lesser-quality watches. I think mine is about 60 seconds fast since Leap Year Day, I know cause that's the last time I unscrewed the crown. As far as mods go, I'm going with a double AR coating and Silix dial. The Silix strap was the only option for a while, but I was never happy with mine; the bracelet is an order of magnitude nicer. Here's the thread discussing the new version. About the bezel insert--to my eyes this is the biggest "tell" on the UPO. It's a real shame that it's such a tricky mod, but to me it would be worth it. Hopefully someone has photos of a dissasembled UPO bezel insert?
  17. From what I've read here, you CAN modify the gen bezel insert to fit. The downside is you have to buy the whole bezel ($222) to get it, which does not fit.
  18. What's wrong with these? I kinda like this one:
  19. I'm with you on this one, at least when it comes to Hublot reps. I like the Ice Bang personally, and even though it's made of the "wrong" materials the chances of someone I run into actually knowing that are practically zero. I have friends who wear gen Panerai, but they are far from WISs and I doubt I would even be called out on my Fiddy.
  20. I'm sure if this beauty existed in the real world it would have to be EXTREMELY limited production:
  21. If I only had a Fiddy! I just got back from the post office with these beauties, custom made long-tail straps from FxrAndy. My phone doesn't take very nice photos, but the first pic is better since I used the macro mode designed for scanning business cards: The straps are really great to handle, the colors are rich and deep and the leather has a great smell. Of course I had to send TWP another email about my watch, here it is on a Strap Culture doing a Mini-Fiddy impression:
  22. I have had good service from Silix, about average among rep dealers I'd say. This topic reminds me of something; what would it take to form a ranking system for dealers, beyond just the subjective user reviews? Besides simplifiying things, I think it would be more fair to the dealers themselves. Just something simple, like 1-5 stars for communication, shipping time, product versus description, return policy, and overall experience. These easy-to-compare rankings would also serve as an incentive for dealers to improve their services and improve competition.
  23. Words to live by: And who didn't love the part where Rocco was screaming about the cat? Are those thick-type straps available anywhere pre-made? I'm a little curious about them now.
