FxrAndy
I would say it needs just a touch of age now

FxrAndy
But dont go to far, I think JMB has a the perfect aging method, he just washes the watch in the cuttings under his lathe, me i just wear mine but wear them hard.
bkwbkw
What temp and duration did you put the dial into the oven for? I've messed up (bubbled) a few dials, and want to find a happy medium or benchmark to use as a guide to toasting the dial. did you do anything to the caseback? Looks sweet! Looks sweet! just put it under a simple 50watt light, I would say around 5cm from it, and it took around 15 minutes... But, have a look each 3 minutes because it's long to begin to toast but when it comes darker it's fast.... Nothing done to the caseback yet... Zackb911
Did you remove the dial from the movement to bake it or just de-case it?
freddy333
Where did you get a datewheel with a long-tail 3 (which I have only ever seen used in the minute subdial of a Newman Daytona)?

Rolexaddict
You are lucky, your rehaut looks like the gen watch, those from Josh are to high and need to be reduced... but on the nother side, they have the correct silver date wheel
praetor
^ yea, I had to reduce my rehaut for my 1665 too, using a drill press and a sanding attachment, works like a charm. ugh... so busy Edited July 15, 2011 by praetor
Nanuq
That's one of the very few COMEX I have seen with an "O" that's sorta squared off on the inside. Most miss that detail. Very nice indeed!
