Gen around usd340?

Guys,

A friend is looking for a cheap gen as a present for her brother. The budget is around USD340. Is there anything you guys can advise?

Im not familiar with these kind of gens but some brands that come up to my mind are Swatch, rodania, seiko, tissot, or am I wrong?

I think a nice starting watch in this price range would be a Seiko Monster.

Nicely built, it's an Automatic and you can swim with it. You can get it on

Rubber strap or Stainless. Orange or Black face too.

Also some of the Luminox's are nice too. I have the 3081.BO Chronograph

and Love it! Black and Stealthy.

Armida good reputation and have a Luminox  nice, so many around that price point. But I vote for the Orbis Morgan have a few very happy, had awhile and still running great.

I would vote for a Seiko, quality build, good reputation, and very nice watches. You can't beat the lume on Seikos either. Monster is very nice, but they have a lot of models that fall in that price range. Look at the Seikos on the net, lots of sellers and deeply discounted prices.

Simply put, Seiko is the Honda/Toyota (in your price range) and even Lexus/Acura/Infinity (Grand Seiko/Spring Drive) of the watch world if comparing to auto brands.  (that's how I explain to my non-WIS friends)
