ryaku Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 (edited) This is the genuine watch: Replica: Edited December 31, 2006 by ryaku
JWR Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 Wow. The red accents are particularly striking. This is about 42mm, right?
section8 Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 Does that come with the perforated leather band too?
Dani Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 Nice planned on buying gen of this, but this rep looks more then good to put that idea on hold
Jason Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 I have always loved that watch, glad to see a nice rep of it! Also I believe its 41mm
chrgod Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 Finally! They have even managed to get a decent accurate design on the rotor. I don't have any display caseback chronographs yet... This one or the Hublot BB..?
By-Tor Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 They come up with at least one magnificient rep every month. I've always wanted a Carrera. It's such a legendary model. Hmm... I'm currently between Steelfish Superocean, Chronomat Evolution and now this. Damn... this is NICE!. I think I need them all though... I forgot the Hublot already. That price tag surely had something to do with it.
Dario33 Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 Classic watch...looks like a decent rep...
olga Posted January 1, 2007 Report Posted January 1, 2007 I have been waiting on this one. Actually I tried on a gen yesterday, so the timing on this one is perfect. I received an e-mail from one of the other dealers that they will have this model soon. I don't want to say from who it was until they're ready to announce it themselves, but I'm guessing all the trusted dealers will have this model within a few weeks.
chrgod Posted January 1, 2007 Report Posted January 1, 2007 Anybody knows if the bracelet version will be available as well? I guess it uses the same Carrera-bracelet type as the regular non-chrono Carrera replica. I hope the bracelet will be as good as the Link-bracelet! Anyway... 2007 looks to be another good year for replicas!!!
By-Tor Posted January 1, 2007 Report Posted January 1, 2007 @chrgod: I'm more attracted to the bracelet version as well. And you're right... 2007 looks promising already. Perhaps we can even get the mighty Aquagraph/Aquaracer eventually.
andreww Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 any other dealer have this besides King? Trusty has this on his site now too!
gioarmani Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 Does it come with a brushed steel band? I almost bought the gen in that.
cskent69 Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 This is definately in my list of next purchases. I am going to wait for the steel band though.
hupholland Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 This is really GREAT! Had this one on my genuine list, but I think it is to expensive for what you get. Hope that this watch/rep has less quality problems as some of the other new rep's that came out.... Hope to see the first reviews and pics shortly. regards Huub
olga Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 Just ordered one from King. I'll post some photos when it arrives. For anyone interested Kings price is 255 EMS shipping included. She is having some problems with her internet connection and can't log on here at the moment, so she asked me to post the amount for her.
Devedander Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 I am eager to see some hands on reviews of this one... look incredible... Here's to hoping for some bracelets for it to come along...
Category 5 Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 YESSS. This is the watch I have been waiting for. Can we please have it with a steel band as well? I bought the quartz brown version from TTK last year and thought it was superb. I knew the 7750 version had to be coming soon. I almost want to pull the trigger, but I think I can hold out for the steel bracelet version. I also wouldn't mind seeing the brown version with a leather strap. Nice back too. Just like the Gen. I can't wait to get my hands on this guy! I also saw it up on Andrew and Josh's sites. I imagine everyone will have it soon.
ryaku Posted January 3, 2007 Author Report Posted January 3, 2007 Considering the popularity of this watch a group buy wouldn't be a bad idea... Richard ...are you listening me?
mossanti Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 I love the Aquaracer better...big and thick
Guest Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 Hi, I love this watch, but I think that the REP have the wrong number inside internal crown (see attach the GEn from the officilal site)
ryaku Posted January 3, 2007 Author Report Posted January 3, 2007 Could you please be clearer? I don't get your point. Do you mean internal numbers 05, 10, 15, 20 ... ? They look right to me.
abakan Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 Could you please be clearer? I don't get your point. Do you mean internal numbers 05, 10, 15, 20 ... ? They look right to me. on the official website the inner bezel marks ( 05 10 15 20 etc) are askew!!! The funny thing is if you search for this watch picture on the web or go in the store they will be aligned properly (05 with 5 min marker etc), meaning - either TAG guys screwed up assembling the watch for a photoshoot or they used a computer generated pictures where they messed up the alignment of an inner bezel. This watch is very close to the original , I just wish they did it with the bracelet too.
ryaku Posted January 3, 2007 Author Report Posted January 3, 2007 (edited) Thanks for the clarification, now i get it. However it's not a issue, i saw the watch in the flesh and i swear our replica is accurate and correct. Edited January 3, 2007 by ryaku
