Thanks for the heads up. I've just bought a pair or five. If all goes well I'll post a few up here for other members benefit. :D

Got a set of these at home I bought a few years ago.

Work ok but the plastic parts are fragile and break easily. If you snap the little wheel off the measured distance sometimes jumps like mad.

Also turn on VERY easily, so the battery doesn't last long.

For what it's worth...

In my experience cheapo digital calipers are Ok for measuring cases, dials etc but may not be accurate enough to use for machining parts, fitting bezels, crystals, and other things that require precise measurements.  I own a couple sets of Harbor Freight calipers and they may or may not give the same reading on the same part over and over so I use Mitutoyo calipers for precision measurements.  I have a steel standard made to calibrate mechanical micrometers and the HF digicals will not give the same exact measurement of the block every time but the Mitutoyo calipers will.

Ditto. Cheapo calipers are handy, but I wouldn't use them for anything which absolutely needs to be precise. Plus, in my experience, they burn through batteries like nothing else.

There are some good teardowns and comparison videos on youtube for these sorts of calipers. Here's a good'un: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WvszAb0Y0Ec

Nope, mine never arrived either. I messaged the seller twice but never received a reply so I contacted Amazon and got a refund. Shame as I also ordered a thermometer - which never arrived either!
