Another great piece interaktiv! Glad the watch is getting a nice b&s worthy strap. Too many great builds are on cheap straps which always bugs me :)

The dial is interesting! Where and how did you source it?

Dial and Movement I have bought from eBay. This was a one-time action, not one of the dealer's.

Hi. Congrats on the build.

I don't mean to rain on your parade, but that is not a gen dial. Possible redial, but definitely not original. If it was advertised as such, and assuming you paid any more than say $500, you should contact seller for a refund

Ahhh, very cool idea.    Is the oil just motor oil?   And the brown spots just happen randomly and then you clean it well and whatever stays is what we see?

Nice job.

I use olive oil, you know I come from Greece and we have enough olive oil ;)

I do the whole in two views: First the well cleaned case heat up and cool in oil, since the whole surface gets a light brown color. Then I dry the metal (with the threads and corners always remains something oil) and repeat the whole again. In the positions of the rest oil remained, there come the brown spots.

Unfortunately, you confirmed my suspicions.
