Thanks guys for all your nice words!

I am glad you enjoyed those pics!

@deltatahoe

Yup, I know that GF who not only accepts our hobby but also shows genuine interest and helps with it all is a real holy grail... you can be sure I really appreciate her!

She actually said that I really got her into watches now and that she started to really enjoy it... well let's just say that we have another watch for my beauty on the way... will post pics once we get it of course :)

@Dani

There are 2 keepers on the strap but since the strap itself tapers down to only 18 mm at the buckle it is not possible to move the keeper too much.

Here are some additional pics for you all:

Gotta love the crown and those pushers:

Caseback:

And some pics of the Aquatimer with its predecessor - a GST:

And one more wristshot:

These are the best wrist shots I think I've seen of the Cousteau...

It really is a nice watch. It's also amazing to see it next to the GST and the actual size difference....not small!

I would be curious to get your impression of this one vs. the Hublot Big Bang.

I've got the Big Bang, and it has changed my rep collecting habit. I am now interested only in watches that can displace the HBB on my wrist for significant periods of time...and other than the IWC CD, there aren't many reps out there that are worthy.

Great pics as ususal!

Looking @ the caseback pic, I'd swear that the boat is stuck to the glass, not the wood. Haven't heard this reported....wonder if this is the case, just an illusion by the shadows in the pic, or whether the guy who made sql_pl's watch is a free spirit or something...:D

I don't own one, but I'm sure that the ship is stuck on (or in) the glass, and not inlaid in the wood. You can tell this by the shadows of the masts in the picture above.

You should be ashamed of yourself......spending that amount of money on a watch....and there's your poor g/f......hardly any clothes to her name......wearing a pair of old torn jeans......whatya thinking man......buy the girl some new jeans.....!

AND .......WOULD EVERYBODY WHO LOVES THE PHOTOS......STOP BLUUDY INCLUDING THE PHOTOS IN THEIR QUOTED POST.......IT SLOWS UP THE LOAD TIME.......I HATE THAT.......admin.....SORT IT......SO THAT YOU CAN'T INCLUDE ANY PHOTOS THAT ALREADY EXIST IN THE SAME THREAD.....!

Sorry for thread crapping....!
